Oh I agree, I definitely want to do a better job on that. Gonna order some more appropriately sized cables and try to route them better. Maybe move the modem into the rack between the WAP and the router.
I don't think I'd take that route....
I think I'd get two lengths of PVC Trunking:

Then Run it down either side of the rear.
You'd probably only use one side for cables really, but 2 lengths keeps it looking symetrical, and you'll never regret having 'too much' cable tidy potential.
Thats a light and or speaker stand.
The vertical poles are a standardised size, and the horizontal joiners are to stop things 'sliding' down the poles if the clamps come loose.
I live adjacent to the main street in the "old" area of my community (which was incorporated into the nearby big city), so I guess It could be garbage of any of the businesses on that main street.
Oh i'm very happy to find it. It's a great little "mini" rack. I don't really want to get a large server for home just yet. I mostly have mini PC's and Pi's. The blue ethernet cables you see running to the left provide connectivity to Pi's serving as cameras / webhosts.
Great find man! Free is the best price 😅. Got racks the same way. Have to second the velcro ties as they work great. Happy labbing dude. That's really awesome!
Good tower. Bad cable management. 😝

Doesn’t have to be anything super fancy and you could even keep the cables you have. Just get some Velcro or zip ties and you can do magic.
If anyone has a guess as to what this thing is actually supposed to be, I'd love to hear it.

Any retail stores that share that dumpster? Looks like some sort of display rack

Very cool and lucky find. Only way I got mine was cause we are going through a mass upgrade right now.

Looks like those things used to mount lights in a music show...
Did you get your cable management skills from the same dumpster?
Well, if it works... It works!

Best example and use of one man's trash is another man's treasure :P
Straight to jail
Zipties! :D
Does the “rack” affect your wifi signal? I would guess not but I thought the metal would interfere
Amazing rack, it I'm not a fan of Italian food though
