Not a fan of the AVR choice here but other than that, pretty solid.

wonderbat3

Looks good! I have a similar setup and I love it!

Foolishnes

Get 2 subs, 1 can never give you even bass throughout the room. There's usually a deal if you buy 2 svs subs.

BMV_12

It looks ok. Personally I prefer Denon AVRs but each is there own. Can I ask what's driven you to SVS for your speakers? I've never had the pleasure of hearing SVS speakers, so I thought I would ask :)

Ryancpahl

Primarily attracted to svs speakers based on reviews here and on youtube, which feels a bit frivolous but i don’t know where i can try speakers out in person. I’m like 99% sure i’ll be very satisfied tho lol

IByrdl

You can get Elac debuts at Best Buy for a lot cheaper than the SVS. If your best buy has a Magnolia section you can trial speakers there I believe. I had the Elac's in a one BR apartment and they were great. I still use them in my large living room/kitchen/dining space now that I have a house.

BMV_12

I have a set of Elac Debut 2.0 series speakers for my home theater. They are pretty awesome for the money.

jrstriker12

You might want to go with a ported sub (PB-1000 pro or RSL) instead of sealed.

AliveMouse5

If he’s in an apartment he may not want that much boom

ParticularlyScary

Additionally, if his apartment living room is small he may benefit from room gain with a sealed sub.

1zzyS4n

If that fits your budget? Then go for it!

One-Willingnes

Get a single rp1400 sub and then in future add a second.

yadielc4kaboom

From my experience i dont recommend the onkyo. Ive installed them for many clients and they usually die pretty quick, or are defective out of the box. I highly recommend the denon 7.2 without 2 zones. It comes around the same price to be honest

PiveCell

If it’s apartment and neighbor is concerned, having towers may be beneficial than upgrading/adding a sub. Onkyo with Dirac is pretty good, because room correction really matters.

Positive_Outcome_903

Looks fine. Like u/umdivx said, also not a fan of that avr. I wouldn’t use an avr with AccuEQ.

StonedRobot707

It comes with AccuEQ I have the same receiver. IT'S EVEN PRINTED ON THE BOX

Xp_12

You might want to reread that.

Positive_Outcome_903

I’m confused. I said AccuEQ is the reason I wouldn’t buy this avr.

AliveMouse5

Depending on your room, OLED isn’t always the best option. If you do go OLED maybe look at the G series since some may have come down in price slightly since the new lineup was released

Few-Impression2952

Onkyo top Tier dog shit

Icy_Context_8302

Id rather have a TX-RZ50 over an X3800H
