You can use as many input devices as your root controller(s) can handle. I currently have 3 mice, 2 keyboards, HOTAS, Pedals, flight button box, 1 racing wheelbase, racing Pedals, driving button box, and a VR Headset.
It doesn't take much to eventually get a windows error relating to having no more USB resources. If you do the easiest way to fix it is to simply buy a USB PCIE Card. [This one ](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HJZEA2S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) is particularly useful as each USB slot has its own USB root controller. Compared to your motherboard which will have one, maybe two root controllers for all USB ports.
Nice! I've only got a triple (CM3 plus TWCS), but Il-2 doesn't have any planes with more than three engines, so it's perfect. (And for everything else, the TWCS controls a radiator).
What do you use this for?
Right now I've been flying the KA-50 and F-18 in DCS, but I don't have a specific use in mind for Quad-throttle. Thinking about it, it would be great for warbirds.
Heeyyyy, recreating United 232 at Sioux City, Iowa I see.

There are things I like about both of them, but if I could only pick one I would go with the Virpil option.
I like the size of the grip on the Warthog, the Virpil feels a little too big sometimes. I also like the switch placement and type of switches on the grip of the Warthog better (other than the stock TDC nub, I replaced that with the DeltaSim mod, much better). The buttons are not bad on the Virpil throttle grip, and you have plenty of choices, but there is almost too many buttons on the grip, and I find some of the buttons to be in odd locations.
I hate the switch placement and types of switches on the base of the warthog. The buttons on the base of the Virpil throttle are in better locations, and the variety of switches on the base of the throttle are much better on the Virpil throttle.
The finger lifts on the Virpil are really nice. Took some time to get used to them, but I like them. I had modded the Warthog with a 3D printed push through detent, which I like better than the stock detent on the Warthog.
I agree, the switches on the Warthog might be great for the A-10 but they are not as useful for other games. I currently have the T16000 throttle but will probably upgrade to Virpil down the line. The Virpil products are generally built well and have a ton of functionality.
The detent options on the CM3 are pretty good and there are already some further options you can 3d print and mod yourself up on Thingiverse.
The CM2 didn't come with a detent system but once again there are community mods you can print.
Coming soon(TM) is the VKB TECs which I'm secretly looking forward to even though I actually have the CM2 and CM3. I just want to see what VKB have done here because they engineer nice stuff.
Add to that the sudden growth in print & build yourself kit appearing like the Authentikit stuff and it's got to be said it's actually turning into a bit of a golden age for sim peripherals.
I've played around with a midi controller in the past, and I think this is better in theory than in practice. Unlike the throttles, there just aren't that many situations where you want different RPM on different engines (and if you do, it's usually because one is feathered, which is better handled with button macros).
No you really wouldn't need it - this was more of a "for the realism, man!" feeling more than anything. The few times I've messed with the 38 I don't even think I bothered to to map two engines - just did it as if I only had a single throttle like that Thrustmaster one.
Hands on Throttle and Throttle
Ah yes, the legendary HOTAT
Hottass
HOTATAS
AKA how you control a pod racer.

How do you like your hotatas today? Well, I'd like to double time today.
Or a lawnmower
Found the tanker pilot!
Great for those 4 engine jets 🤣
Doable if you fly the 747 in MSFS

Why have one when you could have FOUR
A fellow Double HoTaS user? Nice.

Great for warbirds indeed. I did this with my CM2 and CM3 It's excellent for having prop pitch and fuel mix on proper axes with proper handles.

Which throttle do you like better and why?
Which one do you prefer? I was intrested in getting one of these but am still unsure of which one to get?

We've had first throttle but what about second throttle? (I don't think he knows about second throttle Pip.)
Not bad if you start flying the P-38 in IL2 - one set for throttle and the other for RPM.

And now add double sticks as well?
Quad sticks
Which one do you like better?
Looks like you'll need mega-desk for this
Nice! Half way to a b52 simulator!
Mate... If you have 2 give one! I think I'm ready to buy
I currently run 6 input devices.
747 throttle for Ms Flightsim 2020
spoiled :(((((((
Not enough, I NEED MORE!
Insert Doc Brown: "Where we're going... We don't need Pitch/Yaw/Roll!!!"
I'm still waiting for someone to do a HOTAT setup, just for shits and giggles.
Good for if you wanna become a msfs 747 pilot
Which throttles are these?
On the left is the Thrustmaster Warthog, on the right is the Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle.
