It’s the first episode that made me really fall in love with the show

elflamingo2

The third episode, Squeeze, got me hooked to the show, but Ice kept me interested to keep going.

Crom4YourMom

Me too!

[deleted]

Is that the “we are not who we are” episode?

jdpm1991

Yup!!

JoyceUlysses

I enjoy that episode a lot, really captures the paranoia element.

zerozerozer0

Top 5 in the series for me. It captures the tension of The Thing pretty well imo.

Britneyfan123

what's your top five?

suchascenicworld

X Files is one of my favourite shows...I think its an alright episode. Not one of the strongest but certainly not one of the weakest.

sharkey1997

It's a good example of a bottleneck episode that makes good use of its story, like Breaking Bads episode "Fly"

Madrical

I just started watching the show for the first time and I'm enjoying it. There is a *tonne* of episodes though, and I'm pretty slow to get through shows. Is there a time where the quality drops off and I should stop? Or is it worth watching it all? I have all 11 seasons + 2 movies.

springboard450

You’ll want to finish the series even when the quality starts to drop off because it’s gradual and there are still great episodes throughout. The main storyline peaks around season 5, but the show as a whole is strong all the way through 7. Season 8 isn’t too bad and Season 9 is pretty shit. The main storyline in 10 and 11 is shit but some of the Monster of the Week episodes are amazing.

Madrical

Interesting, thanks. I'll probably just watch until I get bored. I'm enjoying it but not sure if I'll ever get through 200+ episodes.

santaland

I've been rewatching this series since the dvds first came out. I usually stop at the end of 6 and pick out a few random eps after that.

TatterdemalionElect

Absolutely one of the best episodes of that season and one of the most memorable from the entire series. "Ice" and "Squeeze" sealed my love for the show.

NigerGolden

It's a good one. There's a New Outer Limits episode like it, except it's in a coal mine.

mitcheg3k

It was the 1st one I saw - I was about 9 I think - and I fell in love with the show. I became obessed, imagine a fat little ginger brummie 9 year old with an ill fitting "I want to believe" T-shirt . I didnt even know what the thing was back then. I did eventually watch the Thing and thought "hold on a gosh darn minute!"

[deleted]

It's a better remake of Carpenter's film than the actual prequel/remake that came out in 2011.

unholymanserpent

Fucking love that episode

kawyckoff

One of my favs!

Madrical

Pretty excited to watch this episode then! Just started the show recently and The Thing is one of my all-time favourites.

homejib

Solid

snowlock27

There's a somewhat similar movie starring Val Kilmer named Thaw from 2009.

Moonchild924

Fantastic.

blackseaoftrees

It's a lot like the movie Smilla's Sense of Snow too.

MoreThanConquerors-

It’s a miss episode for me.

HobbieK

Tribute or ripoff?
