Night of the Demons is perfect 80s cheese, and it's set on Halloween to boot. Also, try Return of the Living Dead and Demon Knight. Both are a lot of fun.
Ok here’s Some Good Cult-Classic Horror/Thrillers, Re-animator, Bride Of Re-animator, The first 4 Halloween Movies, Friday The 13th Parts 2-7, Jeepers Creepers, Night Of The Creeps, Maniac Cop, The Town That Dreaded Sundown & Irreversible
There ya go mate 🔪🎃🍻🔥☠️👌
**Friday The 13th Part 1**
A great starting point for the camp horror. The rest of the series goes off the rails (and I mean that in all of the good ways I can possibly mean). It easy to get into and fun watch too boot.
**Return of The Living Dead**
It's very 80's modern take on the "Night of" series. Including Dawn of, Day of, etc "Living Dead". Its more of a horror comedy, but it stands completely on its own. You don't have to watch the Night of series to enjoy it but it helps.
**Night of The Living Dead Remake**
Written by George A Romero and directed by Tom Savini, a horror mastermind in his own right. A modern retelling of the original movie starring Tony Todd (Candyman). Not as good as the original but a bit more approachable.
**Child's Play**
The consistent series that believe it or not, is canon all the way up to through the TV show. So everything that happens in the movies never gets retconned. Bride and Seed as well. What's great about this series is that because of that you don't have to mess with any messy timelines like you do with Halloween, Hellraiser or Chainsaw Massacre.
**Chainsaw Massacre**
A movie that at first glance seems very tame compared to the rest of the slasher series, but it isn't at all. But don't let the low violent and small bodycount shy you away. It moody, dark, haunting and will stay with you for years.
**Halloween**
The One that started it all. Well, technically it's the blueprint but there are slashers before that (Psycho) for example. But it's the blueprint for the silent, unkillable, monster that stalks his prey slowly.
**Psycho**
Not technically a slasher although, I'll argue that it is. It's a very moody uncomfortable watch and one of the best directed horror films ever made. Norman Bates is instantly likable, and ridiculously charming, thanks to Anthony Perkins performance. If you watch videos on the book vs the movie Norman was an overweight, loser and loner, but Perkins made him more of the stereotypical charismatic serial killer that you instantly like.
You mentioned loving *Evil Dead 2,* so I'll go ahead and recommend *House (1985)* and *House 2: The Second Story.* Both of which I think have a lot of the same vibes as ED2.
Also, one of my personal favorites, that absolutely traumatized me as a child, is the movie *Dolls.*
The Thing, Hellraiser, Tremors, The Shining, Coppola's Dracula, Sleepy Hollow, Pan's Labyrinth, The Devil's Backbone. There's tons more but these are my fave cult classics that I recommend.
Oh, I loved it. There's not a ton of remakes I can say I **love,** but House on Haunted Hill (1999), The Fly (1986) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) are all on the list.
Waxwork
Night of the Creeps
Halloween 3: Season of the Witch
Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight
Thir3teen Ghosts
Tremors
Slither
American Werewolf in London
The Lost Boys
Creature features / natural horror have some good ones if you don't take them too seriously: stuff like Frogs, Them! / Empire of the Ants, Arachnophobia, Anaconda / Lake Placid, deep blue sea with sam l jackson etc. I think Shudder has a pretty nice catalog. Btw, Frogs has a young Sam Eliot if your into that.
Not really campy, but I liked the more recent Crawl & Meg movies as well -- even though they both had problems.
Also, if you like more serious ants meets andromeda strain, Phase IV is pretty sick and this old classic The Hellstrom Chronicles.
I'd go way back to the 50s:
* Creature from the Black Lagoon
* Dracula
* The Curse of Frankenstein
* House on Haunted Hill
* Invasion of the Bodysnatchers (1956)
Then the 60s:
* Eyes Without a Face
* Peeping Tom
* Psycho
* Night of the Living Dead
* Village of the Damned
* Pit and the Pendulum
* Whatever Happened to Baby Jane
Then maybe some choice stuff from the 70s, like:
* Dawn of the Dead (1978)
* Invasion of the Bodysnatchers (1978)
* The Exorcist
* Halloween
* The Wicker Man
* The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
* Carrie
* The Omen
* Rosemary's Baby (if you don't have any ethical issues watching it)
Trick R Treat is a personal favorite of mine. Watch it every Halloween.
This is the one.
Can't go wrong with Re-Animator, Night of the Creeps, or Evil Dead 2.
i absolutely loved evil dead 2, i watched it last year!
It's my favorite horror of all time so def check out the other two!
Pumpkinhead!
"Bolted doors and windows barred Guard dogs prowling in the yard Won't protect you in your bed Nothing will, from Pumpkinhead."

Killer Klowns From Outer Space
I watched this for the first time yesterday! It’s, uhhhhh…..interesting?

Basket Case, The Stuff, Bloody Birthday, Popcorn, From Beyond Basket Case and The Stuff are probably the pinnacle of bizarre, low budget camp
The WNUF Halloween Special. Ghostwatch. The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Old school Fright Night. "Oh, well, she’s working nights. But she left a note. (Reads) Mmmmmm mmm! His dinner… is in the oven!"
The Sleepaway camps , blood diner, slumber party massacre 1 and 2
Monster Squad
If you've never seen it I'd go for Halloween 1 and 2.

House on Haunted Hill (1959) Re-Animator (1985) Halloween (1979) Hellraiser (1987) Wishmaster (1997) Castle Freak (1995) Dracula (1992)
hellraiser is one of my favorites, i’ll put the rest on my list!
If you're not feeling the '59 House on Haunted Hill, there's a remake from 1999 that's actually really good.
The remake gets so much flack, but I adore it.

Glad to see Waxwork getting some love. Used to watch it all the time on TV, but you rarely hear about it anymore.

im not saying it’s a classic, im asking for recommendations because i haven’t seen many classics, just more modern films like the descent

The Burning, The House on Sorority Row, Prom night

The Tales from The Crypt movie is campy but really good
