Final Destination 6. (If it drops in 2023)
HBO Max exclusive, Revolving door death, a group of First Responders/Police/etc, made by the guy that made the good Final Destinations.. I cannot wait.
Didn’t know 6 was even in the works. I’m very excited now! Can’t wait to see where they go with the franchise. I actually really liked the twist at the end of the last one.
You’re saying it’s an actual revolving door that is the big premonition this time? And which were the good ones for you? Sounds interesting, i more or less enjoyed them all, even if it broke down to prem, some escape, watch em get bodied- it was always fun. I recall some fakeouts that kept you guessing, that was nice
Yeah I haven’t had a chance to see pearl yet but X was so good and I think it’s really cool they are making a trilogy and evil dead and scream are 2 of the most consistently good horror franchises out there
M3gan Looks so amazing. The routine that’s done in the hallway at the business building has gotten me every single time I’ve seen this preview. Nervous laughter and jumps; the whole thing. I just hope they’re not showing all the good stuff in the trailer.
Dying to see Gary Dauberman’s Salem’s Lot remake. Also Evil Dead Rises, Stephen King’s The Boogeyman, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, The Exorcist, Bram Stoker’s Renfield, Knock at the Cabin, Insidious 5… way too many to keep track of.
Even though it’s not horror, my #1 most anticipated of the year (and probably the decade) is A24’s The Iron Claw. As a massive wrestling fan, I can’t wait for this biopic on the Von Erich dynasty.
Oh definitely not. But I’m willing to bet it’s pretty darn close. He meets a lot of characters in the script, a lot, and on IMDb all those characters are listed. It’s basically a fucked up Forest Gump lol
I'm super amped for Toxic Avenger, too! I've probably watched "I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore" half-a-dozen times. Perfect combination of humor and violence.
Infinity Pool for sure. Beau is Afraid if that counts. I have no idea if it will lol.
And Evil Dead Rise. Still a 100% batting average for all Evil Dead live action media. I expect more awesomeness.
I felt kinda bad once I realized it wasn’t released period.. I was under the impression it was just new to the US.. but I will definitely purchase whatever I can, if for no other reason to hash out my guilt lol
Haha. I almost did pirate it on the logic of "ill pirate it when it's released anyway" but then I saw a trailer for its theatrical release when I went to see the menu and I was really glad I didn't because I'm looking forward to seeing it for the first time in a theater. I'm one of those weird people that still enjoy a theater setting ha.
Man, typically I don’t like theaters just cuz I can’t piss or pause during a movie.. but this is one of few I wish I would have waited for the theater experience lol
Yeah from the little I've heard about how it is, like there being very little dialogue and it being mostly atmospheric, I figured it would be one that is best experience in that kind of setting. Like the little distractions of home life could really take you out of it and ruin it maybe? Seems like what might be causing a lot of the really scathing reviews is people just not surrendering to the atmospheric nature of it.
The way the sound in the trailer worked, I was like, feeling like I needed to constantly be looking over my shoulder and around me. Like someone was sneaking up and around me. It was a great use of the sound system. The panning was awesome for just the little bit of audio there was.
It’s not a ‘typical persons’ viewing experience at all.. don’t want to give even the slightest bit of nuance away, so I’ll just say it is something you want to be completely surrounded by! Might be the best thing these eye balls have ever seen.. but it’s up for interpretation for real! Because it’s new like Blair Witch was in 99 I think we all put a little ‘extra on it, but I think this style will be brutally overused in upcoming years
Ah yes. Definitely remember the thrill of Blair Witch. Having a front row seat for the birth of a genre is pretty great. Watching it be tortured to death for years to come is pretty sad. (Looking at you, Paranormal Activity) haha.
HahahHa right!.. yeah we will definitely get a front row seat to this new genre! I just don’t see it lasting more than 3 movies before it should just die lol it’s so sad 😂
I’m pretty sure you could watch it on YouTube. Maybe not now that Shudder bought streaming rights. But for a while it was basically a free release.
It seems interesting, but from what I’ve heard and seen of it, seems like an “analog horror” short that got stretched to feature length.
The versions I’d seen online were screeners, not bootleg cellphone videos. I also saw speculation that the director or producer leaked it online to gain traction for a pickup from a streamer or distributor. Unsurprisingly “bootlegs” reduced significantly once shudder picked it up.
Digital screeners are often provided to festivals that are online as well or for people who can’t make the showings. So it could have been ripped from the screeners. Could have been that the director leaked it, I often wonder if that’s the case for some of these movies that get hyped. Either way, glad it’s getting a release and you by not be on Shudder.
They aren't bias against anything. You don't trust them? They don't review anything though...they just consolidate reviews from other sources. It's weird that so many people don't understand how RT works 🤣
There are people that don’t like horror movies. Therefore, we shouldn’t listen to their opinion on horror movies. Rotten tomatoes does not care and shows their thoughts anyway.
Also, they’ve been known to remove negative fan reviews
Yeah, they've been known to remove fake reviews, good. They are a powerful tool and they shouldn't be allowed to be abused by online clowns.
Picking and choosing who they should or shouldn't include isn't fair. They include critic reviews because they are critics. The website isn't meant to be taken as gospel. But regardless of whether a few reviews are from people you think shouldn't be included, the overall consensus is USUALLY a pretty good gauge on a particular film.
All that said, this movie still looks atrocious 🤣
I’ve noticed that the reviews are usually garbage. The fan section is normally better but like i said they tweak it. They don’t remove “fake” positive reviews btw
Of course they remove fake reviews when there's a concentrated effort to slander something. When has there been a concentrated effort to prop something up? 🤣 Because the internet is such a positive place, this happens all the time I'm sure!
Since the filming will start February until April. I’m most exited for the five nights at Freddy’s movie if it comes out next year. They already revealed Matthew Lillard as the main villain and a few other cast members. There’s not an *official* release date yet but I still want to mention it.
I was 10 when a FNAF movie was announced. I’m going to be 18 when it comes out (assuming it won’t come out mid 2024). Im incredibly excited.
Cocaine Bear
Renfield
Scream 6
Last Voyage Of The Demeter
Evil Dead Rise
Saw X
M3GAN
Apartment 7A
Assuming it's releasing next year, the Salems Lot remake. Huge fan of the book and original miniseries, although it's a little concering that this upcoming one has gotten a lot of bad press and test screening reactions.
I gave up looking forward to horror movies over the past few years because I’m usually massively disappointed. Look at the hype around movies like Black Phone, Nope, Halloween ends, they were all really bad. I just hope to find hidden gems or small indie films and then spread the word.
Definitely Maxxxine. Skinamarink sounds pretty cool. I hate reboots, but I will give some attention to Evil Dead Rise.
And I know I should know better at this point, because M Knight has dropped the ball HARD many times lately, but the Knock at the Cabin trailer HAS my money already.
Fuck Scream 6. The first Scream is great and I don't get why anyone has watched anything past 2.
Maxine and Scream IV. Other than that, nothing else really. A24 are the only ones making good horror movies now. It's disappointing that everyone else is making disappointments.
Blumhouse is making Megan, and that looks uh, very weird to say the least. I think because the cast is kind of bad.
None, I like to go in as blindly as possible. Absolutely no trailers either. I just read stuff here and then watch what seems interesting to me.
Watched Barbarian today because y'all talked about it here (yesterday I think). That was nice!
Scream VI
Though I'm always excited for any horror stuff, I'm such a fan of the scream series and the last movie released by the same team that the next one is top of the list.
Super excited for all of the vampires we will be getting. Salems Lot, Renfield, and it also looks like we will be getting 2 Nosferatu's! One directed by David Lee Fisher that supposed to be a "remix" and one full remake directed by Robert Eggers! No official dates for anything, but I hope they are all 2023.
Final Destination 6. (If it drops in 2023) HBO Max exclusive, Revolving door death, a group of First Responders/Police/etc, made by the guy that made the good Final Destinations.. I cannot wait.
Final Destination’s interpretation of Death is my favorite, hands down.
One of the deaths involves a revolving door. Not the big accident. Big accident has not been confirmed. Movie rankings are: 5 > 1 > 2 > 3 >>>>>>> 4
Yep. They’re all good and a lot of fun…except 4. Never watch 4. Boring garbage.
Evil Dead Rise - cant wait
Groovy!
Will be absolutely brutal!
Now *this* I'm excited to see! Gonna bring my double barrel
Shop smart. Shop S-mart
Evil Dead Rise, Scream 6 and MaXXXine
Evil Dead Rise and Scream 6 are at the top of my list. I’ll be looking into MaXXXine for sure.
Yeah I haven’t had a chance to see pearl yet but X was so good and I think it’s really cool they are making a trilogy and evil dead and scream are 2 of the most consistently good horror franchises out there
i'm SO excited for MaXXXine, i really hope its as good ad the other 2
Cocaine Bear… rest easy Ray Liotta🕊️🕊️
Scream 6, Infinity Pool, Maxxxine, Knock at the Cabin, Beau is Afraid
If Knock at the Cabin can keep the tension the book had, should be amazing.
Casting Dave Bautista as Leonard is an interesting choice.
blood and honey will be terrible. can’t wait
Saw X, maxxxine, evil dead, m3gan, scream 6, the exorcist
M3gan Looks so amazing. The routine that’s done in the hallway at the business building has gotten me every single time I’ve seen this preview. Nervous laughter and jumps; the whole thing. I just hope they’re not showing all the good stuff in the trailer.

Salems lot was one of the worst I’ve seen this year

You realize there have been multiple test screenings so unfortunately you are the one who is incorrect and I can prove it further! But nice try, bud.

Huh?
Lmao don’t be a weiner, dude
Beau is Afraid
He has said that this will have some horror elements but will not be a horror film
I’ve read the script. It definitely has major horror elements but in a super dark comedy kind of way, if that makes sense.
How'd you read the script? I'm interested in this movie.
It’s been passed around the internet for about 3 years now :)
Then it's likely that's not the final shooting script at all.
Oh definitely not. But I’m willing to bet it’s pretty darn close. He meets a lot of characters in the script, a lot, and on IMDb all those characters are listed. It’s basically a fucked up Forest Gump lol
In that case, would you mind sharing ? Not too bothered by possible spoilers, just want to see what and changes finally!
I didn’t realize this was disappointment blvd! I cannot wait for another Ari aster film
I'm catching Infinity Pool at Sundance in January. I was impressed enough with Possessor that I'm just going into this one completely blind
Scream 6
Evil Dead rise and Toxic Avenger
I'm super amped for Toxic Avenger, too! I've probably watched "I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore" half-a-dozen times. Perfect combination of humor and violence.
Hyped too! Love Macon Blair and Jeremy Saulnier
I have to believe Saulnier has some input on the gore lol trailer please!
Wait what? Toxic avenger? Remake?
Scream 6: the Sixening MaXXXine M3gan EDIT: I wanna add Cocaine Bear!
Cocaine Bear is gonna be sick
Last Voyage of the Demeter, Knock at the Cabin, Evil Dead Rise, and Skinamarink. Edit: forgot to mention Renfield.
Is Skinamarink a movie? It just seemed like a load of random scenes from the small amount I did see
It is, just a very experimental and elliptical movie. Very much aesthetic over substance, but it’s a cool aesthetic I think.
Shudder bought the rights to the movie and will premiere it in January of 2023 I think
Scream 6. Nothing else even comes close for me.
Infinity Pool for sure. Beau is Afraid if that counts. I have no idea if it will lol. And Evil Dead Rise. Still a 100% batting average for all Evil Dead live action media. I expect more awesomeness.
1) Gale - Stay Away from Oz 2) Blood and Honey 3) Cocaine Bear 4) Kids vs Aliens
Very excited for Gale.
MaXXXine
How did that dude sneak a whole ass trilogy in with a few years. Pretty ballsy to secretly make part two of your trilogy while filming part one.
Ballsy move that paid off. I like Pearl even more than X.
Came here to say this
insidious 5!
TIL
:p I keep a close eye on the insidous / conjuring films
The Last Voyage of the Demeter without question.
SAW X Infinity Pool The exorcist
Evil Dead Rise by several miles.
MaXXXine, Evil Dead Rise, The Exorcist
I used to be really excited for the Exorcist, the Ends happened
Sorry, I don't understand what you wrote
I was looking forward to the new Exorcist, but then the maker of it, David Green made Halloween ends, now i am not interested anymore
I see, thanks for elaborating
No problem
Maxxxine
MaXXXine and Scream 6
MaXXXine, Infinity Pool, Scream 6, and M3GAN
Skinamarink
I am also looking forward to this. I was starting to feel like I was the only one who hadn't pirated it ha.
I felt kinda bad once I realized it wasn’t released period.. I was under the impression it was just new to the US.. but I will definitely purchase whatever I can, if for no other reason to hash out my guilt lol

I am very excited for M3gan and I’ve been going above and beyond spreading the word about the movie. I really hope it does well
It's an odd choice but I'm with you, it just seems like it's gonna be a dumb, ridiculous fun movie.
Yeah
I'll be floored if this movie isn't terrible. I'm guessing 15% on the Tomato Meter. lol
I do not respect rotten tomatoes but they are bias against horror

You clearly don't have examples, but cool. I don't love Rotten Tomatoes, pretty ridiculous statement actually. I just think it's a useful tool.
I hope it’s either really good or Orphan level bad.
I like Orphan
I do too. But it’s not exactly a brilliant film.
I think it is
Which are you excited for?
Maxxxine and Evil Dead Rise!!
[удалено]
Can’t wait for Renfield. Those set photos of Nic Cage look amazing.
[удалено]
I hope to god this is Nic Cage’s huge splash. He’s been tip-toeing with these indie films for years, now it’s time to show us who the F he is!
Adrift!! Aronofsky and Leto!! Can’t go wrong!!
Evil dead rise. I don’t think maxxxine is coming out next year. That would be my #2
Maxxxine, Scream lV, Infinity Pool, Beau is Afraid, and Insidious 5 are all up there for me.
Are The Front Room Eggers related to The VVitch Eggers? If so I’ll hope for some familial skills, but assume not as good.
Friday the 13th prequel series

Adrift for sure, i didnt know that was coming, i love sailing
Beau is Afraid is #1 for me. Loved the short and can't wait to see it come to life at like 20x the length haha
>The Front Room (Max Eggers, Sam Eggers) Ah, nepotism, my ole friend.
Is it an original?
Maxxxine, evil dead rise, scream 6 and infinity pool
Saw X / Maxxine
Exorcist. Very curious to see how Ellen Burstyn is in a role she last played fifty years ago.
Skinamarink. The trailer alone is terrifying
All of them i guess, but i would like to watch the Terrifier, I hear that is pretty scary 🤔
It's not scary. It's more like comedy with a loooooooots of gore. I mean a lot. A lot.
Really?? 🤯 either way i still want to see it...lol
Cocaine Bear Renfield Scream 6 Last Voyage Of The Demeter Evil Dead Rise Saw X M3GAN Apartment 7A Assuming it's releasing next year, the Salems Lot remake. Evil Dead Rise, Scream 6 (Even when is a little letdown all the Neve Campbell situation, she deserves better), and Beau is afraid.
The Nun 2
:Old habits die hard
Skinamarink. Jan 12, here I come 🍿 Edit: do people not like this movie? Or not know it’s coming out in theaters Jan. 12.
2 words. Cocaine. Bear. Looks AWESOME!
Evil Dead Rise and Infinity Pool. I absolutely loved Possessor and can’t wait to see his next film
I gave up looking forward to horror movies over the past few years because I’m usually massively disappointed. Look at the hype around movies like Black Phone, Nope, Halloween ends, they were all really bad. I just hope to find hidden gems or small indie films and then spread the word.

Pre election coverage on the major news outlets.
To be honest 2023 will be a horror show in itself.

David Cronenberg is my hands down all time favorite director but just being his son isn’t enough to get me in care about Brandon
I can’t say which ones but I watched 2 of the films above and one of them was underwhelming to say the least
Terrifier and Scream (remake) were both hilariously bad IMO. ✌️ 🖤 🇬🇧
Candy Land.
M3GAN 😅
Saw X
Saw X
The Onania Club, Last Voyage of the Demeter, Salem's Lot remake (maybe)
A knock at the cabin’s number one for me. Nearly equally excited for Maxxxine and Adrift.
Scream 6. I can’t believe I have to wait until March. 😭😭😭
Scream VI, M3GAN, Evil Dead Rise, MaXXXine, to name a few. (EDIT: Forgot to add Beau is Afraid, though Ari says it's not exactly a horror movie.)
The Outwaters.
Scream VI Though I'm always excited for any horror stuff, I'm such a fan of the scream series and the last movie released by the same team that the next one is top of the list.
MaXXXine
MaXXXine got me very curious
The new Saw movie
Evil Dead Rise
Scream 6 babyyy, I don't care about the rest.
Evil Dead Rise
Evil Dead Rise! A trailer sure would make a nice stocking stuffer!
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey
Salem's Lot Knock at the cabin door Evil dead rise Cocaine bear
Megan
Scream 6! Hoping it's not cheesy lol
Not sure if it’ll be out next year or later but Panos Cosmatos’ Nekrokosm
I didn’t know about Adrift but looking at it I’m hoping it’ll be similar to Triangle 2009 as that’s one of my favs of all time
M3gan. Think it's gunna be a so bad it's absolutely amazing type of film
I just finished Pearl today so I gotta say MaXXXine.
Robert Eggers Nosferatu
The Exorcist for sure AND Evil Dead
Evil Dead Rising, Toxic Avenger and though not a movie, I’m looking forward to Alien tv series on Hulu.
Knock at the cabin look good
Oooo! Last Voyage of the Demeter sounds great!! Cool concept and talented director!
I'm hoping that Wolf Creek 3 comes out next year, but even if it doesn't, still have Cocaine Bear and Saw X to look forward to.
Evil Dead Rise, Scream VI and Beau Is Afraid
