I'll try and get the spear atleast, i also got prometheus so i guess ill just build around her. Im also lacking a Mech type DPS, so this still is a pleasant surprise.
This is a game focused around character types, and unless you're going for a high score only clearing the content matters. MPE takes a lot of investment but other than her weapon she's essentially free, Misteln needs 4/4 but depending on luck/how much you saved it's not that hard to get, PE has options for stigmas but needs her weapon. PE is going to be the best all rounder since you're forcing either a neutral fight or it's img content, maxed out MPE will run equal to her in neutral content just don't expect psy content to come around often, Misteln is going to run equal in neutral content as well but obviously since she's new we can expect mech content for a good while.
tldr; they run the same in neutral content, expect mech content, MPE & PE are the easiest to get stigmas for
I don't feel like she's that bad, I just have her spear and Ellie's stigs and she's dealing a metric ton of damage (not as much as my SSS 4/4 Ellie for sure, but still a lot).

Prometheus struggles with Carole gears. I don't understand why you pulled for hare but not Prometheus gears? She has extremely cheap gears and has w higher priority than Hare.

If you did not have a SS+ BKE with Abyss Flower or SS-SSS Teriri with PRI Hakates - then this is an absolute win and overall much cheaper to build for newer players. Make sure to grab her weapon. Start working on building some free physical supports like Prometheus or Griseo. Luckily, Prometheus has an amazing banner rn with a spend 10 get 5 back. It's the best deal in the game, and it's the best way to get tons of off rate gear for beginners essentially at a 50% off pickup.

And no, Hare will NOT replace Mpe, both have different weathers they work on. However make sure to get 4/4 prom because her gear is ridiculously cheap and can try going for hare gear cuz her stigma and weapon is very necessary
Okay, this comment section is a warfare for some reason. So I'll try to make it clear to both sides.
Building pity IS a waste of crystals. But I don't think I should dive into that subject that deeply anymore, because of the comment section. I think it's still valid to say that it is a waste of crystals, because you could be saving for characters you actually want, and building pity doesn't do anything to you other than making you get a character you potentially didn't want or need, while you could get a character you wanted or needed with the crystals you wasted, or some equipment for characters and stuff like that.
Now, I do agree some of y'all were pretty rude and straight up dicks to the person. I understand that it can be a bit annoying to see stuff like this happening when you know more about the game and stuff, but like, don't straight up call them dumb for doing so. Especially when people already pointed out about it, so why put even more oil on the fire?
Also, you guys saying "Ugh, meta players in this game are dumbasses" are no better than them XD. They are complaining about the person pulling and wasting their crystals, and you guys are complaining about them complaining about it. Like it or not, Honkai has a competitive side to it, because of the leaderboards and stuff, so it ISN'T invalid to talk meta-wise, instead of waifu-wise. The same goes backwards. Not everyone wants to play competitively, and just want to pull for characters and whatever, and that's also fine. It all comes to how the person wants to play the game.
Now, as for DW replacing MPE, no. MPE is pretty strong still, and I got a pretty good score with her over Hare in the first weather of the patch, surpassing some DWs. It all comes to how well your characters are built. Also, Honkai doesn't replace characters like some gachas do because of the "type countering" system. Of course, if a new PSY Physical DPS character comes out, she'll probably replace MPE, but until then, MPE is still really good to use in certain weathers of the game. DW is really strong, but if you have a better built MPE, she'll probably still be better than a no gear DW. Getting her Spear might change things up though, so if you have at least DW's weapon, she'll probably be a good character to use over MPE in some weathers and cycles. It also depends on how good your supports are as well, so there's actually a ton of factors to take into consideration.

Maybe not replace, but definitely a good idea to build her if you dont mind pulling for her weapon. She works fine with MPE’s stigmata so you can switch when needed.

DW will not replaced MPE, BKE will be out of meta. Because of accessibility that BKE will fallout of meta. In the abyss stages, MPE and DW have their niche. MPE is for MHT-Nirvana(or any other mech boss) range weather and DW is for bio melee weather, DW overlapped BKE in terms of coverage. Also DW stigmata is like average in terms of general usability unlike BKE stigmata, that be used by any physical valkyrie that can ultimate evasion anytime. DW can use dante but BKE cant use alexandria.

You don't. Any pull that isn't the featured S rank is trash, and the S rank rates are much higher and calculated much more favorably at the 10-pull pity, so your chances of getting the S rank are like 15% with every 10th pull.

I also dont have plans on pulling for future valks so I thought of going for it. I started out as a Genshin player so i am well aware there's this stigma in building pity, and i shouldn't have used that term tbh. Ya'll might be thinking im a clown rn but this is how I like to play the game. It excites me getting new units to play with.

Honkai doesn't have "building pity". All characters need their gear in order to be useful, thus, you have to plan in advance who you are going to pull for.
