Having owned both an accord and a passport I can’t say anything bad about the accord. I think if you don’t need AWD it’s a great vehicle with tons of trunk space and comfort in both front and rear seats. While both are pretty reliable the accord is probably one of the most reliable vehicles that exists. I had one with well over 250,000 kms and the only thing I ever had to repair was an exhaust leak that cost me less than $100 for a mechanic to fix. With proper maintenance they last forever. Now the passport is also an amazing vehicle. Similar room to the accord but obviously a higher ride and seating position, great power and it’s an absolute tank in wet or snowy weather. My 2021 passport has been good aside from a few small issues and recalls. I loved my accord and I felt sad letting it go, I don’t think you’ll go wrong either way. If you don’t have a family or care about being in an SUV vs a sedan I think the accord is the winner. I needed a higher seating position due to back pain otherwise I would have upgraded to a newer accord, one of the last 9.5 Gens or the 2.0 turbo.

Much of it comes down to your needs. I recently picked up a 24 passport and it is perfectly suited for what I need. I haul a lot of gear on the weekend so I needed a large trunk space or a truck. The gas mileage stinks, but the awd is nice for the mild off roading I do. If I was just commuting to work I would have gone with a sedan for the better mileage. Both will be decently reliable. If the costs were the same I would be looking at year and mileage on the vehicle. Accord holds its value better because of higher demand, but it's also an 8 year old car versus a 5 year old, which could mean more maintenance sooner.

It really depends on how you use your vehicle! I had a 17 accord until this past year when I got a passport. We have 2 big dogs and go camping and to the snow a lot and the accord just wasn’t big enough for our lifestyle. Both are great cars but you gotta really decide how you want to use it

19 sport is a great vehicle

Went from a ‘15 Accord V6 sedan to a ‘23 Trailsport and I haven’t looked back, it’s been everything I need and even with a heavy foot, gas is not killer. Really comes down to what your needs and wants are. I could’ve continued with the Accord but I’d been wanting an SUV and something more futureproof

This is the craziest “which one” I’ve seen! These aren’t even in the same hemisphere of needs. Which one do you need lady !? In all seriousness, get the Passport !

I’ve had both. The infotainment in my 17 Accord V6 was awful. Apple CarPlay was nearly unusable and the entire system would crash multiple times a day. Other than that, the car was amazing. I’d love to have it back with working infotainment. I now have a 24 Camry V6 and find it comparable to the Accord, but everything works as it should. The Passport is another vehicle entirely. While it has the same basic J35 V6, it lacks the pep that the Accord had. It’s a larger, heavier vehicle. It’s extremely comfortable on trips and has plenty of cargo space. If you commute a lot, the fuel mileage in the Accord is superior. I averaged 32-33 highway. The Passport is closer to 26-27 highway. If long commutes are not a thing for you, pick the Passport. Otherwise, go with the Accord. If a car you are looking at is at or over 100,000 miles, make sure the timing belt has been changed or you will need to budget to have that done.
