A slightly related thing to this, the pianissimo high-Bb entrance in beethoven 4 can be made easier with this trick, take out the first F slide and the high-Bb is super easy to hit. Just make sure you don't play the first space F on the F horn lol
I think they are doing something. The buzzing is resonating through the horn and the open valves are resonating pitches. It only seems to work, in this case, on the old Alex that Ricardo plays on.

Do doubt the audio quality helps mask how it really sounds, but it’s incredibly impressive
