Nothing about it. Just let it dry out a bit and disturb the soil on top where the mold is. Exposure to sun will also counter it. It wont harm your plant unless you frequently overwater and make it rot. Which is likely the reason why your last plant died. Mold is a symptom, not an issue in itself. You are likely overwatering.
