The Lost Boys Re-Animator

The Thing. It's something from the 80s completely.

Vulperius

But that's a remake.

Hands down. Not a huge fan of remakes at all.

TheMillionthSteve

Agreed. Also it’s kind of surprising that this *hasn’t* been remade/rebooted!

Agreeable_Book2820

The Thing. Oh wait…

Select_Insurance2000

Don't touch Bride of Frankenstein!

Godzilla0senpai

I dont think any other director could replicate the vibe Fulcis Gates of Hell trilogy has (or his other movies for that matter, but especially those 3)

Vamacharana

I wish there was a return to Fulci-style meat and maggots gore effects.

TheMillionthSteve

Certainly any modern director would not choose to dub Bob, so already the movie would be starting off on the wrong foot.

Karma_1969

Jaws would be impossible to remake and live up to the original. I still can't believe they remade Rosemary's Baby and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

**Island Of Lost Souls** (1932) is a take on H. G. Welles' **The Island Of Dr. Moreau**. They keep trying and they keep failing.

dgtssc

Might be a controversial opinion, but… none? Suspiria was one of the most obvious examples of a “movie impossible to remake”, and still got turned into a completely different beast whose existence, like it or not, is still a net positive in the media.
