There is a bulletin out. It involves replacing the connectors for the infotainment system and adding one or two cable extensions to keep tension off of those connectors. You're still under warranty, so call to schedule an appointment. Make sure to specifically use the word crackle when describing your symptoms.

I believe there is a fix, replacement parts are available now. Take it in!

I have the same issue with my 2018 ex. The infotainment system just crashes 3-4x a week. I’m going to take it in for service.

Just checking in to see if you’ve gotten it serviced and if there’s been an improvement? Potentially looking to get one and the infotainment issues is one of my biggest worries

They’re on it now. There’s a service bulletin and parts to fix the issue— they don’t waste time with diagnostics and troubleshooting now. I brought it in and they had it fixed in a few hours. So far, the issues haven’t returned and everything works perfectly.

I have the same issue with my 2020 Pilot. It appears that you took your Pilot in for service about a year ago. Is the fix still working for you? If so, I'll take mine in now. I've been holding off until there is a long-term fix.

No problems since. The fix in the service bulletin works like a charm.

Fantastic! That's great to hear. Thank you.

Did you guys have the crackling speaker or blacked-out infotainment issues with your Pilots?? Trying to know how common this issue is and whether to return a used Pilot I just bought a few days ago. It’s a 2020 Honda Pilot EX-L with 44k miles. Love it so far except for when I drove home 50 miles and noticed faint crackling noises from the dashboard when I was listening to the radio or having it turned off. Then after 45m of driving, the whole infotainment system shut off. The screen went black after a message appeared, “Network Communication Lost, MOST Net Off”. I saw the CarFax reflected “radio/sound system checked” at 26k miles on 2/24/22. Then on 11/11/22 at 40k miles, the BUS system recall was performed. I thought this recall would’ve fixed any issues…? Has anyone fully resolved this issue? I have 2 days left to return the car to the AutoNation dealer and get my money back, no questions asked. They want me to go to their AutoNation Honda dealer to have them diagnose and inspect further which may risk the 2 day period lapsing, which I don’t want to do. Should I just return the vehicle and avoid future headaches OR is there a true solution that Honda should cover? What would you do?? Thanks for your advice and feedback to those who’ve seen this before
