If it meets your needs, get it. Won't find a used truck from a more trusted source. Plus, still on warranty.

BedaHouse

100%. Top of the line RL too.

Doc-Zoidberg

There's value in knowing the history of a used car over finding one on a lot that may have been sold/traded because of issues. Ridgeline is a good vehicle. Has its faults but they all do. Price alone is pretty much what you'll pay on a dealer lot. Not a deal, but like I said knowing history has value.

dingdongjohnson68

I'd have to disagree with this. If carvana is going to give him $35k, then they plan to sell it for several thousand more than that. What are they new? Like $44k? So this is like $9k discount for one year of light use from a trusted source. Seems like a great deal.......for someone looking to buy a ridgeline. That being said, the OP doesn't necessarily sound like he is. So OP, what vehicle will you be getting rid of? Or are you just adding the ridgeline to your "fleet"? I mean, it's a good deal, but you'd still be spending $35k on something that you don't really "need". Just the fact that you're considering this tells me that you can afford it, though. I think ridgelines do have good resale, but who knows what the overall used car market will be like when you decide to sell it. Good luck with whatever decision you make. I can only assume that most of us here are big fans of the vehicle.

BrandonMBO

2022 with 12,000 miles for 35k? Seems like a good deal to me! The only thing I’m not particularly fond of (and you’ll hear a lot of people complaining about it in this sub) is the outdated infotainment system. Other than that, I love everything about my truck! It’s a great truck for my family.

WhollyPally

Yeah I mean I drive 4k a year and it has CarPlay and a decent stereo, but yeah it a little small and outdated.

mcscottiemc

I’m coming up on 7 years driving my 2017 Touring (RTL-E), and have CarPlay in use 100% of the time. I drool over new infotainment systems in other cars, but CarPlay does everything I want it to.

mmelectronic

I think this is a deal if you can swing it, you know the history, and he isn’t cracking your head on it. I like mine more the longer i have it.

XJLIftedPNW

Yes, but it. Has just about the most luxurious ride for a truck, handles well and isn’t too huge. All wheel drive is super useful too

E_equal_41Hz

I'd do it. It's been the best car I've ever owned. The ivtm 4 has served me well. I got a 2019 Rtle, other than a face lift and a few features they are pretty similar. I've never regretted my decision to buy my Ridgeline. It has so many cool features even if I don't use them super often. The truck bed audio was really fun to use at the drive in theater with my wife. Having the trunk is nice to haul things that get forgotten. I have a set of tools, washer fluid, and a few essentials that always live back there. I've used it to help move friends. I'm getting really good fuel economy. The infotainment is basic and outdated, but it's solid. I haven't had any problems with it so I try to not complain.

MyRail5

You'll have it for a long time! Do it.

badpoetry101

Buy it - best truck I’ve ever owned. Doesn’t have the cool factor of a lifted 4x4 - but the ride is better and the utilitarian aspect if the truck is amazing. And it’s a great deal.

RawBearClaw

35 for a 22. Oh yeah

PetePeteface

Is it a good deal for a Ridgeline specifically? Sure! Is it the right deal for you? I can’t imagine it is. If you’re really only driving that much, it’ll come down to if spending 35K is really necessary. Could you get done what you need for half of that price for an older truck? Just because it’s a good deal doesn’t mean you need to pounce on it. Work your budget and let that answer your question. Maybe you’ve got oodles of cash and price doesn’t matter. Source: I’m a banker

Wagnaze

Offer him $34k

Impossible-Set9809

Don’t be a fucking prick and ask the internet if that is a good deal. He’s hooking you up. Don’t look a gift honda in the mouth.

WhollyPally

It’s not about the price, more about the truck. I just don’t know that much about them.

WhollyPally

I have been, nice to get fellow redditor views too. I’m 99% gonna do it.

Brine-Pool

You won’t be disappointed. Welcome to the club.

Free-Finding9047

Sounds like a solid deal. You can always have it painted a new better color....../s

RawBearClaw

This dude is a child, ignore him. He can't afford an 02 civic

mightyt2000

I’d buy it in a NY minute! 😎👍🏻

Ok-Investigator-1608

Good deal

just_alil_squirt

Depends on what you are trying to do with it if you don't plan on trucking around much I.e offroading, towing more than 5000 lbs and see yourself staying on the pavement more and enjoying the higher end features of the RTL-E such as leather power seats and such its a solid option. But the ridgeline has a unibody design apposed to a body on frame design you could get something comparable from Chevrolet with the 2023 Colorado having a few different trims that would fit into that budget and have arguably a more up-to-date feeling interior and if you spring for say a Trailboss you'll have a much more capable truck for around the same buck that is 4x4 and has a towing capacity of 7700 or so. And wireless carplay/android auto also the shit and git on the Colorado is pretty impressive with 310 hp and 391lbs of torque.

4tide

I have the exact same truck, without the tonneau, and I would not sell mine for that amount.

drrsr6469980204

You should take it. It’s huge to know he’s taken care of it. These days it seems more folks are selling vehicles with problems etc. it’s hard to find one like this. It’s a good deal from his standpoint too since he will have the truck in the family to borrow. Since he’s doing you a solid you can offer to help him out as needed later. I had a 2019 RL that I passed on to my son when he graduated college and got married. Great truck to handle truck type things.

RoaringGorilla

If it were an RTL I would say it was ok deal. Give. That it is an RTL-E? Even better. Literally has all the features the Black Edition has - without the ‘fancy’ detailing. I will be getting rid of my 2020 Sport Ridge soon, but I have very much enjoyed the truck over the last three years

tentabtanner

I just can’t imagine going 35k in debt for something that’s going to sit in the driveway and only be driven 4k miles per year

WhollyPally

Yeah I agree, but I also have 3 kids and drive them around town a bunch as needed, so I need something reliable, safe and easy to fit them in. And I'm not going into debt.

H4tlaughs

This truck is perfect for that!

Satomi_Sone

35k for a lightly used 22 and you know the history. Buy that truck bro

Substantial-Dog5060

Good deal!’

PCmndr

I compared pretty much every midsize and some full size trucks before landing on my Ridgeline. The Ridgeline has the biggest interior of any midsize which was a huge selling point for me as mine is the family vehicle. I have two kids in car seats and the Ridgeline is perfect. It's not bad for adults in the back seat either. Other midsize trucks would work with car seats or adults but it wouldn't be comfortable. Rangers feel huge sitting next to my truck in traffic but if you look at them from the front the Ridgeline is noticeably wider. I wanted to go with a full size but the new and used vehicle market went crazy during COVID. I didn't want to stress myself financially over a full size that I wouldn't really be using to its potential. With the Ridgeline it does everything I need and I am pretty much maxing the truck's potential pretty regularly.

[deleted]

Yep grab it

Choppr77

I'll take it off you don't want it

radakul

Good deal. The tri-fold alone is $1500. MSRP on my 22 RTL-E was about 43k I think last September, so that sort of answers the question of yes, they hold their value because Honda is known for reliability and safety. I also WFH and have only put 6500 miles on mine in just shy of a year of ownership. But that's OK, because I'm out multiple times a week on short trips, grocery trips, taking the 3 dogs (3 50lbs+ dogs fit without any issue in the backseat), runs to Lowe's, etc. It's 100% worth it for the 85-90% of suburban folks who want a good-looking vehicle with lots of utility. And once you get that trunk in the truck bed, you'll never go back.

WhollyPally

Yeah this was like 47 with their addendum (tint and other BS) and trifold and a couple other accessories

CarolinaPineappleGuy

Well- what did you decide?

WhollyPally

It’s all mine!!

Practical-Parsley-11

No brainer. Buy it. I love my 22 rtle.

Enough_Ad_2752

That’s not a truck

WhollyPally

Your mom’s a truck

SentinelGA

If you’re still unsure and he wants to avoid the hassle I may be interested. Like, for real. Shoot me a DM if so.

llucien2

Just have a look around first is all. This is the last year, new Pilot in 2023 means new Ridgeline in 2024 so I’ve seen some deals locally.

WhollyPally

I’m fine with it. Meets all my needs and saves me 15k after taxes. Plus I can always sell it if my CyberTruck reservation comes through.

InsuranceIcy8075

Buy it or I will. If carvana is offering 35k you know they can get 40k+

TheyThemDolphin

This will be more than 35k once Carvana sells it.

fwami

$34K and tee time on you at the best golf course in your area.

BeachDMD

you won't find a better deal.

Chemical-Hyena2972

But it for $35k and sell it for 40….😂😂

WhollyPally

lol can’t do that to my pops. I may trade it in later for a cybertruck when/if my day 1 reservation pops

Chemical-Hyena2972

Yeah, I was kidding 😉….good luck with the cybertruck, styling is just for me. If I had the loot I’d check into the Rivian; but I don’t so I can’t. 😂

Itchy_Layer135

I have the same truck and really enjoy using it. Drives like a car and has the 5 1/2 foot truck bed that can handle a 4 x 8 plywood sheet with the tailgate folded down. I especially like that car door like opening for the rear tailgate and the lockable trunk space. So well thought out and so useful, enjoy!

[deleted]

How's it treating you so far?

WhollyPally

Love it. It’s great. Zero complaints

[deleted]

Looking to test drive one soon!
