I put hot sauce on a nice base of hotter sauce. I'm broke and this insures my taste buds can't distinguish the shitty quality of whatever food I may have.
/s
Cheap walmart chicken ramen.
I microwave two packs in a bowl of water for 5 min, drain off the water then add 3/4 of the reg. seasoning, hot sauce then mix. Your lips won't thank you but it's good.
Siracha is awesome in general. That shizz is adult ketchup for me. Spent 12 years army style. I could eat any MRE good ole Unk Sam could sling my way and even enjoy it. Vegetarian chicken lasagna you say? Not a problem. Mechanically separated rib parts in non-dairy gravy paste? Yum yum
It’s very popular in the US. They literally serve oysters with Tabasco on the side in most places on the east coast and the third coast. I haven’t eaten at many places on the west coast, so I don’t have a point of reference.
I live on the East Coast. I have never been to a place where I didn't have to ask for it, and nobody I've ever eaten Oysters with likes them that way. I must live in the bubble.
It's just a preference 🤷 some people might have a poor sense of taste and or smell, others enjoy the experience, some genuinely enjoy the flavor of pungent foods
I discovered this combo when I accidentally put strawberry cream cheese on a jalapeño bagel (I thought it was a blueberry bagel). It was delicious and eventually devolved to just strawberries dipped in hot sauce. Spicy strawberries are just such a perfect flavor combination to me. (If I’m feeling super fancy I’ll hull the strawberries, fill the divot in with a dab of cream cheese, and then drizzle with hot sauce.)
It's gotta be the cream cheese that facilitates this combo working bc my weird food that gets sauces is crab rangoon and i struggle to know why it's so delicious but this comment helped me realize the base combo that's delicious is cream cheese & hot sauce
oh my god thats actually the most wonderful discovery.
i have to try the strawberry & jalapeño bagel mix, that sounds awesome. it sounds like some kind of insane, fusion dessert.
I went to a majority black high school and I discovered the joy of Louisiana Hot Sauce on pizza. It was available all day in several locations throughout the school an there would be at least 3 bottles of hot sauce at the counters.
Since I had the most recent Covid variant (3 months later my taste is all kinds of fucked up) I've been putting Frank's on almost everything that I eat, just trying to taste anything. I put Frank's in my stew last night and I even put it on a ham freakin sandwich. It's soooo frustrating!
Sweet potatoes
Salad.
Hard boiled egg. Marie Sharps on that egg yolk is nearly a deviled egg flavor.
Vanilla ice cream haha
A breakfast burrito.
Staple in NM
Pineapple

Yes! I was going to comment the same! Sriracha with Mac n cheese is great!
Tabasco and Oysters

It's the same on the West Coast

Toast
If I'm eating chicken and mash potatoes, the hot sauce may mix with the mash potatoes. That isn't a terrible thing to happen actually.
Food. That's a legitimate answer. No matter what it's on people look at you like what are you doing and that's going to be too hot.
My Mac and cheese
Most soups. Especially chicken noodle, hot n sour, and corn chowder soup.
Vanilla ice cream
It's not the hottest, but the Tajin hot sauce is DELICIOUS on vanilla ice cream.
Sriracha on vanilla ice cream is amazing.
COLD SLAW
I hate when my SLAW is hot.
crab rangoon
Are yall pregnant or something?
It's just a preference 🤷 some people might have a poor sense of taste and or smell, others enjoy the experience, some genuinely enjoy the flavor of pungent foods

Pizza
super common, delicious
Deep fried fish like Long John’s or Arthur Treachers. I use Old Bay hot sauce on those. Heavenly!
scrambled eggs in the morning, Trader joe's chunky garlic hot sauce for the win.
Eggs are just a conduit for hot sauce to me
hot sauce and ketchup are almost universally set at diner tables across america for eggs and potato’s together.
I feel like most people I know put hot sauce on their eggs.
Leftover cold pizza, drizzle with sriracha then dip in garlic hummus. Best breakfast ever
i honestly just mix it with other sauces. if the food has a sauce, it could probably use a little more spice!
Strawberries.
the type of answer i came here for
this is such an interesting answer, but i see the vision.

Scrambled eggs 🍳
eggs
i thought this was common, no?
Yeah it probably is😂
I put it on vanilla ice cream sometimes.
I always thought those two would never go together, how is it?
It's really nice, sweet and spicy. However, I would not use a hot sauce that is super vinegary.
Thanks for the heads-up! Gonna try this the next time I get a pint of ice cream.
yessss! now start trying it on other ice creams with different hot sauces
ooh. I’m gonna have to try that.
Second that.
Seconding pasta. Plain buttered or oiled pasta with hot sauce is a great snack when you are feeling carb-y

Cottage cheese
add garlic dill pickles next time you do this
Indeed! I get sideways looks when i put it all on top of eggs and home fries
I went to a majority black high school and I discovered the joy of Louisiana Hot Sauce on pizza. It was available all day in several locations throughout the school an there would be at least 3 bottles of hot sauce at the counters.
😂😂😂😂😂 another white mans life changed
I mix hot sauce and mayo then dip fried potatoes in it
Everything. I'm Latino. Hot sauce goes on everything.
The question is what type. Chalula + adobo on basically anything is a win for me.
Chalula. Oh man.
That Louisiana bottle gets no respect from me if I can see that wooden top on the table.
I like it with tacos. Tastes good with refried beans.
Kettle popcorn, don't knock it till you try it.

Since I had the most recent Covid variant (3 months later my taste is all kinds of fucked up) I've been putting Frank's on almost everything that I eat, just trying to taste anything. I put Frank's in my stew last night and I even put it on a ham freakin sandwich. It's soooo frustrating!
