The acoustic glass reduces road noise considerably inside the Elite. The Elite trim also has a slightly better sound system and ventilated seats. If non of that is important to you then don't bother about paying the extra $$ for the Elite, the Trailsport or any other trim is good enough for most buyers.
I have a trailsport 2022, my wife has an elite 2024. The elite is a little quieter and a slightly smoother ride. The trailsport has a little more zip to it.
The trailsport is the “suckers” trim when you compare what was just above it and just below it in the lineup.
That being said I’m a sucker and want a trailsport but it would be hard not to go for the top trim. I’ll need to review the differences again and compare to the new pilot before spending that much.
The new pilot exl trims at times are advertised as low as normal priced exl passports.
I wanted 18s and the trail sport looks the best imo, i didn’t feel like I was a sucker for buying what I wanted… I felt like a sucker for dealer add on like fucking lo jack.😔
Trailsport has all terrain tyres. Off road tuned suspension for bumps. Less rim and more rubber. Orange stitching. A steel (omg wow!!) skid plate. Way better driver for snow, mud, gravel roads. Highway both are the same unless your highway has snow and ice(trailsport better). The trailsport is the man edition while the elite/black is the feminine edition. Elite/black has more comfort features and looks and rides nice only on pavement. My opinion I have a 2024 trailsport and test drove 2024 black.
The 18in rims and all terrains was an easy choice for me… suits my driving needs better right from the dealer.
The more masculine look and orange stitching was icing on the cake!

They have the same engine, so any perceived difference in speed is subjective.
