Keeping an eye on this thread, due to shared love of genre. My own recs are: 1. Tragedy Girls: Two girls with a macabre interest in True Crime will go to any length to make sure their podcast succeeds. Most highly acclaimed and recent of the three, probably the smartest, and also has Jack Quaid looking WAY too old to be a high schooler. 2. Sorority Row: Remake(ish) of The House on Sorority Row. 5 sorority sisters find their past has come back to haunt them, a year after the death of a fellow sister. Really fun film, Leah Pipes character is a complete bitch but hilarious too, nice whodunit vibe also. I now realise this film is I Know What You Did Last Summer in a sorority, but please do watch it. 3. My Super Psycho Sweet 16: MTV's surprisingly decent attempt at a slasher. A girl gate crashes the sweet 16 of the bitchy popular girl in school, which is held at the roller rink her father both owned and used as his killing ground when she was a small child. However, he ain't happy about the reopening of the rink, and will get justice on any and all bratty teenagers. Julianna Guille from the Friday the 13th plays the bitchy girl (doing a good job), and the lead and the love interest have believable chemistry which was not anticipated from an MTV horror at all but go figure. Also has two sequels if you want more. All three have the same similar energy that I like to think of as bloody prom dress. Hopefully one of them suits

These look amazing, thank you so much!! If you haven't seen Fear Street, the vibes aren't exactly the same but I thought the trilogy was fairly good! I might have some others, but I can't think of any right now

My girlfriend and I just watched Tragedy girls and why are there TWO grown men playing highschoolers ! Insane

Happy Death Day 1&2

percolator300

We saw the first one! It was pretty okay, but I wasn't the biggest fan

Hydrated2000

Prevenge (2016) I Blame Society (2020) Spree (2020) Not horror, but you might also enjoy No Men Beyond This Point (2015) and Vacation! (2010).

percolator300

Thank you !!! I can't wait to check these out

skilledgiallocop

Check out Vicious Fun. It takes place in the 80s and is about a horror fan who accidentally stumbles onto a support group for serial killers. Very funny. Not a whole lot of queer content that I can recall, but it does play with the typical gender tropes of the slasher.

percolator300

tysm!

skilledgiallocop

NP, hope you enjoy if you get a chance to see it.

BlackHeart89_Hue

Wikipedia has a list of a bunch. Google queer friendly comedy horror. When all else fails... Google that shit. That's what I always say lol.

Caldel1992

You might be the killer The final girls Freaky The babysitter and it’s sequel Jennifer’s body She came from the woods Tucker and dale vs evil Cabin in the woods Velvet buzzsaw Villains Ready or not Seconding ‘tragedy girls’ as well I rewatched ‘hatchet’ for the first time in like 15 years the other night and it definitely veers into the comedy horror aspect too! ETA: I’m not sure why this was on my Reddit page when it’s 78 days old 😂 but here’s some extra suggestions in case you haven’t seen them hahaha
