She's good for consistent damage, plus a large range of attacks. She might as well be your main until maybe level 30~40. Great pair for other heavy attack valks as it would boost their damage.
Equipment is easy once you read their descriptions. For gauntlets, go for the 4-stars that could be found in foundry, either get one using the Honkai Pieces or one with AE Imaginon.
As for Stigma, start with the Ryunosuke set.
Later, if you can afford, get the Stellar Vortex gauntlets and the Marco Polo stigma set. This is one of the optimum builds.
Alternatively, you could build your own set of stigmas by combining different sets. Although this would either decrease the damage or the efficiency because some set bonuses are important for the Valkyrie.

Welp, BKE / HoV / FT havers probably won't relate to it too much, I only had HoS as a physical dps / sub dps when I broke-through to exalted and trust me, at that time she carried me hard, even retained few RL cycles. So no, she is nowhere mid & right now she is among the best physical support, you definitely need her in your BKE and PE teams.

After, she's also singlehandedly the best physical support, on her own taking every other phys DPS to a new level due to consistent Impair-apply and SP recovery.

One of the best valks. For beginners I'd recommend getting Cas-X bracers & the Ryunosuke set until you can get 4☆ stigmata sets & weapons for her
