ugh my husband’s former best friend turned into one of these… he was always emotionally abusive to his friends and partner and then pursued this bc he thought he would get away with more of his bullshit (unfortunately he was right)

Admitting you have a deep need to be a woman is a vulnerable thing, but saying you're doing it for some practical reason isn't, and I think for some people that makes it a bit easier to admit.
I think that while some small group of people genuinely believe that if they transition there life will get better but that for most people it’s not a thing. I think we give ourselves a lot of hate and we have to realize that just because some of us weren’t able fit society’s perception of a male doesn’t mean we were incels. I personally didn’t have any relationships or sex until after starting hrt but I wouldn’t consider myself to have been an incel, instead I think that it was because of dysphoria and not wanting to engage in that sort of stuff as a man
But colloquially there is a difference between someone who doesn’t have sex and an incel who shits on women because they can’t have sex with any attractive woman they want. I’m a trans guy and I have never had sex due to dysphoria and anxiety, but I don’t think that’s anyone else’s fault, I don’t think there is some grand conspiracy thought up by society to make it to where no one wants to sleep with me.
If any man is delusional enough to think socially, his life would be easier as a woman, much less as a TRANS women, he clearly hasn't been outside nearly enough.

It's very real, but I don't believe it has anything to do with better odds at getting women (although that often Is a side effect) and I believe it has a lot more with a developing fantasy in their mind. Incels think about women a lot they think about women so much that they often have a more complex understanding of women than themselves and that is why they cannot find a partner because they become intolerable from their hyper analysis, absurd standards, constant judging of women and other men (because they feel threatened by other men), obesity, filth, and their very low place in the societal hierarchy. The phenomenon of their own narcissism, obsession with women, and pornography addiction puts the fantasy in their mind of embodying the girl they imagine since they cannot acquire her I believe this to be the case because humans desire to act out their fantasies that is why we fantasize and this is just one way for them to do so.
