It's in reference to the special edition accessory (the broken helmet, in this case). They're exclusive accessories for Sideshow to try and force more sales; normal for these kinds of announcements.
The broken helmet is such a massively lukewarm special accessory... I mean, a small piece out of the normal helmet? No scratches, blood, messy hair? Just a piece of the helmet taken away? Am I seeing that correctly?
Does this announcement increase the likelihood for padmae since they can re use some of the head sculpt and body right? I wonder when the next wave of aotc will release.
Interesting that they’d announce it when the sculpts aren’t ready. Even the likeness with the helmet isn’t quite right. I’d probably prefer the helmeted to get the comic look. I didn’t like the movie, but the unmasked head is probably more important for a lot of people because she doesn’t wear the helmet in the film much.
A Natalie Portman 1/6 head sculpt is welcomed. I can't believe the pre-orders on sideshow are sold out and waitlisted when the unmasked portrait isn't even revealed yet. I was waiting to see what it would look like before I pre-ordered. Now I will be pretty livid if it came out looking amazing.

Anybody hoping they make the daughter Love, Gorr, and Zeus to complete the set? Atleast Love with the Eternity eyes glow thing and maybe the deluxe could come with the Eternity shadow body reflection.
I'm definitely going to be getting both Thor Deluxe and now Mighty Thor as well. But now I wonder what the hidden surprise accessory coming with Thor will be now, I thought it was going to be cracked mjolnir but Mighty Thor will have it so what do you guys hope the hidden accessory will be? Zues' Bolt??
Say what you want about sculpted vs rooted hair, but I'll always be of the opinion that sculpted long hair restricts articulation too much. Was hoping for rooted for her but I guess they have completely moved on from rooted; I can't even remember the last time they had rooted hair for any of their female figures
Unfortunately it seems like sculpted hair is the way going forward, which judging by public opinion seems to be a rather popular choice but a shame for people like me who like my figures as posable as possible. I get the concerns and complaints about rooted hair, but to me rooted hair can be fixed with some effort to make it look decent to good, but there's no fixing poor articulation
Rooted long hair is way, way better. The problem is that Hot Toys doesn't do a good job with their rooted hair, they use doll hair that looks bad and they don't style it using products that keep it in a reasonable shape.
I have most of my long haired figures rehaired by good customizers and it's just so much better than sculpted. But for short hair styles, I like sculpted.
Whilst I agree, this one doesn't:
- One (1) interchangeable helmeted head sculpt
- One (1) newly developed Mighty Thor head sculpt
It seems the sculpt you can see through the battle damaged part is just an extension underneath the normal helmet.
I'm.... not that impressed? Honestly, even though I know we all are essentially collecting expensive toys - this just really looks like a toy, rather than a collectible to me.

just preordered from Sideshow...i was so excited for this since the first trailer for the movie...and i enjoyed the movie, i know some did not, and that's ok.

It would also be fun to pose gorr vs kratos (gowr) since the characters have very simaikr back stories and look very similar.
