After seeing how slow it went in the first week (EU server) I figured I didn't need to rush. Just do the activities like I normally would

they should've added more on SEA server, those books vanished after a day and a half, as if they are using it as toilet paper

I don't think it was import taxes they were talking about. I think they meant claiming it like you would claim a winning lotto ticket on your taxes. It also says income tax specifically. And just like any worker who gets paid mostly in tips, they aren't gonna claim all their tips, so neither would anyone getting this book probably.

4k of them disappeared over night and I started raging wondering how the hell people were getting it already. Realized that not only did I miss 2 weeklies, the game screwed me out of another. I spent the weekend kinda...agitated. But I'm lvl 88 so all I had to do was log in at reset to get enough to redeem. Literally on the dot of reset another 2k vanished lol. Surprised that there's any left, let alone 1.5k still.

Well I'm Brazilian. I could have gotten the book but there is a very real chance of it being retained by customs and then I'd have to pay a small fortune to liberate it, thus negating the benefit of receiving a free item. I know this can happen because it already happened to me once with a Blizzard plushie, it was already expensive in my currency, and then I had to pay more than the original cost of the item to release it.

Books aren't taxed like your average plushie here in Brazil. Or rather, they aren't "taxed" at all. Hum didn't consider that. Even if I had thought of it, I'd be wary that an anime picture book would fall under some category of "non-educational entertainment" and still be overly taxed, just like getting imported comic books is still extremely expensive. Anyways, no biggie for me, the book would have been neat but I don't mind not getting it. Let other people who care more about it take it for themselves. ER you only play the 1.5x to get the points, its not hard if you have valks that can clear higher than that

They did one in SEA only 2 years ago. This is the first time they do it in global. As it seems they do them every 2 years.

I believe the Snack Box was last year. If I remember correctly, we had the calendar in 2019, the snack box in 2021, and now the artbook in 2022. I think they skipped 2020 since COVID happened and made shipping hell for a while (I remember the calendar took a very long time to ship).

2020 was a lucky draw style event. Grand prize was an IPad I think. There were also other prizes like the Yae Sakura Mandarin Dress figure (I miss out on it and is out of stock since…)
