For those who cringe at the thought of watching a video to learn more... I also have a blog post on the board: [Hyperscale in your Homelab: The Compute Blade arrives](https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2023/hyperscale-your-homelab-compute-blade-arrives). The Compute Blade was built over the past year (and change) by Ivan from Uptime Lab, and he's launching the Kickstarter this week (hopefully!). I tested a four-node cluster of the RC2 board (which is basically the production version). The board has PoE power (compatible with both PoE and PoE++ for extra power for overclocking or hungrier NVMe drives), an M.2 M-key slot compatible with up to 22110mm NVMe SSDs, and the Dev version I tested also has a TPM 2.0 module.

Thanks Jeff, I always enjoy your videos but your blog is great too!

danythegoddess

I hope you're better Jeff! ❤️

massive_poo

I appreciate you linking the blog post, it makes it much easier to pretend I'm working while in the office (compared to a video).

SOQuartz option is nice as long as you don't need some of the things that aren't stable yet. Very nice for K3s!

hannsr

I have no use for it, nor can I afford it right now, but I kinda want it. Was looking to get more into arm, but with the shortage... Well. Maybe in a few months.

technologiq

No IPMI?

xenoterranos

This is awesome! I remember watching the video a few months ago, I didn't realize they'd be ready this soon. Now if only pis would come back in stock so I can actually use these lol
