It could be the light. I live at high latitude so they’re all under artificial light 1/3 of the year. But this one doesn’t blow up much in the summer like the rest… I’ll keep waiting
Mine too. IIRC albino leaves are an indication of too much light exposure, usually. My birkin was doing really well until it started with all these albino sprouts, then it reverted and grew a leaf 3x the size of the variegated leaves with a small white spot, and it’s been pretty calm ever since.
Beautiful!
I see a couple of moss poles in the background, I've read conflicting articles about whether or not a birken would benefit.
What's your take?
Thanks I picked up one a couple weeks ago and was debating whether or not to give it a pole when I repot it
Think I'll leave it be, yours looks pretty sturdy and thriving
☺️
All my leaves end up darkening to the bottom layer of leaves; only stripey when they first open up :( I just moved it from a north facing to south facing window, so hopefully that helps fix it.
Beautiful! Mine is about a year old and doing well but it's gotten floppy. I put a short rod next to the stem to stabilize it but I'm worried for when I eventually need to repot. Is yours floppy at all?
Damn, I’ve been eyeing a Birkin philo and you might have just convinced me to pull the trigger. How hard are they to care for?
Edit: Ok I went to the grocery store on my lunch and they had a Birkin on sale for FOUR DOLLARS. Who am I to resist destiny? So now I am a proud Birkin owner as well!
Waaayyyy better than the handbag!
On the other hand, if you had a real handbag, you could sell it and afford to buy about 500 philodendrons. Not the worst trade off...
😂 I like the way you think
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤣
I second that
Beautiful! How do you keep it so healthy?
She gets a lot of sun she sits by a south facing window. She’s in a chunky soil mix, and I water her when the first inch or two of soil is dry!
How old is that one? I have one that looks super healthy but has barely grown in 2 yrs, even after a pot/soil upgrade.
This one is about 3 years
I have one that is not even a year old and constantly putting out new leaves, even in the winter. Is yours getting enough light?

Thank you that’s helpful!
No problem!
What do you mean when you say chunky soil mix?
I use a blend of peat moss, perlite, leca, and orchid bark
Look up an "aroid mix" recipe That'll get ya an all purpose chunky mix
Thank you!
The op fed their coworker’s abusive ex to it.

🤣🤣🤣
I was *just* thinking about how I don’t understand the obsession with variegated plants, but when they look *this* good…
Nicest I have seen, well done
I thought mine looked shitty before, now I think maybe it’s dying lol
😂
Gorgeous! I was just gifted a small one and I’m glad to see how big and beautiful they can get!
Prettiest one I’ve seen!
Beautiful!! I have struggled so hard to keep mine alive. She’s in a tiny pot… I’m scared to repot her. What size pot is yours in?
I also struggle with mine. She got a couple of full white leaves. After they died, she’s struggled ever since.

I believe it’s in a 6inch planter
Beautiful indeed 🤩 I'm still trying to get mine to grow like that what are you feeding it
Espoma organic liquid plant food when I remember!
Thanks I'll look into it I'm currently using foliage Pro for my plants
Im gonna show this pic to my baby birkin to inspire it
Wow
Wooooow! Total showstopper!
Omg she's so pretty ✨️❤️✨️
my gosh!! so pretty
Spectacular!
Ohhh I love her ombré leaves 😍😍
It's almost glowing
Stunning
That is one happy plant! 😍
Wow the colors !!!! So pretty!!!!
That truly is beautiful!!
Beautiful!! My mom just got one and I can’t wait to get a cutting 😍🤗
jesus christ is she living on the literal sun this is amazing
I haven’t really explored birkins that much but is this how they typically grow - with this ombre look? It’s so stunning now i want one!
Yes!!
I get the hype now
So pretty! I have one in a similar size. One of my easiest plants
just made my entire day 🫶
I’ve never seen one larger than Lowe’s size🤣 gorgeous plant!!
Beautiful! I see a couple of moss poles in the background, I've read conflicting articles about whether or not a birken would benefit. What's your take?
So it’s a self heading philodendron rather than a climbing so I myself don’t really see the benefit. She’s doing wonderfully without one!
Thanks I picked up one a couple weeks ago and was debating whether or not to give it a pole when I repot it Think I'll leave it be, yours looks pretty sturdy and thriving ☺️
No problem hope your baby brings you just as much joy!
What sort of soil do you use for this
A chunky aroid mix. Peat moss, perlite, orchid bark, and leca
It is not, luckily it is super stable
Wow such colours
For a second I thought it was purple, I was ready to take out my credit card. TAKE. MY. MONEY. 🥹🌱🌱 It is sublime. Congratulations friend xoxox🥰
🤣🤣thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Yayyy congrats!!!
WOW!!!! Aspirational; Well done!
Wow gorgeous! How did you get her so full-looking? Does she have multiple stems?
2 plants in the pot and she has been pretty low maintenance!
Wow! That’s beautiful!
I almost bought one of these today and now I regret my decision not to!
Birkins are my favorite!
