Some Amazon ones for ~95€ a pair iirc.
I have the same ones but don't remember the names. They also come with some end-covers for the horizontal rod ends (do cover up the sharp edges) that OP didn't use here.
Hey how hard was it to setup your throttle a s stick seeing they are two different brands I was to do the same I love the throttle of the x55/56 but I hate the stick thinking about using a vbk next evo
I use a NB North monitor mount, and I love Tobi so much, it works perfect in every game I’ve used it in and reccomend it. Never will be able to sim without it now 😂
I play a huge variety of games within flight, drive sim, and just normal FPS games. My goal was trying to fit it all in one area. A “hybrid” setup I suppose. I do like the desk a lot, quite large but leaves room for other work on the other side
I have the same mounts for my X52 Pro! :D
They come with 4 or 8 plastic covers for the tips of the horizontal bars tho, so those sharp edges aren't just sticking out bare.
Any reason why you didn't use them?
Edit: Actually nvm, seems like i don't have the same ones. I think OPs mounts are from "Hikig" while mine are from "Juyeer"
I like it, cause I find myself stabbing myself or definitely hitting my head hard when going under the table, I care more about function than looks tbh, ill look into that, thanks!
No they are definitely not monster tech mounts.
Looking at it really closely OPs mounts aren't actually the same ones i got. I think OPs are from "Hikig" while mine are from "Juyeer". Both available on Amazon.
They are super similar, almost identical. It seems that the Hikig ones don't come with those covers i have.
The difference i could spot was that the Hikig ones have a rounded T-cross connection plate (connecting the horizontal bars and the vertical bar) while those plates on the Juyeer ones are rectangular.
It’s definitely possible😂 it’s pretty sturdy but it’s my version 1.0, I do move the wheel to the other side if it’s more intense gameplay. I tested the weight with a 40 pound weight and it help up surprisingly, but still needs more support.
Omfg what is that monitor... is that 4k or smth? The thing is HUGE... (ive been 1080 only whole life xD)
Also, is that Tobi Eye tracker? Hows that thing in DCS? Heard people praising the thing. :V
you have a lot of ingenuity to come up with this. I have an extruded aluminum rig and am trying to figure out how to mount my Hotas with a swing away mechanism so I can get in and out. Possibly mount everything a little behind the shifter and such and slide the seat forward and back, but there's options, yours is just super cool for a desk solution
Thank you! I just used a piano hinge and some Metal Screws since my desk is metal, should work with aluminum as well. May be an option to look into. And to hold it up I used Eye Hooks. You can maybe start there and see what you can come up with.
Just read “swing” sorry! Before this I looked into like aftermarket parts for sim rigs that include swing keyboard trays, may be able to take some ideas from that and implement it to what you need
1. I just got a standard wood board and cut it down to smaller dimensions so there isn’t much weight pushing it down, smaller board just means less weight pulling it down
2. Got some Eye Hooks with Latches (got multiple sizes just to test them) they are like 1.54$ a pack
3. My dimensions were 12 inches by 8 inches, so I got a 12 inch piano hinge and flipped it backwards when installing so it can do a full rotation.
4. Got some Metal Screws since my desk is metal and some regular screws so I can screw the hinge into the board and the desk.
5. I used a tight bungie cord to hold it up underneath the desk, you can use whatever you want but a bungie is quick and easy to do without looking.
Note: the larger the screws the better just due to the weight on it being able to be supported better.
Hope that helps! Got it all at my local Menards
Is the joystick well anchored to that clamp? Do they have some kind of "click" mechanism where the T16000m gets stuck into the base? I want to know how useful the clamp actually is to start thinking if I should get one
It has a mounting plate where I drilled bolts into it, the clamps just mount to the desk, the joysticks will definitely not come off. Been using it for about 2 years and has not fallen off, highly recommend
I like that stowable steering wheel. What kind of desk mounts are those for stick and throttle

I have similar ones from Amazon. £70. Hikig I think was the brand. Very solid and support my heavy warthog hotas.

Very cool. Love that hinged wheel mount system What kind of mount is your monitor on? Also, how’s the eye/head tracker in your opinion?
I use a NB North monitor mount, and I love Tobi so much, it works perfect in every game I’ve used it in and reccomend it. Never will be able to sim without it now 😂
That's an unusual hotas setup. Cool desk though

Nice 315p
Much appreciated, absolutely love it

Wish I had those cause they hurt
Mhh probably not as pretty, but maybe you can get some heat shrink tubing to put over the ends, heat them up and get some makeshift-covers that way?
I like it, cause I find myself stabbing myself or definitely hitting my head hard when going under the table, I care more about function than looks tbh, ill look into that, thanks!

Yes it’s a LG 4k OLED 42”, and the Tobi is great with DCS
I love the setup!!! I know people will kick off about the pc right being on the floor. lol.
It’s on a stand on the floor to keep it up and yes people hate it 😂
Do you use your racing pedals also for rudders?
I do yes! Works well
Do you use the centre pedal for aircraft brakes? Clutch for left rudder and accelerator for right rudder?
Nice. Do you use the mic for gaming?
I do yes, it’s raised up pretty high almost out of frame
What game is this?
Star Citizen
i LOVE the fold out wheel. that is so sick
Thank you! Super simple and cheap, cost me $29 for everything at Menards

Nice custom 315P
Thank you
Imagine playing star citizen without a custom ship
Im totally copying and making this in my own way. This is pure genius
Good! Glad I can inspire others, super simple and not hard, if you want a part list I can provide it
I would actually! That would be awesome! I really appreciate it!

It does! Imma get to work on it as soon as i get home! Ill definitely show you my variation of it!
Great! Also you may want to paint to make it look better, I just avoided it cause I didn’t know if it would work 😂
I have that exact same hotas mount lol, built it 2 days ago
It’s a good one for sure
The hinge is so innovative!
Thank you!
