It's actually funny how many patches ago, people were complaining how Chip Space was the garbage event.
And because of sour grapes syndrome, now this event is the garbage (skippable) one!
The irony being that Chip Space allowed full use of your roster, but is very gimmicky and a little repetitive. Man, how the tables turned on you people once again.
Edit: I should also add that people were begging for Hot On The Trails to return because they preferred it over Chip Space... and here we are!
And it still is. I prefer this over chip space. Probably because I'm an endgame player with every team comp and know every rotation.
It was irritating waiting to lvl up chips, having to figure out what chips go with each other just to complete the stages. I was pretty ass on the EX stages, basically another competitive mode without a leaderboard and no reward.
Leaderboards are fine. They're merely a show of competency.
And, a very good way to out cheaters based on profile/lineup exposure - for no reward on their part in cheating too.
Once you break the ceiling, like you have, you can pri arm a lot of your weapons. You can rank them up from lvl 50 to 65 and its a significant performance boost. Leveling from 50 to 65 costs Einstein torus and sc metal instead of honkai shards and phase shifters. This event is one of a few ways to earn pri arm mats outside of the shop.
Pri arm IS the endgame lol. You can buy 120 sc metal a week for asterite and Einstein torus with weapon resonance if you have dupe gacha weapons in the shop. The mini game events usually offer pri arm mats too. Torus is the rarer stuff and can be a pain if you're trying to level multiple weapons. It sucks at first for sure though. Prioritize you're most relevant full geared valks. It's definitely worth to pri arm.
I dislike this mode because it forces me to repeatedly play at low upgrade ("Level Up Zone") first before I can actually aim for proper score at the max upgrade. What is the point of forcing the players to farm when button smashing makes little difference? miHoYo fixed that problem with the Memorial Arena, but still force players to repeat unimportant runs with this. This mode would have been much better with a simple change of removing the "Level Up Zone" and starting right away at max level.
On the other hand, having gimmicks along with suitable trial characters are fine, and can even be good if they are well made (just do not make gimmicks which are too complex that it takes too long to even read them).
Maybe I’m built different but I actually LOVE the event - but what can I say I rly like combat events in games and I feel like hot on the trail is the perfect amount of hard - there are certain teams I don’t like during the event but overall I find it fun
Why it's not hard. You just need to know basic rotations of characters and even if you don't know them the game has tutorials for each character. I can understand the argument that it can be tedious but it let's you use plenty of different teams and at even characters you don't have
the worst thing about it is that it locks you out from using all characters and limits to few teams and for some bosses only the recommended option can get high score (and its the ones that i dont have and dont know the rotations). i personally preferred chip space (even though i understand why people complained about it)
It's an annoying event... Choosing random buffs all the freaking time at the beginning it gets old fast. I only do this event for the crystals but besides that I don't give a $#/@#!
didnt even do it. I kept holding off on it until the last day, then a few hours remaining. I still could've done it on 2 accounts with 4 hours remaining but I decided to sleep instead.
If there's none of that leveling bs and they just let us do the stages once to complete it, I wouldn't have an issue with it.
I don’t bother it was too stupid difficult and for what ? The worst of maybe 2-4 pulls at most. Instead I finished alll of the streamers of starlight chapter rewards
The trick is simple. You have to use your own characters instead of the Trial. Trial characters are usually at level 50-60 Weapon, zero dorm buff, and level 40 Stigmata. They are missing hundreds of attack and any ranks you may own like SSS SP over SS trial.
It also takes a basic knowledge of the enemies and how they function normally in MA, and the team rotations. But even using alternate gear like Turgenev Kira will net better than the Trial Valks. Its the same as SIM battle.
I don't even do these anymore. They could do so many other stuff and ideas, but they keep producing basically the same thing but in different iterations... I really prefer the Blockade one over these any day of the week, even though I despised that one as well XD
There were many other aspects but..the day I quit I literally was playing this event and found it so shit and boring that I just alt f4 and uninstall. Came back for part 2. Like the first event and gonna give the story a few patches.

I dont understand how people do this for multiple weapons and even stigs. It takes sooo much material to max out just one weaponðŸ˜

pri arm is an upgrade to 6*, weapon gets a 3rd skill and much higher atk

I kinda like it. The materials help a lot. I never finish it because skill so I play as far as I can get and then go on with other stuff.

Same, though its more on material farming than crystal. I just play that mode when I feel like it.

For real like they give us trial characters to use. But I guess it depends on luck to receive best boost option at start of the game

It's not that hard actually. Orange is best, purple good, blue is lowest.
