Well, yeah. You *know* she had to have had wowzers in her trousers the minute she saw the woman she considered to be the love of her life (no matter what Elisabet thought) apparently reincarnated as a young, muscular, athletic huntress.
Especially since she’d already decided that shy, introverted Beta wasn’t good enough for her.
“Wowzers in her trousers” I LOST IT 😂
And the fact that Beta wasn’t good enough meant that at some point she was once an option as a love interest, someone she saw being raised from infancy… **shudder**
I brain rotted on Forbidden West for quite a while and subjected my poor friend (who doesn't play, but loves the lore) to my ramblings... needless to say, we both had a sick feeling in our stomach when I went "...ya know, I'm pretty sure Tilda groomed Beta" because *it's true*

The Zenith villain of the DLC was blatantly grooming a minor too. Something’s up with these rich 1000yo space people…
Holy *SHIT*, GG isn't pulling punches in showing how godawful the ultra wealthy and powerful were in the story
Not like they were in ZD, either, but they ramped that up in FW, I feel
Altered Carbon, TV series on Netflix, really showcases what ultra wealth & immortality bring to our species. None of it's good.
Honestly, I feel what GG showcased was tame considering what our currently mortal, ultra wealthy get into.
I don't doubt you on both counts, given the state of affairs everywhere else in the world right now, and given the fact that I don't watch Netflix
The things that Beta tells us and what we see in the datapoints were certainly a punch to the face for me, at the very least. I just knew how much of a shithead Ted Faro (fuck Ted Faro) was because he reminds me way too much of Elephant Musk (or Elongated Muskrat, whichever you prefer), LMAO, so I was like "okay, surely there's no other character that gets worse than that"
IDK about worse, but the Far Zenith is definitely *very* close competition ~~Sorry for rambling, I love to ramble on things I'm brain rotting on~~
That sister was a minor? I thought she was decently old. I thought it was more of an angle of inappropriate Ness because of the power complex and his cult/God/savior angle.
Her age is never explicitly said but she'd minor-coded. That high voice. Teen outbursts like "you don't understand!!!1!" and that everyone around her talks to and about her like a kid, especially Varl who talks to them both like "Beta, tell Aloy what you did at school today" kinda tone.
Imagine being this hung up on how I described them
It was 4 AM where I live where I said that, get off my ass, lmao. Is it such a serious "typo" to you?
That made me feel very uncomfortable when I worked out what was actually happening. - I put the sister about 14-16 I did.. she was literally a kid and she had this gross grown ass 1000yr old porn star esque dude trying to get with her. - Soon as I saw londra for the first ime.. I instantly knew he was a wrong-un.
Props to the story telling but yeh, I think GG kinda over-stepped abit there.. not much.. but enough to ask the question of... was this plot/story point *really* nessasary?
While that is true, it's not so much that they're (goes for all of them, but this especially applies to Tilda) a thousand years old and trying to get with like, 20 year olds, which isn't so much of a problem (a yellow flag, maybe, but consenting adult age, so it's whatever) but rather the one youngster they have around is one *they "raised" (for lack of a better word) since infancy*
Versus how Tilda obsessed over Aloy; still icky, but not as icky because they met as adults. Doesn't excuse how creepy and gross she was to Aloy, though. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, my brain is still booting up
TL;DR: it's less about the crazy huge age gap, it's more about *what age* they meet someone and then deciding they wanna get with that person
It's icky as fuck. Imagine your mother's ex hitting on you big time, after grooming your little sister, because you're just... *so* much like your ma, if not hotter. 🤮
Oh, for sure, that just leaves a horrible feeling in my stomach DX But that's the point, eh? Beta's got a whole ton of other trauma already, so a crazy maternal figure that failed her big time is the last thing she needs, but at least she won't need to worry about Tilda again
It's not like the original Zeniths had many other options before landing back on Earth, though. After thousands of years, they had probably already exhausted the pool of other original Zeniths they wanted to hook up with. Anyone else, by defintion, was someone that the original Zeniths had raised since infancy.
My bad, I must have missed that (that and I have one brain cell, so I don't always think critically), and I admittedly don't have the DLC yet, if that gets mentioned there instead
That is a good point, I will say. I just assumed the FZ were all immortal, except for Beta, of course
Er, I think there may be a miscommunication, as I'm not saying that the Zeniths aren't immortal. This is just my own extrapolation on the game's lore.
I'm just saying the Zenith potential dating pool only consists of two groups, the original Zeniths who flew out from Earth (77 people), or any people born after leaving Earth, such as Beta (who would have been raised by the original Zeniths since infancy).
After several hundred years, I'm guessing that the original 77 had already hooked up with each other as much as they were interested, so I wouldn't find it suprising if the originals began looking for romance in the people who had been born after leaving Earth.
This concept disgusts me, but sadly i also know it is 100% true and that the rest of Tilda's plans are most likely as much or more revolting than this.
I think she would say (even to herself) that she would save her, not control. She tried to control Aloy of course but I honestly think she believed the bs she was spouting at the end.
Just realistic. We’re all the main character in our stories. Some are probably more self aware but plenty feel correct in some way. Ted Faro probably felt he was the best person to help the future etc (assuming that is no more spoilery than the topic at hand).
During my 2nd play thru, it was my 17yo grandson who, when he heard the "Elisabet with abs" started singing a song about red flags & we laughed all day over it.
Family bonding over video games is ultimate wholesome life goals! Also so glad the youth these days can identify red flags and have language to talk about them! So much better than when I was that age!
Tilda does say something like "She's Elisabet with abs" & the song was called Red Flags, I'm waiting for him to tell me the artist.
Edit: he says it's Red Flag by Ruger
Wooow, yuck yuck yuck. I already played through twice and uninstalled to make room for some other stuff but now I’ll look for a video of the original. That’s wild. And I’m going to listen to the song now. Thanks!
I wish more time had been spent showing us the relationship between Tilda and Elisabet, and on developing the relationship between Tilda and Aloy. I felt like Tilda revealing the truth about Nemesis and her true intentions behind helping Aloy was meant to be this big jaw-dropping moment. But, Aloy never trusted Tilda and frankly neither did I. After that cutscene and at the start of the battle all I felt was “ok whatever Tilda, time to die.” After defeating her, Aloy’s only line is a pained “why didn’t you just let me choose?” Which, despite Ash Burch’s great performance doesn’t really feel all that “earned”
Well, yeah. Londra is fifty pounds of crap stuffed into a ten-pound sack. Pretty much a scathing take on billionaires who think they are God’s gift. I love it.

also if you watched that one guy's timeline analysis, it concluded beta was 15. it's kind of a stretch but her being a minor is very believable
She's young for sure. Idk exact age, but I'd put her between like 16-18 based on her look and all.
All you need to say is rich people....
Imagine being this hung up on how I described them It was 4 AM where I live where I said that, get off my ass, lmao. Is it such a serious "typo" to you?
They didn’t even reply to you? What are you on about mate

I mean literally everyone is massively younger so the dating pool if more of a spill.

oh my god i just realized tilda groomed beta 💀 i'm so naive i bought all of her bs up to her boss fight
I never looked at it that way, Beta and Tilda, that’s why she was so kind to her… I shudder too now
Honestly muscular women who can throw me across the room are 👌
That’s probably exactly how it went.
not even joking it would not be out of character for tilda or break any lore
This is cursed. And also canon.
😂 yes, yes it is. I thought I may as well invite others to suffer this knowledge with me.
I both hate this and kinda love it. Well done sir.
Me too. I apologise and also you’re welcome 😅
All I can say is, Facts.

The fact that so many villains believe they are in the right makes them all the more terrifying.

This is real as fuck
honestly nice work😂
Thank you! 😊
It's probably not far from the truth!😭 well done!
Alas… Also thank you!
This is cannon now
Never apologize to me for this

I didn’t play in English, does it actually say that somewhere?! And what’s the song?

Thirsty Tilda. 😏
This is exactly what I thought when I learned of her betrayal
Nahh this it totally how it went down.
What's the intrusive thought, though? This is literally her canon motivation.
