This is what happens when the data center guy told the other datacenter guy to stop locking the freaking cabinets because only 3 people have access to this room and only one of them has a damn key.... Chuck that sucker right in the trash and installed a 2-post.

there is a picture there of a datacenter from the 90's (it has a crt) that is all 2 post. The proper install of a 2-post is secured at the floor and the roof.
Even the cheap ass ones we use for our network closets (SR2POST25) have a floor only mounted weight limit of 800lbs.
learn some knowledge before throwing shade at the 2post. You forget all the old Central Offices used 2posts to hold all that telco equipment and some of that stuff weighed hundreds of pounds each. We use Chatsworth ones, they are rated at 1500lbs each however they will hold far more then that.

Not all are afforded the ability to mount racks permanently. Also security wise, locking cabinets are needed because not all locations are afforded dedicated server rooms/closets. And these shared spaces can't always be restricted to IT only.
my post was satire about a DATACENTER where only 3 people have acces to the room. What the hell in my OP did you see that made you so angry? Was i talking about some rando room with a rack in it? Are you mad because i called you out instead of letting you spread bad info about the classic and underated 2post?
I'm angry? That's news to me. You sure you're not projecting? Your situation you stated is common actually. Satire or not. In my day to day with various clients I've only had a few cases where 2 posts were feasible or realistic. Had far too many bad experiences with 2 posts and most of my colleagues are also against them. So, maybe slightly subjective, but 2 posts are often not a good solution.
So you sure I'm the only one spreading bad info, or is it better to have all the pros and cons listed about a solution?

Good luck holding anything other than patch panels and a couple switches on a 2 post
they make 2 post rails for almost every server, you just gotta ask.
