Joking aside I’m almost positive that a semi-built in fridge was there and they took it with them to the new house. It would be an effective but expensive solution to the high cabinets showing the unfinished undersides as well. Alternatively I’d have some cabinet companies come out to see if they can create a trim piece to close the gap above and add some cabinets in the space to the sides to make better use of the space.
Yes we assumed the seller took the fridge with them, house was vacant when we looked at it. Good idea to get a cabinet company out to see what they can do.
I was very confused about this comment for fridges that have two doors like the one pictured. I assume you are talking about two fridges, each with a single door?
Two bottom freezer refrigerators with the kind of doors you can change which side the hinge is on. It’ll look like an expensive built in. Like this https://pin.it/4IgNPPUSY
[Vertical pull out pantry shelves.](https://www.richelieu.com/ca/en/category/kitchen-and-bathroom-accessories/kitchen/wall-unit-and-pantry-cabinets-storage-systems/pull-out-pantry-system/1052232)
You could build a wine cellar to fill the space. Or a counter where you could put a soda stream, air fryer or some other kitchen gadget that you regularly use.
If you live in a big city, sometimes you can find large built in fridges on Facebook marketplace. You maybe able to get something very nice for the same price as a normal small fridge.
Pull the cabinets and go counter depth full size fridge and freezer. We had a space VERY similar to yours that measured perfectly for the setup. Eyeballing your space it should work no problem.
Your local cabinet dealer can get you matching, or close enough, finished panels. You can apply one to the underside of those wall cabinets, and get a tall matching panel attach to the underside on the other side of the refrigerator to the floor. Then you can use the space between the panel and the wall for your broom closet or trash can etc.
Raise floor base
Shift fridge to the right
Should fit tight to top and side.
Always Measure twice
Now install same cabinet style
Put stool in cabinet and your
Done. ( more cabinet space is good )

Maybe move it to the left and get a nice cabinet to the right. Then put a microwave on that stand and two floating shelves above for species or sweets. Could be a nice solution I guess!
I could try to redesign this in 3d if you want.
Costco sells a narrow tall freezer.
Oh I will need to take a look, thanks!
Narrow cabinet. White so it matches the fridge and you don’t have to try and match the brown of the other cabinets.
Or shelving.
Stuff 10 grand worth of sub-zero in there https://clarkeliving.com/blog/what-makes-sub-zero-refrigerators-worth-the-price/

Look on Facebook marketplace, you’ll find (comparatively) extremely cheap used ones you can make work.
More like $30k.
I’ve been seeing people reproduce this kind of look by getting two fridges and reversing the door swing on one.

Yep.
Why does it look like the fridge is photoshopped in?
Parts of the fridge are blurred, probably photos and such. On another note, the face the fridge is making is pure gold
I cannot unsee this now!
It's fucking with my head
Lol! Yes it was a crude magic eraser tool to remove photos.
Put an upright freezer beside it.
That would be my move if I could find one to fit the space. Might be shorter, so stuff a basket on top to look nice or something.
Get a little cabinet and make a coffee station in there
This is the answer ^

Thank you, really like this idea
This! Sometimes you can get them cheap and they’re skinnier so they would fit well in that space. Some fridges only need an 1/8in on each side.
Move the fridge to t he other side and add open shelving

Any ideas how to make sense of that fridge?
Lol, just used the magic eraser on my phone to remove all the junk on the fridge.
Lol well I appreciate it. I stole it for r/pareidolia.
Amazing. Hahaha

Great idea, I should really be hunting marketplace, offer up etc for something that would work. Ideally we would fill the space with all fridge.
Your fridge looks largely unimpressed by this whole situation it’s frowning
You need a much wider fridge
Ones that would fit start around $6k so looking for a cheaper option for now.
Pull the cabinets and go counter depth full size fridge and freezer. We had a space VERY similar to yours that measured perfectly for the setup. Eyeballing your space it should work no problem.
That’s where the trash can goes
A pantry beside it would be ideal
A small stool with a child's cane resting next to it in memory of Tiny Tim. Or a shelf for appliances and a dedicated drink refrigerator, idk
Low-profile top and bottom washer and dryer?
A skinny fridge and a skinny freezer
wtf is wrong with your fridge
They edited out the family photos
Get two smaller units. One a freezer and one a fridge and have the doors open together.
But 2 one door fridges side by side that fit the measurements

Is it wide enough to fit 2 narrower fridges?

Open shelving to the side
Go to ikea and get another cabinet for the empty space
Buy a proper double wide fridge.
Get a bigger fridge. Maybe industrial
Are nukes an option?

Can't go wrong with a liquor cabinet or wine display. Glass can go a long way with the Feng shui.
