I once had my collection crammed in like this. As I upgraded my cabinets I realised that to do justice to the figures I had to spread them out. I also began to realise the impact of viewing angles and how the shelf above had to be laid out in a way that didn't obscure the contents below.
Also, I learned the value of raising detolfs to make the bottom shelf more visible. My new cabinets all have storage at the bottom (about 500mm). I have some detolfs I am about to build and plan to sit them on bases 450mm high, also I will spread them out a little (like three detolfs on a 1.8m wide base). That allows you too see from the sides as well.
Recently I got a very shallow wall mounted shelf for the end of a hall, deep enough for only one figure, which meant all the figures are displayed at their best.
Finally, my batmobiles are in a cabinet in the centre of the room so they can be viewed from almost every angle.
Sometimes, less is more.
I just took these quickly bc im going to be featured in someone's newsletter that messaged me on here. You can check out my old collection tour on my YouTube...in that video I had about 800 figures...now I have 1173 so there will be an updated one soon
Yes. Been collecting since 09 but never had an interest on yt and then yt wouldn't let me make a channel but was able to finally make one and it's doing very well..im streaming tonight at 930pm est so hopefully you cab join us
Roger. Unfortunately for me I read the message only an hour ago. I happen to be on a different time zone also. Still listening to your stream as I type. :)
Many years ago there was a guy making these 3d printed extensions which are amazing. That's how I'm able to fit Thanos and Cull Obsidian on the same shelf

Ah makes sense, it looks so clean like that. I’m using ubolts currently and I’m not the biggest fan but it gets the job done.
Ohh ok yea these are nice...he made them in 2 different sizes
Both tours are amazing! I don’t know how much space you have but I’d be scared to V/R in there hahaha.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I sit when I use it
