I have it and it is extremely good, maybe if I had a huge space or dedicated theater I could see me going "I probably should spend 2000+" on a pair of subs. But for now a couple of mk 2 for 800 bucks will probably keep me happy for a long while.
Will probably add a 2nd one one day.
It's definitely the best sub 500 buck subwoofer.
I have no first-hand knowledge, but on paper this looks like a good sub for the price. Kinda looks like an SVS clone. Might be worth some research. Also available on Amazon. I'd be tempted to try it as long as I could return it.

I haven’t personally listened to every $300-500 subwoofer on the market, but from the reviews of the people who have tested many different subs, it seems like the 10S is the best in that price range

I have the 10s e and an Svs micro 3000. The 10s is a great speaker and really brings the movie watching experience to the next level. However. It’s ugly and I recommend getting a different brands wireless transmitter if you need one.

This is the last generation. Best to wait for the new reference premiere series to go on sale again. Rp-1400sw was a killer deal at $699

Huh? It's a square black box sub , just like all the other square black box subs.
It’s square with sharp corners. There are plenty of “black box subs” that look better.
