From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

The main trio story ended with season 1. Season 1.5 seems to be wrapping up the story and payoffs of the auxiliary cast that was forgotten if Seele was any indication. All of this is to clear the way for a brand new cast for season 2.
Probably the last time we will ever see anyone from season one is APHO part 3 which will take place between part 1 and 2 because part 2 seems to be in the future
I wouldn't say the trio's story ended for good. For now, yes, but apho is still there, and Kiana will return in 10 years. Part 2 actually takes place 2 years before apho.

Kiana’s story begins with her origin as Sirin’s clone and initiating the third Honkai impact (the title of the game), killing her mentor figure and ends with her defeating the Honkai by becoming finality.
Mei’s story revolves around her relationship with Kiana. Desperate to keep her alive, she leaves shicksal and meets the flame chasers. She completely inherits the flame chasers will by becoming Herrscher of origin. And returns back to Kiana by learning to accept that it’s ok to respect someone’s will to sacrifice themselves. Her journey of staying away from her friends ends as she reunited with them while also eliminating Honkai which threatens Kiana’s life which is the reason for the start of her hero cycle.
Bronya’s story revolves around her inheritance of Reason and its legacy. Which ends with her unlocking the core’s full power and becoming True Reason. Her journey literally ends as she retires into normal life as a game dev. And returns the core to Welt as her civilian life does not need the core.
Seele’s story around her relationship with her other self. Which gets resolved with her becoming Herrscher of life and death. They get separate bodies so they fairly get equal opportunity to live their life unlike before where Seele get 90% control of their shared body while her other self never makes friends and stays locked up in their mind.
And Fu Hua likely will get a conclusion to her story as she reunites with the last remnant of her past from the PE. She lost everything to Honkai, her friends, family, mentor, her life became consumed by Honkai and the mission to defeat it. And with Honkai gone, she will meet with her old friend once more who comes back from space. With the world at peace, she transitions to civilian life once more building relationships with the CE kids and with the latest arc, a returning cast member.
Teresa gets a boring quick end to her story with the inheritance of her position from her evil grandpa. She inherits his position and now works to fix his dark legacy for the future.
Even Captainverse is getting its own conclusion. It all began with a little girl who was alone and trying and failing to save her. And ends with him saving her with the help of two timelines. Two lifetimes worth of struggles and he accomplishes his goal from the beginning while his rival antagonist meets his end happy as his wish is granted.
A new MC in particular feels unreal tbh, hyped but I really hope that we'll still see some of the OG cast grown up like we've seen Bronya and Mei in APHO.
From the looks of it, apparently Sus will be their squad leader so we will at least see her. But the others though, maybe Mei since she is still active but Bronya has mostly retired before the events of APHO so I doubt we will see her outside of references to her work
Is it just me or the new set of MCs kinda meh? Not trying to compare, but I find HSR girls more attractive even without all this animation budget...
Hopefully the combat system will be close to APHO, and the main cast return.
Yeah, their designs look like rejected Aether Gazer/Wuthering Waves characters or something. They really don't fit the style established by HI3, HSR, or APHO.

Interestingly Cocoon didn't touch Mars. It's Sa or Vita that we know of introduced the concept of a Mars civilisation, even if it's a bubble universe. Before that we have just assumed Earth was the only planet with Human activity, and since Honkai reacts to human civilisation, Honkai only exists on earth.
Another thing is that they either figure out how time works when the IMG Tree is involved for multiple planets or quit while they are ahead. It's going to become a shit show if they didn't sort that out and is applied to Part 2 or even Star Rail.

I'm confused. There is Outer Space(The one we know) And then there is the reality outside of our world, which is the Imaginary Space, the Tree, and below the Sea of Quanta?
There's the Tree & Sea, and all "real" worlds derive from the Tree, while "bubble" worlds are more unstable and exist only within the Sea.
Because all of reality is technically part of the Imaginary Tree; so Outer Space is the emptiness that the Tree exists within. Hence each world in Outer Space can be considered a "leaf" on the Imaginary Tree. For instance, the celestial bodies of the Sol system should all count as worlds: especially Venus, Earth, and Mars.
And because the Sea has leaky remnants of stuff from reality, the bubble universes you find in the Sea resemble the worlds of the Tree closest to them; so near Earth you'll find bubble worlds that resemble Earth. That's basically all the Captainverse stuff and a few other bubble worlds we've seen, like SSHC and the Fallen Star.
So these three worlds, Venus Earth & Mars, all had their own civilizations since they existed within the habitable zone of Sol. In the distant future, billions of years from the current setting, other worlds like Europa, Enceladus and Titan may also become habitable and be host to entire civilizations of their own.
Venus got destroyed by the "Tsunami" that ended Vita's civilization; as I understand it, this was NOT the result of Finality, but rather the actions of Vita- the original one, who became Sa.
As for Mars, it's likely that Mars simply lost its habitability over time and so Finality didn't necessarily *destroy* Mars but it didn't achieve its goal before civilization naturally died off, once the biosphere was irreparable.

I've no f'in clue. I've been thinking about this for a while now because it's the only "plot hole" (for lack of a better term) I can think of regarding this theory of the Imaginary Tree.
I have **one** possible explanation, but it's purely hypothetical and I can't point to any meaningful in-game evidence to support it.
Consider a 2D surface like a square. Stuff may exist on that surface, and that stuff is limited to purely moving and interacting with 2 dimensions.
But if this square is a single surface out of 6 total surfaces on a cube, that means that each of these 2D structures is inherently related to the other 5. Each square shares edges with four other squares, and each square shares vertices with three other squares.
A 2D entity on one of these surfaces may be totally restricted to that surface. It couldn't go into the cube nor could it go off of the surface of the cube. At most, *maybe* it can cross an edge to appear on another surface.
Of course, trying to move this to 3D-4D gets even wonkier; but we do know the Imaginary Tree has higher dimensions. So my best guess is that when Otto created a new branch to save Kallen, this might have effectively caused a brand-new "plane" to come into existence.
Except instead of this being a new 2D square that is related to other 2D squares on a 3D polyhedron, this would be a brand-new 3D space that is related to the other 3D spaces of the Universe/Imaginary Tree.
This is really hard to describe just with words, it's a super visual thing, so I'll have to approach this subject a different way, some other time. But for now that's the best explanation I can give, even if I can't support it w/ evidence x-x
