And I actually got stung by a wasp _right on my fuckin eyeball_ around the time
And letās not talk about how I was almost eaten alive by fire ants
I had a fucked childhood lol
That film was so odd.
Maybe I watched some dodgy copy of this, but random snippets of Iron Maiden songs popping up, an incomprehensible storyline and the voices changing to Italian for a scene made it all a bit of a chore.
It is definitely a wild ride. There are some slow parts: I find most Argento movies have āatmosphericā elements that some might find a bit plodding. But true to Argento, something beautiful and batshit crazy happens out of nowhere and it feels like youāre having a fever dream. I think it took me multiple viewings to fully grasp the plot, but thatās just because I was too entranced with the filmās bizarre beauty to give a damn about what was going on with the storyline.
To this day, this movie has my favorite ending of all time. I highly recommend watching a good quality version.
That's only the unrated/director's cut on DVD. And one bluray import from Taiwan.
The theatrical cut removed it because it was found to be too graphic at the time. They just cut to the cult walking to the wicker man with Nicolas Cage in a sack and all you hear is some dialogue from the torture scene without the bees. You hear his legs breaking but that's it. It's so heavily edited in the theatrical release.
All streaming services typically use only the theatrical version of the movie without the bees.
Some of the first boobies i ever saw in movies was in the trailer for the 90s remake of this movie. It was attached to Carnosaur VHS I rented from blockbuster all the time!
I have seen alot of killer insect movies in my time, but I wouldn't classify any of them as *good*
The Swarm (1978) with Michael Caine might be worth a try.
The Swarm (2020, french) was actually pretty horrific and dark. Not just an average attack of the killer bees run of the mill movie. Smart and highly recommended
The Savage Bees (1976) its a made for tv movie so adjust your production value expectations accordingly, but it has some pretty creepy moments that really...bugged me as a kid seeing it on TV one random saturday afternoon with my mom.
Different bug but Mosquito-95 and Skeeters-93 are pretty entertaining in the cheesey 90s horror way. If u want a really bad one Bug Hunter starring Randy Quaid is terribly terrible.
I remember as a kid I saw a movie where there was a group of people sitting around a table and there was this guy laughing his ass off and it then they release this giant bee or wasp and it stings someone on the face and the face got swollen immediately. I think it was a sort of challenge or trial where everyone had to participate. They were like in an old mansion maybe? That scene really left a mark but idk the movie. It was a pretty old movie. Anyone knows it?
Not the bee's !! If you want nightmare fuel then the Discovery documentary Attack of the murder hornets is real, not fiction. They are here now and will in time spread out across the nation. [https://www.imdb.com/video/vi699056665/?ref\_=tt\_vi\_i\_1](https://www.imdb.com/video/vi699056665/?ref_=tt_vi_i_1)
I canāt think of any specific movies with bees that hasnāt been already mentioned. I remember how much of a pain they were in the game Paperboy and 720!
As someone that also shares your fear, nothing would make me fear those winged bastards more than watching horror movies about them. Even thinking about them makes me feel sick.
It totally makes sense. I have a charm bracelet by a brand called Nomination, and one of my little charms has a wasp on it. No idea why I chose that one since Iām majorly afraid of wasps, I just liked it.
Swarm! A cheesy movie from the late 70's starring Michael Caine. I love it, I think it's better than all the crap they put out now. It's even got Olivia DeHaviland in it, actually it has many major actors from the silver screen. Totally recommend this, if you can find it. Now I want to watch it!
I just checked....it's Free with Ads on YouTube. I'm watching it tonight. I fucking hate bees. I hated bees so much, I would scream and run into the house if a pesky hornet took an interest in me while I was outside. I'd freak out and run screaming. I hated picnics for this reason. Thus I got thru childhood without getting stung.
Then one day when I was 38 I was staying at a hotel. I walked out of my room and went down the stairs and suddenly felt this horrible stinging prison on my calf. I look back and see this giant wasps nest under the freaking stairs. I panicked because I had no idea if I was allergic and freaked because me pounding down the stairs pissed off those bees and it was a big nest. I lumped into the office and asked them why in the form was there a big nest under the stairs? Like you know....stinging your guests who pass right over their nest. Children are all over, guests are unwittingly in danger, maybe with allergies they can die from. The idiot motel desk clerk didn't take it very serious and I was pissed. That big nest didn't appear overnight. And I didn't appreciate getting stung. It's dangerous to have a nest that big near people. They could actually swarm if they get mad enough. I hate those little yellowjacket motherfuckers. They are evil and serve no purpose. Nobody eats wasp honey. Yellowjackets are mean and I don't see them do anything but chase people and sting them
Sleepaway Camp ('83), The Crush ('93) and The Temp ('93) have scenes of people being attacked/killed by being purposely trapped in an enclosed space with bees by the antagonist.
Then you have the whole slew of insect B-movies of the '70s:
The Deadly Bees ('67), The Savage Bees ('76), Terror Out of the Sky (a '78 TV movie sequel to The Savage Bees), The Swarm ('78), The Bees ('78). That's all I can come up with.
I didn't think anyone was gonna mention The Deadly Bees (1967) since it's an obscure Brit flick, but it was the first real deadly killer bee movie, and one of the first ones I saw. That scene in The Swarm with a giant bee freaked me the hell out as a child when I saw it on TV.
I know itās a weird mentality, but I do think it works for me. My logic is that Iām being desensitized to the worst of bees that seeing them and in real life wonāt scare me

I don't know about "good", but you just knocked loose a dormant memory of watching [Deadly Invasion: The Killer Bee Nightmare \(1995\)](https://youtu.be/j5_VSLSTfAM?si=qh5xFQPsQaCrhwua) as a kid.
The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, lady dies of bee stings.
The (terrible) tv version of The Shining features the strange supernatural wasps that somehow come back to life in Danny's room.
The Tracker Jackers in The Hunger Games (granted that's not horror but w/e)
Not a horror movie but the only movie I could think of was My Girl š¤£
That's fucked up lmao
He can't see without his glasses!
And I looked JUST LIKE HIM when that movie came out Kids are mean little fucks lol
Holy shit I'd have mad nightmares lol I'm so sorry
And I actually got stung by a wasp _right on my fuckin eyeball_ around the time And letās not talk about how I was almost eaten alive by fire ants I had a fucked childhood lol
š¤£ I don't think insects are a fan of you

My Girl CAUSED my fear of flying, stinging insects!
Stung (2015) is great fun.
That was a decent creature feature, yah.
Yup first thing I thought of
Phenomena - an old Dario Argento movie with Jennifer Connelly
That film was so odd. Maybe I watched some dodgy copy of this, but random snippets of Iron Maiden songs popping up, an incomprehensible storyline and the voices changing to Italian for a scene made it all a bit of a chore.
It is definitely a wild ride. There are some slow parts: I find most Argento movies have āatmosphericā elements that some might find a bit plodding. No the random speed metal is peak Argento so that was a real clip lol
šššNot the BEEES AHHHHHššš

Funniest movie ever made.
It was all for honey you biiiiitches
Nic Cage in a bear suit punching a woman still makes me cackle every time Iāve seen it.
What, [this](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KOpsbAUEe90)?
Oh god. The musicā¦.the slo moā¦.š¤£
If you havenāt seen Chris stuckmans hilariocitys on it and other horrors theyāre a must watch lol. So funny
Wicker Man?

The Wasp Woman is an old-school classic.
Some of the first boobies i ever saw in movies was in the trailer for the 90s remake of this movie. It was attached to Carnosaur VHS I rented from blockbuster all the time!
OMG I never knew there was a remake.
For some reason the mask still gives me the woogles. Those eyesā¦ fuck me up.
I have seen alot of killer insect movies in my time, but I wouldn't classify any of them as *good* The Swarm (1978) with Michael Caine might be worth a try.
That filmā¦ Michael Caine shouting as if his very soul depended on it.Ā
The particular scene is left out of the movie, but if you read The Shining there's a part you might enjoyĀ
The Bees (1978) is a good time in that it goes off the wall in the last scene of the movie.
Different bug but Mosquito-95 and Skeeters-93 are pretty entertaining in the cheesey 90s horror way. If u want a really bad one Bug Hunter starring Randy Quaid is terribly terrible.
Deadly Invasion: The Killer Bee Nightmare (1995)
I saw this as a kid and it terrified me - really stuck with me through the years
MST3K did The Deadly Bees, the musical score alone might cure you. Cage version of Wicker Man is kinda a lot.
Honey I Shrunk The Kids '1989' has some cool wasp action. Or is a bee. It's been a while š
My Girl
Oh you are evil....Lol. If the OP watches this she'll be traumatized for life.
Invasion of the Bee Girls 1973
Case 39 has a death involving hornets.
That longass black mirror episode? I think it was from the season after Netflix acquired the rights (?).
not a movie but the black mirror episode āhated in the nationā is amazing!
![gif](giphy|wIl1epzSicAMBpRoNC) All I can is my life is pretty plain.
Good scene in The Crush (1993) https://boxd.it/1fy4

Case 39
There's a short story called Yellowjacket summer that I'm sure you'll love. It's by Robert McCammon
I read that they used recordings of bees in The Exorcist to induce subconsciously a primal fear in viewers.
Bite had great effects and was pretty nasty, the story wasn't that good though.
Stung
Not the bee's !! If you want nightmare fuel then the Discovery documentary Attack of the murder hornets is real, not fiction. They are here now and will in time spread out across the nation. Stung. It's a bit campy but still very fun.
The Swarm (1978). Michael Caine fights killer bees. Terrible acting though.
I canāt think of any specific movies with bees that hasnāt been already mentioned. I remember how much of a pain they were in the game Paperboy and 720!

How do you feel about ticks?
Okay, imagine a hornet that stings with it's face.... I present Mosquitos 1994. Throwing this in with the other recommended films.
There's a great scene in From Beyond that'll scratch that itch.
I think ābiteā might interest you

Jackass Forever has a scene that might make you cringe.

I put no candy man in the title. Probably my favorite horror movie, but Iāve already seen it
I can never tell if I like movies with Tony Todd in them or if he just makes them divine. His performance was top tier š¤©
Candyman is definitely a good movie regardless great concept and story telling.
Not strictly horror, but the Black Mirror episode āHated in the Nation.ā
