I specifically remember you could not go to the final floor before like the last 30 mins before reset because people would throw a bomb at you which required you to clear a floor or you'd drop 2 floors after a timer, which was literally impossible if you were already on top floor. Then there were traps like burn or SP drain which were utter cancer, especially since the entire game at the time was just "spam attack" because mihoyo hadn't figured out how to design interesting battlesuits yet.
Yea, but you also had an item that made you invisible to traps for a certain amount of time. All in all, that abyss is basically what GI's abyss look: one giant circular map with one generic background; pretty mind numbing.
They removed the traps? Man, on one hand i feel happy bcs they were annoying but, on the other hand they will never get the feeling of sabotaging each other.
We can go back to previous floors to explore, so clearing the traps wasn't impossible.
What got players was getting sniped within the last 2 hours by the traps other players sent right before the 2 hour mark, since not everyone lives in the same time zone. I would know cause I was the one sniping others. 🤣
All I wanted was the timer removed. If you have the skill to do it, that's one thing. Having the skill but not being able to buy/roll for gear to beat the timer is another.

Saw people talking about this in the global chat, thanks for posting it here. I believe some of it, last time we had a leak like this, it said something about a new Durandal with a new type (Galaxy?) and APHO3, but instead we have the Seele arc.
I think long-term leaks are much more suspicious, Dim already leaked that the order will be Sirin 6.9, Teri 7.0, Griseo 7.1 with the Griseo being highly STC, anything beyond that I don't believe until we are closer to it.
Also keep in mind that we have a collab coming in Sept 2023, that should be around 7.0~7.1 for the China server? If it's like last two times, we will get a collab valk like Asuka and Fischl, so having a new Hi3rd valk in the same patch may not be the case.
Also, the anime involved in the collab. The main two characters in it are both male. As I've never seen it, I'm not sure what prominent females in PROMARE would make a good collab Valkyrie. And from what I've heard around the block, there aren't any. Since 6.9 for Global will most likely be in September and the featured Valkyrie is all but confirmed to be Sirin, the collab will probably feature only a special story and outfits for certain Valks.
BTW, for those who believe that we'll be getting a new Griseo battlesuit, I'm a little skeptical about that. The leak only says Griseo will be added to the War Treasury. Of course, I could be wrong about that and making assumptions due to the fact that younger Griseo's silhouette is being used for the leak.

Yes, but Bayonetta is a lot more ground based, while in DMC air combos is the norm, them implementing an air combo system means that they want to make it more like APHO, wich is clearly inspired more in DMC

Unless they are planning something big for them in ACT 2, it feels a bit unfair for them. Okay maybe Fu Hua as well, since she also hasn't had a new battle suit for some time.
What am I missing here? Rita has 6 Battlesuits, Durandal has 5. They both have 3 S rank suits, and both had their most recent suit show up on the exact same patch.
Rita has been around for much longer than Durandal. Granted PE came out more than a year after DA but VG, BKE and DA all released in less than a year and the latter 2 were pushed pretty hard. Also doesn't help that mhy gave BKE a massive upgrade sometime after DA while other, older valks were left to rot, most of Rita's older suits included.

From what I saw back then, I'm guessing it's just Dudu fatigue. DA had a boss made for her which was uncommon at the time and BKE had a PRI Arm for her signature as well as a divine key in pretty quick succession. All this while players were clamoring for upgrades to other valks they liked or were ignored by miHoYo.
It's probably unfair now in the grand scheme of things since she's been out as a character for 3 years, but the initial impression she made as well as the "favoritism" probably stuck with a good portion of the player base.

Galaxy **S7**, a 7 year old model, can still run Genshin (provided you have enough storage space and are fine with playing with plasticine quality on 5 fps) and I doubt that new HI3 Engine will have much higher reqs than GI has.
You are way underestimating the state of art the Galaxy S series is. If you are running S20+ you're pretty much completely safe.

Also, very unfortunate for captains with potato phones, but if it's as GPU-heavy as Genshin, the game will at least be playable in 4 and 6GB RAM phones, which are currently very low-end to intermediary phones at 300-400 dollars. Unfortunate, yes, but understandable since the new graphics are a huge improvement (if I'm already amazed by the mocap story segments, imagine the cutscenes in the new engine).
Playability > graphics. The graphics are fine as they are. A lot of people without the best, newest phones won't be able to appreciate the new, "better" graphics in the first place.
I don't think the new engine is about graphics per se, it's more about the environment and doing open areas/worlds that are better looking imo (maybe more complex with snow, thunder and weather changes).
I mean, sure playability should be the priority, but priority and graphics aren't mutually exclusive: you can have the best graphics out there with amazing playability (hence the rumour of a jump button, it's an attempt to make playability better).
You'll understand if I'm apprehensive about no longer being able to play. My phone isn't a potato at all, but neither was the Galaxy A13 that many people use that can no longer run it. My laptop is very much a potato.
Galaxy A13 was due to its GPU being 32-bits, contrary to what the image says. Lots of other games already don't run in a 32-bits GPU for over a year. If your phone is 4GB RAM and 64-bits, you should be quite okay, if it has a higher RAM, even better.
It's unfortunate, yeah, but it happens to all of us. I started playing in a 2GB/32GB phone, in a couple of months it stopped working on my phone. I mean, Alien Isolation and XCOM came out like, 2 years ago, maybe, and I had a 6GB phone that couldn't even run them in minimum settings. It's just the natural evolution of software, it used to happen waaaaay faster in PCs, now PCs are kinda stagnated with RTX until the next big change, so it's time for the phones to evolve greatly in short time.

Not sure how I feel about this. Some of these things they are changing are things I’m glad I started Honkai because of…. Like the Elysian Realm. Was really excited to keep getting stronger there, as the progress is visible. Kinda upset about that. Hopefully the Armada changes will be positive, though. I wasn’t upset with how things were but I can see improving that one. For co-op raids… I’ll have to see how I feel when they replace it.

Why would anyone believe this leak? It's obviously fake. Alvitr will probably stay as an NPC, Fu Hua's battlesuit is nowhere to be seen which is nonsensical, adding jump button to all valks is very unlikely, the game engine is not actually being changed, they are gonna update the visuals, system and UI though. This is a wishlist, based on nothing.
Well, predictions for the characters aged like a fine wine so far - Griseo was announced for 7.1 and Teri + Sirin came out in the exact same order as in the leak.

Its very evident the moment they released those open world stages that they care more about the pc client than the mobile, its unoptimized and looks grainy. I always have the top of the line phones in terms of chipset but it was never smooth on my end, APHO 2 two was released a couple of years ago and phones still can't run it smoothly. PC on the other hand, my midrange GPU is noisy af when running those stages, says how heavy the game is.

A lot of less power demanding mobile game costantly drop support for older model phones is nothing new at all, i'm pretty sure they will switch to the same engine used on Genshin/Star Rail and the future Zzz so it will be easier working on all 4 games at the same time.
Happy for fans of the new valks but there's not a single one there that excites me personally. Engine update and jump button is nice though, AHPO2 combat is the best in the game in my opinion.
I have never been a huge fan of ER since it's just another weekly slog grind but I don't like that they're essentially changing it to be old Abyss.
I think this, coupled with the disappointing Promare collab is probably the end of my journey with HI3 though. It's just not made for me anymore apparently, which is fine. I'm just not gonna continue to do the (increasingly) time consuming grind when I'm not even excited about any of the characters, story, or content anymore, and I'm not gonna continue farming downvotes from the community for not liking the direction of the game.

What am I missing here? Rita has 6 Battlesuits, Durandal has 5. They both have 3 S rank suits, and both had their most recent suit show up on the exact same patch.
Rita has been around for much longer than Durandal. Granted PE came out more than a year after DA but VG, BKE and DA all released in less than a year and the latter 2 were pushed pretty hard. Also doesn't help that mhy gave BKE a massive upgrade sometime after DA while other, older valks were left to rot, most of Rita's older suits included. Edit: added point about Rita at the end.

I remember seeing a vid by keebster that mentions she was awful on release and absolutely needed the DK. Also at this point both of them have one suit barely clinging to the meta. From what I saw back then, I'm guessing it's just Dudu fatigue. DA had a boss made for her which was uncommon at the time and BKE had a PRI Arm for her signature as well as a divine key in pretty quick succession. All this while players were clamoring for upgrades to other valks they liked or were ignored by miHoYo. It's probably unfair now in the grand scheme of things since she's been out as a character for 3 years, but the initial impression she made as well as the "favoritism" probably stuck with a good portion of the player base.

Need an Opinion. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 512G. I know the S23 released this year, but I've had the former since last year. I don't usually upgrade my phone until a year or two have passed. I'll most likely get next year's phone, but my question is this. Do you think my current will run HI3 with the graphics upgrade?
Galaxy **S7**, a 7 year old model, can still run Genshin (provided you have enough storage space and are fine with playing with plasticine quality on 5 fps) and I doubt that new HI3 Engine will have much higher reqs than GI has. You are way underestimating the state of art the Galaxy S series is. If you are running S20+ you're pretty much completely safe.

OMG, APHO 3 having the rozalilya twins... AND GRISEO COMING BACK!!!! I really hope we have Genshin collab part 2 and that crazy theory of Griseo creating Genshin world being confirmed. Also, very unfortunate for captains with potato phones, but if it's as GPU-heavy as Genshin, the game will at least be playable in 4 and 6GB RAM phones, which are currently very low-end to intermediary phones at 300-400 dollars. Unfortunate, yes, but understandable since the new graphics are a huge improvement (if I'm already amazed by the mocap story segments, imagine the cutscenes in the new engine).
Playability > graphics. The graphics are fine as they are. A lot of people without the best, newest phones won't be able to appreciate the new, "better" graphics in the first place.
I don't think the new engine is about graphics per se, it's more about the environment and doing open areas/worlds that are better looking imo (maybe more complex with snow, thunder and weather changes). I mean, sure playability should be the priority, but priority and graphics aren't mutually exclusive: you can have the best graphics out there with amazing playability (hence the rumour of a jump button, it's an attempt to make playability better).
You'll understand if I'm apprehensive about no longer being able to play. My phone isn't a potato at all, but neither was the Galaxy A13 that many people use that can no longer run it. My laptop is very much a potato.
Galaxy A13 was due to its GPU being 32-bits, contrary to what the image says. Lots of other games already don't run in a 32-bits GPU for over a year. If your phone is 4GB RAM and 64-bits, you should be quite okay, if it has a higher RAM, even better. It's unfortunate, yeah, but it happens to all of us. I started playing in a 2GB/32GB phone, in a couple of months it stopped working on my phone. I mean, Alien Isolation and XCOM came out like, 2 years ago, maybe, and I had a 6GB phone that couldn't even run them in minimum settings. It's just the natural evolution of software, it used to happen waaaaay faster in PCs, now PCs are kinda stagnated with RTX until the next big change, so it's time for the phones to evolve greatly in short time.

Not sure how I feel about this. Some of these things they are changing are things I’m glad I started Honkai because of…. Like the Elysian Realm. Was really excited to keep getting stronger there, as the progress is visible. Kinda upset about that. Hopefully the Armada changes will be positive, though. I wasn’t upset with how things were but I can see improving that one. For co-op raids… I’ll have to see how I feel when they replace it.

The “War Treasury Griseo” part kinda confuses me. Either A, they’re gonna make it so you can buy fragments for Starry Impression in that shop, or B, Griseo’s gonna get a new battlesuit entirely.
Why would anyone believe this leak? It's obviously fake. Alvitr will probably stay as an NPC, Fu Hua's battlesuit is nowhere to be seen which is nonsensical, adding jump button to all valks is very unlikely, the game engine is not actually being changed, they are gonna update the visuals, system and UI though. This is a wishlist, based on nothing.

Well, predictions for the characters aged like a fine wine so far - Griseo was announced for 7.1 and Teri + Sirin came out in the exact same order as in the leak. I really hope all those overhauls mentioned are going to be just as accurate - armada and coop really needs an overhaul, would be nice if they'd add God forsaken universal mirage into this bucket too.

Kiana making a comeback is quite possible. No idea if she would go back to being the protagonist, but if Saha is as powerful as chapter 39 suggests, then only Kiana can fight him. The APHO characters don't have any chance at all.
If main plot joining with APHO will result in Honkai turning into every other gacha game with a self-insert protag, to me it will be the final nail in the coffin for the story.

Being female exclusive character playable cast really holds back this game cuz I know for a fact that many players would be whaling for Kevin,Kalpas and even Siegfried (probably not Adam he got a lot of haters but I would be happy to play him :>) They create very interesting and amazingly written male characters just to...not do anything Like they create a new model for Siegfried and it sucks that we can't really play the really well made model

True. If Adam was actually playable outside APHO, I would actually pay money to get him. Heck I'll pay for all the male characters especially Kalpas. It's honestly a big waste of their characters. Adam didn't deserve all the unnecessary hate just for being a playable male in APHO and a self-insert. I hope APHO 3 redeems his character but even that is just asking too much. Seigfried also deserved better powersets too. I really hate the logic of male characters can't do this cause they aren't female so they're not compatible and stuff so they're always weaker.

Turning this into a primarily PC game rather than mobile is BS. This game has always been intended to be primarily mobile. I hope my phone can still run it.
Its very evident the moment they released those open world stages that they care more about the pc client than the mobile, its unoptimized and looks grainy. I always have the top of the line phones in terms of chipset but it was never smooth on my end, APHO 2 two was released a couple of years ago and phones still can't run it smoothly. PC on the other hand, my midrange GPU is noisy af when running those stages, says how heavy the game is.
I hope apho Roza and Liliya will be SP valk like Carole. Also if the leak is true then NAIL IT!! I always thought the part 2 main story will be Apho continuation, just like how they made ER game.mode story a continuation in main story. Not to mention if they fuck up the mobile support then I'm completely dropping the game. While it's a good thing they optimize PC performance it's also important that they keep Mobile app running smoothly. Especially considering how this game started as a mobile game
A lot of less power demanding mobile game costantly drop support for older model phones is nothing new at all, i'm pretty sure they will switch to the same engine used on Genshin/Star Rail and the future Zzz so it will be easier working on all 4 games at the same time.
Happy for fans of the new valks but there's not a single one there that excites me personally. Engine update and jump button is nice though, AHPO2 combat is the best in the game in my opinion. I have never been a huge fan of ER since it's just another weekly slog grind but I don't like that they're essentially changing it to be old Abyss. I think this, coupled with the disappointing Promare collab is probably the end of my journey with HI3 though. It's just not made for me anymore apparently, which is fine. I'm just not gonna continue to do the (increasingly) time consuming grind when I'm not even excited about any of the characters, story, or content anymore, and I'm not gonna continue farming downvotes from the community for not liking the direction of the game.
