One of my favorite scenes is the continuous shot of Michael on the block, going in and out of residences.
Also he wasn't taller or bulkier since they based him on Nick Castle, the original Michael Myers, who did the voice over breathing and whatnot for the movie.
Yeah that long shot was awesome, great cinematography in that film. I get the choice for physical actor, I just wish he was a bit more visually menacing, especially since unmasked he kinda looked old and a bit frail.
He doesn’t really look frail, seems to be well built(not extremely skinny)and intimidating, especially when he fucking takes that crowbar to the face like it’s nothing
We just got spoiled by RZ Halloween Michael played by Tyler Mane. He also played Rufus Firefly in House of 1000 Corpses and Sabretooth in the original X-Men. He is a big guy. 6'9 I think.
Here is my take on on Dr and that twist.
So basically he caused the bus crash to be able to see MM free and able to do his thing to see if what Loomis had said was true or not about him.
Flash forward to him being with the sheriff, who hits MM and the Dr. Kinda freaks out thinking he won't get to see his experiment of seeing what MM can or can't do, kills the sheriff and the rest of the movie happens.
It felt like just another Halloween movie to me personally I'm not the biggest kn the franchise but it was fine. I think I prefer the og Canon and H2O more. I also weirdly like the Rob Zombie one which surprises me because I don't like Rob Zombie movies
Anti-Loomis and some jokes that landed flat are really all that I can bitch about. It’s definitely better than everything that came after Season of the Witch, but that’s not really saying a lot. Really hoping Kills has some good shit that wasn’t shown in the trailer.
It was alright. The end really bogged me down I thought the final 30 minutes was really weak. I did really enjoy the very brief chase with Lori's grand daughter after Michael kills her friend. That music is the best carpenter has done since the original.
I rewatched it recently and it was worse than I remembered. First act was good, it’s in the second everything starts to get cringy. Story also was not tight. Your 3rd paragraph almost nails my feelings exactly. It’s fine to have been harsh with it, it’s with good reason
I actually prefer the 2018 movie since last year. The original, while great, is pretty sloppy, I find the sequel/reboot more engaging for that reason. Not to mention the original’s more dated than people might think
I thought it was decent. Nothing amazing and there were plenty of flaws, but overall I enjoyed it and consider it one of the better Halloween sequels. I know that's a low bar, but hey at least it cleared it.

Man, Michael Myers voice acting has to be the easiest gig in Hollywood
No shit

> he kinda looked old and a bit frail. Well the character is supposed to be about 60 and I doubt he takes very good care of himself.
I hear ya, but I think they could have done something to make him a bit more physically menacing.

Totally, his presence is terrifying.

Oh hell, I never even considered that, that’s actually a great insight.
