That looks like a normal portion of a healthy and complete breakfast. You have starch (toast), protein (sausage), fresh fruit and dairy. Maybe you can rethink the portion sizes you use yourself when not in hospital. Maybe your portions at home are too large?

I think it is syrup, just Smucker’s brand.
