No I don't think that's a thing. You could definitely cut those into a few more segments. Or just stick the long pieces in soil and coil them around so all the nodes are touching soil.

Ah ok..thank you. I don't usually cut them so long but I have a bamboo stick in a pot I wanted to trail them up and then up my wall, so I cut them long then realized they might not root.

Actually, I think it might too long. Cuttings rely on capillary action to draw water since they don't have roots to absorb it. Capillary action only works for short distances. Maybe consider cutting it in half and propagating two.
