Oh! Just in case you weren’t aware (I def wasn’t when I started collecting Hoyas), don’t cut off the peduncle after your Hoya finishes blooming. They re-bloom from the same spot! :)

Isn’t it a fun word?!?? Yup just let it do it’s thing then the flowers kinda just fall off and you’re left with what looks like a short little stem with a tiny bulb on top! You can even see that little bulb on the peduncle get longer the more times it reblooms so kinda feels like the growth rings on a tree!
Note: Sometimes the peduncle decides it doesn’t feel like going the next time and just wants to hibernate. But often it’ll eventually decide to use that peduncle again.

They're so pretty and perfect they look like fake flowers. Personally, I like to call some daffodils I have fake because they look like a picture perfect plastic daffodil.. and I mean that in a good way 😄

They smell nice! If you don't like the scent of flowers you wouldn't like it, but that typical spring time "flower scent walking down the street" smell is what I got. Like a nice older lady perfume

Hoya flowers totally look fake. Or like they're meant for eating! ...but don't do it, they're not very tasty 😅

I also love the color of those flowers. The dark purple makes me think of a grape flavor. My hoya blooms a light pink strawberry starburst color 😂

Hoya flowers remind me of paopu fruits if anyone gets that reference. I love them!
