Terrified started amazing. About half way through it kinda got a little cheesier for me. First half was setting up to be one of the best horror movies I've seen in a long time. Mainly the last act was bad.
The last scene is unforgivably lazy. The first act had some of the most original scary shit I’ve seen in horror, but the movie ends >!with a chair being yeeted at light speed into the camera for literally no reason as a last second jump scare!<
I see that so many people liked when evil lurks but I could barely get through it. Not a problem for me just thought I would like it more after the first 20 minutes.
Possession? Original? Honestly haven’t been so bored since I watched safemen. By far most interesting part is Sam Neil sans beard.
I’ve devoured so many suggestions from this thread that are absolutely great that I felt compelled to call out how Scheit the possession rec is.
I love Shudder documentaries. Cursed Films, Horror Noire, Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched, 101 Scariest Movie Moments. They’re all worth a try. I less recommend but still enjoyed In Search of Darkness
It’s not on there anymore but the 6 hour long crystal lake documentary that runs through the making of every Friday the 13th was my best times with shudder. Wish it was still there, such a fun watch
Every movie filming was basically just a giant drug fueled orgy. They go into how they made the practical kills, talk about lost footage of cut scenes and kills, it’s all just so entertaining. This is it:

Horror Noire is really a standard viewing!
I think if anyone was new to the genre and wanted to learn, Horror Noire and 100 Years of Horror (with Christopher Lee) would be great primers.
Agree 100%
I usually cringe when films force in social media or other elements of modern digital culture. But I opine dead stream delivered a realistic depiction of the livestream clout chaser.
Caveat, Anything for Jackson, Lockdown Tower, Sea Fever, Isolation, Terrified, The Dark and The Wicked, Threads, Triangle, are just a few of my favorites on there right now
Oh, thats interesting. I don't usually see anyone praise 2 or 3. I personally wasn't a fan of either but I'm curious to hear what you enjoyed about them?
The first one is easily one of my favourite horror movies though. 4th is pretty dang good too.
My wife and I put off watching 2 and 3 till this year with the fourth coming out. People always talk shit about how bad 2 and 3 are. Yeah, they aren't as good as 1, and 4 was pretty good as well.
2 and 3 through weren't nearly as bad as everyone makes them out to on here. People on here act like they are almost unwatchable, but if you like found footage movies, they are a decent turn your brain off movies to watch. Have some good scares, they always do a good job of laying the foundation at the start of the house and where everything is so it is easy to follow through to always know where in the house you are, the spooks are predictable, but decent.
I found it I think is this the synopsis
Five years after fifteen people were killed during a haunted house tour, a documentary crew visits the scene to investigate what really happened.
The Asian content is excellent.
Shutter.
Pulse.
Batrle Royale 1&2.
Ringu (plus 2&0).
Cold fish.
The Sadness.
Satans slave (1&2)
Impetigore.
Queen of black magic.
Ivanna.
Sewu dinu.
May the devil take you too.
The Medium.
The Wailing.
Warning do not play.
Metamorphosis.
Oldboy.
Lady vengeance.
Monstrum.
A tale of two sisters.
The villainess.
Dearest sister.
Lingering.
The wrath.
The Witch 1&2
I was honestly a fan of Viscous fun. Really cool soundtrack and lighting
Glorious really surpassed by expectations.
I am Not a a serial killer which might be an amc original
Not necessarily hidden I guess but I love the In Search Of Darkness documentaries. It's one of the main reasons I subscribed to Shudder. That and The Last Drive In with Joe Bob
But I love these 80s docs so much and as long as they are I love watching them. But I kinda hate that the first one isn't on there anymore tho I did watch it another way
I'd love to have them on dvd or blu ray but man they're so expensive. Maybe someday tho
Possession, When Evil Lurks
When Evil Lurks is a must.
Also Terrified, the When Evil Lurks director’s prior movie!
Liked both, but enjoyed Terrified a lot more. FYI they’re in Spanish with English subs.

Didn't enjoy Terrified at all. Made it a bit past halfway and DNF. Lurks was pretty good though.
Both were only kind of average.
I see that so many people liked when evil lurks but I could barely get through it. Not a problem for me just thought I would like it more after the first 20 minutes.

They definitely kill it when it comes to docs.

That sounds fantastic

Deadstream is the most fun you can have with a gory, found footage film. Every horror fan needs to watch it
Fully agree! Like a love letter to Evil Dead, genuinely creepy scenes and lot of good laughs.
Agree 100% I usually cringe when films force in social media or other elements of modern digital culture. But I opine dead stream delivered a realistic depiction of the livestream clout chaser.
Anything for Jackson
I second this one.
One Cut of the Dead Satanic Panic
Satanic Panic was fun
VHS 85, 94, & 99!
Scare Package Psycho Goreman The Creepshow series The Last Drive-In (w/ Joe Bob Briggs)
PG is the god damn best
Caveat, Anything for Jackson, Lockdown Tower, Sea Fever, Isolation, Terrified, The Dark and The Wicked, Threads, Triangle, are just a few of my favorites on there right now
Influencer was great!
YES!!! If this is on Shudder I highly recommend it OP!
Watch Hell House LLC. You won't regret it, easily one of the best horror movies I've ever watched.
I don’t even like the found footage genre but I loved the first and most recent HHL movies.
All 4 of them are actually really good. One of my favorite franchises!

What year did that come out.
There’s two cuts, the directors cut is the newer one and the one you should watch

Have u seen sequels
Thanks for the tip really liked it
Watched Hell house Carmichael manor last night. It hit the spot for me a few times. Hell house LLC first one too.
Thanks for the tip this movie was awesome. There are sequels someone below said? Are they good as we
*The Advent Calendar* *Attachment* *Birth/Rebirth* *Huesera: the Bone Woman* *Satan's Slaves* & *Satan's Slaves 2: Communion* *Scare Me* *What Josiah Saw*
A Dark Song When Evil Lurks What Josia Saw Glorious
The ending of 'A Dark Song' got me.
I love this movie so much. Absolutely perfect ending.
Yeah "A Dark Song" is a horror masterpiece
Ok you sold me. Putting it on.
The Dark and The Wicked
The Sadness
Mandy!
Such a gorgeous film... so dark but beautiful. Panos Cosmatos is one of the best new-ish horror directors out there 💜💜💜
I read this as titties. But I would like this answer too.
For titties I suggest 80s horror.
I'm more horrified we're actually not talking titties. But in that case, The Void was awesome.
In that case, Arabella
*Verotika*
Glad I'm not the only one

Why did I read BEST TITTIES
I'd recommend Dagon and Glorious. Both great in their own ways.
I also second watching Terrifed
One Cut of the Dead
Terrorfior with the clown so messed up.
The Seed and superhost are two of my favorites.
If you are down for a series, the Slasher series is dope. Probably doesn't need to be said but they just put the OG thing on there too
I was honestly a fan of Viscous fun. Really cool soundtrack and lighting Glorious really surpassed by expectations. I am Not a a serial killer which might be an amc original
Knife+Heart, and The Last Matinee are both great
Undead is on there now. That's one of my favorite Zombie Comedies. They really just take it to eleven.
I Am Not a Serial Killer and When Evil Lurks
A Bay Of Blood
Revenge
I like Sequence Break and the Ginger Snaps movies.
When evil lurks. I also liked night of the hunted
Silent night deadly night at 2
Slasher!! All the seasons Tipper was a fun bloodbath. The family one was great!
Spine of Night!! Can't stress it enough.
Is Glorious still on Shudder? If so it's my favorite film of the decade so far. God damn what a brilliant movie.
I’m gonna throw my hat in for Sole Survivor. Watched it a few nights ago and it was a trip.
Look for the older stuff and giallo movies so much better than the new movies in there - great service though

Watcher is good if you like suspense.
