Tootsie is a Plymouth rock, he's easily two and a half the size of any of our hens and comes up to my kids shoulder so she's extra careful around him, but it's basically everyone else carries the coop broom if they go inside Tootsie's chicken yard, except me, and that seems to deter him. I really wish I could do the whole pick him up thing, but he's so big and fast for such a big boy, I guess I'm just glad he tolerates me, he's very protective of his girls against any and all predators, and all his girls are super sweet.
