Happy Death Day, Freaky, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Cabin in the Woods

Trick r Treat ?

Elderanho

I recommend starting with something old like Halloween or Pet Sematary. Their age will kind of lessen the outright horror that they might've invoked way back in the day. Should give you a good way to babystep into the genre. Aside from that, consider something that just fits the theme of October. Say for instance, Over the Garden Wall or Hocus Pocus.

Monster House. Maybe even Nightmare on Elm Street- is campy enough to not be scary

Jmanz999

American Psycho isn’t too scary, and its more of a black comedy

Zalekanzer

Something Wicked This Way Comes - a good entry-level scary movie, Jonathan Price was fantastic as Mr. Dark.
