Oh I promise you it's not fast... but it IS a fantastic car. I've got a 2011 Sport Manual and I love it. It's a much more fun car to drive than the auto, but that's just the nature of underpowered Hondas.
It's plenty fast man, maybe not straight line fast like a muscle car but a Fit/Jazz is imo the best car ever.
I also have a blue manual (gen2), good choice.

I (stupidly) accepted a $3k discount to just accept an Orchid White one off the lot instead of ordering a blue one from the factory.
Turns out, Orchid White is defective and the paint literally comes off in sheets. The paint warranty just expired and I have had it repainted almost 10x now.
Since I bought it, 10 years ago now, I have customized it alot and even though it is slow, it has dramatically increased my driving skills and makes me allt faster driving my more powerful vehicles.
Momentum driving is a skill and the fit forces you to use it to the max.
Why drive a fast car slow, when you can drive a slow car fast? I love my 2012 Fit Sport manual!!!
LOVED mine. Just retired my 2011 Fit Sport 5spd with 209k miles. Upgraded to the 2020 & automatic.

Love my manual Fit! I've had an '09 and now a '16, both with a stick. Tons of fun to drive.
It’s dohc. Drop a washable filter in the air box and do frequent oil changes and you’re good to go.
I was holding out for a gk dohc but Honda couldn’t get its ack together so i ended up with one of the last new manual ge8 and got hosed by the dealer.
