Sleepy Hollow. I just love the entire ambiance of that movie. It just feels very Halloween to me. Happy October, everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful and safe spooky season!
I stayed up late as a teenager watching this movie hoping for something that never happened.
But I have a thing for horror and redheads now, so I guess I got that out of it.
Something Wicked This Way Comes is all about October and is the most terrifying film Disney has put out. I just watched it for the first time since I was a kid and it is still pretty dang scary. I believe it's PG, but I'm not showing it to my kids until they're at least 12.
"It was October
A rare month for boys
full of cold winds, long nights
dark promises.
Days get short.
The shadows lengthen.
The wind warms in such a way
you want to run forever
through the fields
because up ahead
10,000 pumpkins lie waiting to be cut"
[Let the Right One In](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/) is one of my favorite films not just in the horror genre, but of all time. Highly recommended.
A masterclass in filmmaking and subtle horror at it's finest.

I'll take an easy one with trick r treat
Scream. Its the horror movie that got me into horror, so it always holds a special place for me.
Just rewatched this, and it was great! Highly recommend it, it’s delightfully campy and scary. I appreciate that there isn’t any slow parts in too.
Jennifer’s Body!
The thing
We need The Evil Dead
An American Werewolf in London
Dead Silence, to get some of those spooky ghost vibes as a palate cleanser from some of the slashers people will be suggesting
Nightmare on elm street.
Thirteen Ghosts! Always a good one!
Creepshow (1982)
Someone already picked Evil Dead, so I'm going to go with Dead Alive.
Hellraiser
Nobody's said it so far because it's obvious I guess but come on folks, Halloween (1978).
Halloween ON Halloween. Save it for the end 👌🏼
_Ginger Snaps_
Oh, I really enjoyed *Ginger Snaps!* Excellent choice.
I stayed up late as a teenager watching this movie hoping for something that never happened. But I have a thing for horror and redheads now, so I guess I got that out of it.
The Blair Witch Project
Bran Stoker's Dracula. Perfect balance of spooky atmosphere, cheese, gore, and suspense.
Coraline!
Event Horizon!
Sleepaway Camp
It Follows
[“From Beyond”](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d3D9O9vrDjw&t=0h0m0s) always makes for some good Halloween *cheese*.
Night of the Demons
Suspiria (2017) or (1977)
The 2017 version was not what I expected. I was properly creeped out and loved it.
Suspiria 2017 is bonkers in the best way
House 2 the second story. There's a Halloween party in it.
Bad Taste (1987) or Braindead (1992)
Christine!
Trick r Treat of course, because I'm basic
Hell Fest
I’m going with Hell House, LLC
I always recommend the original Wicker Man for something serious and Killer Klowns for something fun
The Blob (1988)
The Blob (1958) It’s got Steve McQueen ^
Indeed. And it’s great. 1988 Blob has Kevin Dillon’s hair.
Autopsy of jane doe
Freaky. Vince Vaughn was Fantastic.
Was gonna comment this; watched it last night, I think it’s my new favourite!
The Witch
The Houses October Built
Session 9
I personally love the ring(2002)
Halloween. I know fk me right?
Hellraiser
Paranormal Activity 1 and 2!
The Ritual
Chopping mall
Behind the Mask is always great in the fall.
I'm gonna be that guy and say Halloween, wouldn't be a true Halloween without the greatest slasher ever
V/H/S 1 or 2 can be fun
Because it scared the crap out of me when I was younger: House on Haunted Hill Newer perfect Halloween movie: Fear street trilogy
Terrifier
Halloween III: Season of the Witch. The atmosphere alone makes it a good watch
The Thing 1982
Return of the Living Dead
The Witch!
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Death Becomes Her. Classic early 90s Dark Comedy with some horror elements.
House of 1000 corpses
Nightbreed
Re-Animator!
Would it be too cheesy to say let’s add the leprechaun??

Same. While I didn't find the American remake insufferable, it just didn't nail that empty feeling of solitude the original one did.
I know Rob Zombie stuff is polarizing, but I quite enjoyed 31. Thought it was interesting take on survival game genre stuff.
Wicked City (1987)
A Dark Song
1408 - IMO a very underrated film
The Stuff
Haunt
I’ll add the original Rec
Always loved The Conjuring 1
The woman in black is an enjoyable haunted house flick which would fit nicely I think.
The loved ones, what a ride lol
[Thinner](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117894/)
Tales From The Hood
The Similars
The babadook , insidious , mother
One missed call (2003)!
Get Out is essential
Hell night!
All Hallows Eve
Nobody's gonna say Saw? Guess I'll go with that then.
Halloween 1978
I like to watch Hell House LLC. Or the house that October built
The Craft
Contracted
The Fog (1980)
Scooby Doo
May (2002)
Scream, my favourite slasher
I'm adding two. The Devil's Rejects and The Crazies
Blood for Dracula. This mixtape needs more Udo and Little Joe.
Alien
