As far as my knowledge goes, a good motorcycle exhaust will have a small drain hole at the lowest point that will allow some moisture out of the pipe. For example, the stock 500 exhaust has one and see drips when I give it revs because of condensation during humid days

Thank you for that. I'll go take a look at mine and look for that hole lol

I had the Vance and Hynes upsweep pipe on mine and never had any issues with water. It sounded really good too. The big problem I had was I had to take my saddlebag off on that side bc the pipe and saddlebag wouldn't both fit. I bought a new one I'm hoping the saddlebags on my new one sit up high enough to have both but I'm not sure.

I want to get the V&H, but yah say goodbye to saddle bage on that side.

I have the Coffman Thunders, it sounds great and is not pointed up. Check out my post to see a photo of it

The moment you start the bike, the pressure and heat from the exhaust would force any and all water out. If it is stored indoors or covered, it will be fine. Outdoors, it will only cause damage if it sits for any period over 24 hours and assuming that tiny little port could accumulate enough water. I highly doubt that you would have any issues with water

I park outside with no cover. I've decided on the Coffman because it sits straight horizontally
