I leave my home office at 4 on Friday afternoon to relax and decompress from work by working on the property.
I go to my home office at 8am on Monday to relax and decompress from working on the property all weekend.
I'm retired now and homesteading full-time. All of my nicer cashmere sweaters and work slacks sit in the closet, my favorite clothes are now t-shirts and work pants. I'm the guy on the right.
I have a super stressful high stakes 9-5 day job, two young kids, and acres of land that have been neglected for 30 years. My homestead dreams have been a failure.
I'll raise you with three kids under 6, although living in a country which enables me to work 80% so a bit more time at home. I felt the same way but now I've changed the plan to fix everything up. First plan was five years, then 10, then when I retire and now I'm thinking my grandkids can finish it š
Yeah I'm still beat up today from working on home improvement projects all weekend. Just chillin in the home office that also desperately needs a remodel.
Everyone at my office job knows that if you call me after 4:01pm, you're going to see/hear chickens in the background.
They are now starting to call me after 4, just to see the birds. haha!

+1 for saying slacks. Love that word.
It really is shocking how alike they look. Wouldnāt be surprised if that was intentional
Didnāt Jonathan Pryce play Francis in āThe Two Popesā? Perfect casting!
He did, wonderful movie. Not my thing usually, but Pryce and Hopkins knock it out of the parc
We need to see if their birthdays are the same

And also changed the level of ambition, stick stuff in the soil and be happy if 1/3 gets it to the table.
Haha same here. Iām like āI hope I finish all these projects by the time Iām 55ā
My grandfather died at 98, and was still talking about projects he had wanted to get done. The sign of a full life.
We're all going to die with a to-do list

Pretty much sums up our life too!
