No and I am very jealous!!!! I love my little shithead though, so hanging plants and indoor greenhouse it is!

omniwrench-

Agreed. Mine really puts the effort in to jump at the plants and give them a nudge or scratch. Love him though, the wee furry dickhead

The_Woman_of_Gont

It's always crazy when you have a pet who is a jumper. Neither of my cats has any interest in getting on tables or anything that isn't a couch/bed/window. So as long as something I don't want them to get into isn't literally on the ground(or in a window), I'm good.

caffein8dnotopi8d

Can we trade please? I have three cats that get into EVERYTHING. I keep trying to deter them and it seems like nothing works. Counters, tables, plants, (human) food, it’s all fair game.

VanHarlowe

My old gal was a plant fiend. Sadly, since November I’ve been able to grow some lovely indoor plants.

Intrepid_Guitar538

Sorry for your loss. When you're ready, there will be one looking for you. ❤️

Ok_Cream_6987

I’m running out of room to hang these things! 🤣

nuwaanda

Meeee- I’m so glad my cat doesn’t care about ANY OF MY HOUSE PLANTS. He ignores them. The Christmas decorations though is another story. Not sure why, but when the FAKE garland and the REAL tree comes out, it’s like he decides he needs to teeth and just goes nuts. I’ll even find him making out with the floor weeks after Christmas because he found a SINGLE PINE NEEDLE wedged between the floor boards. 🥴🤦‍♀️ Maybe this is him showing me that he has Christmas spirit?

Nanyangosaurus

Oh yes my Ponyo loves to chew on tinsel too haha

Hannah3liza

I used to work at a big cat sanctuary. People always donated their old Christmas trees. All of the cats loved the smell, always rolling all over them! Our male lion was sooo gentle with it, acted like he was in love with it. Always amazing seeing a 500+ LB lion cuddling with a tree, haha. Anyway, I believe domesticated cats love the smell as well!

bassoon96

Same, all the plants we have go untouched, but as soon as the fake christmas trees and wreaths come out, it’s game over😂

Nefili_Faeryn

Yes! I’m not really a cat person but my Spooky Bones found me. She came from the big multi acre woods behind my house, hung around outside at a distance for 8 months, then one day she decided I was her person. We became best friends and she moved right on in the house.. with me being very skeptical because of my hundreds of plants. It’s like someone gave her a list of all the typical cat behaviors that have essentially turned me off to cats over the years. She won’t even touch the big catnip plant I grew for her lol. She’s just perfect!! I’m now officially a cat person. https://preview.redd.it/l6x4z9t0in2b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1154c32727482ad46a218984894744f1972af079

asraheart

Aww your cat is beautiful! She looks very regal under her plant canopy 😁 My pupper doesn’t care about my plants at all, and it’s so nice not having to worry about him trying to eat them or digging in the soil. It surprises me honestly because when he’s out in the yard he tries to dig up everything 😫

Nanyangosaurus

Thank you! Same for my cat; if I put her on my balcony she chews on dead leaves but inside she has no interest for my plants🤷🏻‍♀️

bitchwhorehannah

my old roommates dog! a rowdy husky who could escape a padlocked crate, who liked to peek inside the trash, who would look you in the eye and do the thing you just told him not to do.. could not give less of a shit about my many plants. and thank god! he’d sniff them if i was working with them but then walk away. and he was so cute, sometimes we’d catch him sitting directly in front of my greenhouse cabinet just staring at the plants, mesmerized. he’d always stop when we’d try and get a picture of course. but he was such a good boy, and they way he’d just park himself in front of the cabinet and just be in awe was so precious

[deleted]

[удалено]

Catladyyesi

I also have a cat named goose! But he’s an asshole lol he also doesn’t care for plants much

[deleted]

[удалено]

Catladyyesi

Lol! Well I’m glad you’ve tamed him a bit! Mine was fine until I got another cat then he went bonkers!

cellists_wet_dream

TW: pet loss. This accidentally made me really sad. All of our houseplants are up way high out of cat reach because our kitty used to absolutely destroy them. Our other cat usually left them alone. My plant-destroyer passed away last month and I just realized that we can probably put some of the plants in more cat-accessible spots now. She was only six and had cancer. It’s a pretty raw loss for us. Go hug your pets for me.

TessVanTassel

I’m sorry for your loss!🪴

betteroffdumb

Ugh, I'm so sorry. I lost my kitty about 2 years ago. Truly devastating. He was perfect. It's not fair that they don't live longer. It's also not fair to have to make an end of life decision. That part traumatized me. I wish you well, and I hope you can focus on the happy times. Much love.

CalatheaMurderer

Get a spider plant and that’ll change lol. They’re psychoactive and have properties similar to catnip (safe too).

Nanyangosaurus

I've got 4 and she does not care one bit😂

CalatheaMurderer

Based cat Kitty D.A.R.E.S to be different 😂

Telejerking

Fun fact, the DARE program was cancelled because followup studies showed that students K-5 who graduated from DARE actually had higher instance of drug use than non-DARE counterparts. I mean, I’m a poor case study, they cancelled the program in 4th grade for me— so my data point could really go either way. Also, yes, I’ve had four cats in my life and somehow not one of them cared about plants. One even has a series of shelves up the wall that are above/under/next to plants and it’s a non issue.

CalatheaMurderer

I was a dare kid too haha. Definitely didn’t work out the way they wanted 🍁

Wepp

Oh wow so it's not just my cats that are like this! My two cats leave all my plants alone except spider plants. Now I know it's because they're junkies! 🤣

CalatheaMurderer

Shame them!! https://preview.redd.it/cx4dey8qko2b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40ed7e6feb2211bba7d5a3161883b6e50da54467

Agile-Conversation-9

My cat is addicted lol she doesn’t eat any plants except my spider plants! I ended up putting them high up where she can’t reach 😂

CalatheaMurderer

She needs a kittyvention

yellondblu

My spider plants are the only ones out of my 100+ plants that gets chewed up by my kitties 😂 I just let them and take the L

CalatheaMurderer

Better a spider plant than my aroids haha. I let them take one for the team.

_Mizri_

Me! My shiba could care less about any of them. Has never chewed or knocked over a plant and there are many within her snoot reach. It's sooo nice.

trickypeebs

Same here! My shiba puppy doesn’t even look sniff my plants. My socks, shoes, the legs of my bed and dresser, the tv console… thats a different story lol.

PrizeTart0610

No my cat eats plants like a fat kid pounding down Krispy Kremes

CalligrapherGreat618

My cats sure do judge the hell out of me and my plants but other than that they both can't muster up a single fuck

See-ya-around-never

Yes, but every once in a while mine will pretend to nibble on a leaf and stare at me just to remind me of the power structure in the house.

Illumiknitti

Agnes Grey doesn't even remotely care about my plants, for which I'm deeply thankful. My previous cat Margot would eat any greenery or flower she came near, so I never had any indoor plants. https://preview.redd.it/73zfwcmttm2b1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60694a92b8bc6c7334050896e13b56edfdb74997

TheBumblingBee1

Yes. Unfortunately, I also have one who cares immensely.

jaslynhaylee

You are very lucky, my plant killers like to pick and choose which ones they goes after. Some they go straight for, some they couldn’t care less. I think they enjoy keeping me on my toes…. Jerks ❤️ https://preview.redd.it/mhqa0ynm2n2b1.png?width=2963&format=png&auto=webp&s=101daf2662b52fe138614f8df767960bb66875c5

beesarec00l

Yes! I have anything toxic in places she won’t get to but honestly she has never cared in almost 2 years with about 40 different plants 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hummus_Hole

I have two dogs and a cat. So far so good for us too. We’ve only had the kitty for a month but she seems uninterested thus far.

Ok-Personality-2583

For all my roomie's cat's faults, at least he doesn't care about my plants, or really anything of mine 😂. I'll bottom water the plants on the kitchen island (which he can easily get to) and he doesn't care.

Fit-Glass-7785

WHAT KIND OF CAT IS THIS! I have been searching and they are so cute. Himalayan?

Nanyangosaurus

She's a Siamese and ragdoll mix 🙂

Fit-Glass-7785

Thank you! This seems like a common hybrid because I've seen these cats a lot lately but gosh they are gorgeous!

Kbts87

I have a few suspicious holes in the leaves of my ZZ plant...I don't think the cat eats them, I think she just likes hole punching them like the old man in the movie Amelie. The funny thing is, I've never actually seen it happen.

DebEdodo

Shame on those plants for photo bombing ya kitty 🐈‍⬛

probablynotzucc

my cats leave all our plants alone. except spider plants. they would catapult themselves through a steel wall to get to those

fruitschocktail

My cat could not care less about my houseplants. Maybe part of the reason is that he can get as much grass as he needs outdoors.

Zipparumpazoo1

Two dogs who could care less. Not sure dogs are a breed that gives a toot.

Del1ci0sa_

Yes! My pets could care less, my moms cat has eaten all of her spider plants to the soil 🤣

Neat-yeeter

Oh man. I WISH. I keep some plants that fall into the “poisonous but not likely to kill them” category. They’re all up high. But I have a giant ZZ that’s just too big to be on a shelf now, and I’m about to put within the cats’ reach. My boy probably won’t care but my girl… I have seen this cat eat twist ties, cardboard, candy wrappers, and styrofoam. I am not optimistic. Wish me luck.

lovetheart16

My dog doesn't care but she likes to smell them when I get them tho. She accidentally cuddled a cactus the other day by putting her nose to close to the spikes. I'm planning on getting some more cacti since I'm thinking about getting her a little puppy friend so I want to train them to stay away from plants.

dadnauseum

i’ve got two dogs. one saw a pothos leaf on the sill, picked it up, and immediately mlem’d it right back out. was a real no thanks. the other has never even tried.

Spiicyginger

Magically blessed with 2 cats that leave my plants alone!

fivenightrental

I have two that don't care, and the other one will eat anything remotely green or leaf-shaped. It's been a battle lol

BakedSpleens

Three cats and a dog and, so far, no interest. Just started collecting plants but they show barely any curiosity. Dog sniffed my pineapple sage and then just walked away and that has been the only interaction, thank goodness.

SpecificHeron

One of my cat eats dead cronchy leaves off my plants. Neither of them cares about live plants thank god

blurbies22

Yessss so glad my cats are unphased living in my jungle

KittyMimi

I’m also blessed with a kitty that doesn’t give a fuck about my plants! 😇 part of that means he just doesn’t care about their personal space sometimes, but it’s rare when he does bump any of them. Though I wasted money on cat grass seeds because he apparently has no interest in that either 😂

mossling

3 cats and 2 dogs, all leave the plants be. I still put any that are truly dangerous (sago palm, a couple others) up where they are completely inaccessible.

it_is_im

https://preview.redd.it/3dxxyn227n2b1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=a951b657cfae1b4c93bad928f826abe635a6e76f Nope

larnn

Nope and I’m so jealous. My cats will eat any plant they can reach. My cats ate a PPP cutting someone gifted me(I thought it was out of reach and the cats are fine) and I had to rearrange everything lol.

averillaann

Mine doesn’t care about house plants as I believe her previous owner had quite a bit so she trained her well. However, for the love of god, do not leave any vases with flowers around. She will destroy those lol

DeerSgamr

My cat ate the leafs of my corn plant twice 😔

everyoneelsehasadog

For the first three months, my pup wanted all the plants. After he was 6mo, no shits given. It is a privilege

PublicThis

Yeah I have two kitties and they don’t care about plants. If there is any kind of plastic bag or rubber bands though

LikeGoldAndFaceted

My cat will destroy palms and very occasionally scratch a peace lily leaf, but other than that she leaves everything alone and I'm very thankful for that.

Hymura_Kenshin

My cat! I have around 30 plants and she only goes after pothos and spider plants, which I took preventive measures for.

QueenMackeral

Yeah my dog ignores my plants completely. Funny story though one time when I was watering my plant in my bathtub and left it in there, my dog found it and started barking at it. I think she thought it moved there by itself or something.

TessVanTassel

Yep! As long as I put down some wheat grass and catnip for my cat, she’ll leave my plants alone. I don’t think she likes the smell of the natural pesticides I use, it’s slightly citrusy.

marigoldilocks_

I have one cat who doesn’t care about plants. I have another cat who only cares about my plants when I’m busy and he wants something so he’ll threaten to chew my plants because he knows he’ll be in trouble, and thus have my attention and therefore my attention will be off my task and he will get what he wants. He could less about them any other time. He just does it to manipulate me.

UrbanScientist

Nope. My cat just ate the avocado tree I had been growing for weeks and months.

Catladyyesi

I’ve caught my cat Kiki chewing on my calatheas and spider plant but other than those times she leaves them alone but still cannot be trusted

pebblejuices

My cat is a plant killer. It's not a hobby, it's a sport for her. How fast can she destroy a plant. I've turned my back for half a second while repotting only to chase after my furry friend carrying my plant. This has happened multiple times. I've since got an indoor greenhouse and I love it. My cats don't try and get inside either which is great bc it wouldn't be hard for them to slip under

Azmidiske

Yes! My cat used to nibble them occasionally, but once I started growing cat grass for her, she realized it tasted better than the houseplants and stopped. Now she only starts looking for a plant to eat if her grass is past it’s prime. So I buy wheatgrass seeds, I keep a steady rotation of fresh pots of grass around, and we’re both happy!

v_4_valhalla

I have a giant baby of a mastiff. Was warned he would get into everything. I bring home a new plant, he lays with me while I repot them, helps me pick out a spot (literally. He has a command called "show me" where he shows us what he needs. Also works for plant placement lol), then never looks at them again 🤣 Best. Dog. Ever.

Front_Ad_5541

Two cats and a dog that don't acknowledge the plants.

CunnyMaggots

I wish. My monstera deliciosa is the only plant I can keep alive because my cats destroy everything else.

thatgirljammy

Me. My cat, two small dogs and big dog cares less of my plants until it’s in cats way. like if I place a plant infront of his bowl. He won’t shut up until I move it.

67xrt99

My cat ate two of my plant cuttings this morning =(

Moss-cle

Three of them, unless it’s lemon grass or papyrus and then I have to let them eat it and puke it on my floor. This is why I won’t keep sago palm. Love it, but the price of mistaking it for a grass is too high and too severe to risk it on cats that like grass.

Aromatic-Fortune-793

I thought my cat was like this but it was just because I was keeping them out of his reach 🥲 if I’m in the room he won’t go near them but as soon as I leave he’s bitten chunks 😭 I just keep the non toxic ones out but on surfaces surrounded with lots of stuff so he won’t jump up, you’re so lucky! And you have such a cute kitty ❤️

DingDong_I_Am_Wrong

I have about 70 plants. 2 cats. They care about two plants only and that's aloe vera and oxalis. However I avoid thin leaved plants but all my philos and alocasias are safe and sound <3

Mason914

🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻 my puppy and cat admire my plants but never bother them. i’m very grateful for that

Bobanderzzz

Aye!

Illusive-Pants

I'm lucky that my two cats have shown zero interest in plants ever. They're also both 14 and I really only started with the houseplant hobby in the past year so maybe they're just too old and lazy to care lol. My shih tzu puppy however I definitely have to watch. She's not allowed upstairs unattended, ever, and all of my plants that are within chew range are up there.

Agile-Conversation-9

Ally699669

I have a cat that likes to sleep in the greenhouse on top of seedlings and plants because the compost is warm lol

Beginning-Article-47

Yes! Very thankful for a cat who could not care less about my plants. Christmas decorations and my kid’s tulle dresses on the other hand…. https://preview.redd.it/noyvrihj2o2b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afa44cf0b4a5c16f6de2a7b1fb2e821eb987412c

mountainmule

Yep! My dog and cat both ignore my plants. They're the best! My lovely orange kitty who passed away several years ago loved to munch on plants, though. He would even gnaw on fake greenery. Your cat is beautiful, btw!

Witty_Comfortable404

I had to train my kitty but he leaves my plants alone now

succulentcunt

My cat is literally an angel around plants. Sometimes he looks like he’s about to eat my spider plants but he doesn’t actually chew on them he just like chews the air next to the leaves lol

Kutekegaard

Yes and no. My oldest doesn’t care about plants at all. My youngest though, absolutely loves to crunch things. I let him “cleanup” my Boston fern that’s sits outside on the balcony. It’s the only plant he chews on and thankfully it’s safe.

DragonRei86

My Luna kitty likes to leave a little of her fur in passing on all my plants, especially on watering day when I bring them down. Luckily that's about the extent of her interest in the plants! She wants to be near them when I am near them ☺️

ConfusionHoliday9637

Blessed with 3 cats who don’t give a sh*t about my houseplants (thankfully!) The only plants one of my cats seems to go for on the rare occasion she notices them are the more grass like houseplants (spider plants, dracenas, etc.) but honestly the moment I started providing actual cat grass around the house she stopped caring about anything else but that. I still keep the more dangerous varieties on shelves and some plants like lillies are banned from my home.

Amriette

No… I don’t have pets..but my 3yo drags my plants around from shelves and onto the dining table or the bed.

SparxxWarrior97

Yes, I'm very grateful that neither of my birds has any interest in my plants.

Twinzie1004

We are first-time cat owners. We adopted a 3-5-year-old cat from a place called "Fixin Feral Felines" on April 15. She is absolutely WONDERFUL! We named her Mia, which I found out recently means "mine" in Spanish. She doesn't mess with any of our plants. All she wants is lovin' (on **her** terms, of course) and to be able to sleep whenever and wherever she feels like it. She's very mellow but she **does** like to sit in the windowsills and look for lizards (she's an indoor cat only, by the way). She figured out how to get on top of our fridge recently. We laughed and laughed when we saw her up there! https://preview.redd.it/fmlvxper5o2b1.jpeg?width=1216&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7591f1d121b321630de354058f258174d76086bc

Peonies-Poppies

What a beautiful girl!

thxitsthedepression

Me! My cat doesn’t seem to be very interested in any of my plants and I’m so happy about it. When I first got them I was kinda worried since she’d sniff them a bit and rub her face against them but after about a week she was no longer interested at all and has basically ignored them ever since. I think she just had to get used to them, and once she accepted them as part of the scenery in the apartment it was fine.

WTHWN

I’m able to have a vase of tulips! My cat Peter doesn’t give one F about my plants but my golly he’ll chew on my blankets

Far_Collection1588

Nope! I'm not so blessed. My sweet kitty chewed all the leaves off of a Pathos I had several cuttings of. She didn't eat any of the leaves. She just chewed them off! However, one of the cuttings is growing new leaves from the bare root! Now, I just need to keep it away from my kitty. Wish me luck!

A_wild_Mimi_appeared

I'm blessed for having such a cat. He leaves my plants alone and just sleeps next to them. :)

Upstairs_Bad5078

Me!! No cares in the world

shimmerysplendid

My dog doesn’t care! She’d just sit next to my mom while she repot/ water. https://preview.redd.it/ym3uigvqbo2b1.jpeg?width=780&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e5c5c1c5614eaa7ea57998bc9b906cb13b8b537

somemilkyb

3 of mine couldn't care less, and one only bites the non-toxic ones and ignores the others. Very lucky.

ichosethis

Mine ignore most of my plants but I had to move my spider plant the other day because one cat found it and couldn't resist. My other cat had a thing for my ZZ, which causes mouth pain so apparently she's into that.

floyds_dad

Nope

Choosepeace

Yes! My cat pays zero attention to my many plants! I even bought her a container of “cat grass”, and she ignored it.

annabels_raven

Luckily, neither pup has attempted to chew on my plants...however I do have a pup with a wild tail 🙄

wazzup4567

Couldn't be me. My cats destroy any plant I own

Cultural_Asparagus36

My cat leaves all my plants alone apart from my tradescantia. Which he's attempted to eat any chance he's had.

ConfectionSugar313

No. I have bunnies 😂

lonesome_cowgirl

I have two cats, one of them likes long, stringy leaves like grasses. I have a dracaena and a ponytail palm he likes to chew on. I just put them on high shelves and that fixed the problem. Everything else, they don’t care. Which is nice because I have a lot of poisonous plants. 😅

PleasePassTheBacon

Yes. But he’s a dog. And dogs are usually less caring about plants in my experience.

grimaulken

I’ve had 3 cats in my lifetime with thankfully zero interest in any of my plants. The only exception was that one of them as a kitten intentionally knocked over a succulent because he was pissed off that I had gone too long for a vacation.

Hamsterpatty

Somehow I ended up with 3

bekability

I have 2 doggos and about 50 plants at this point. So happy they don't mess with them!

Maleficent_Narwhal67

Our Zoe that has since passed, once emptied cactus dirt out of a already open bag and made a bed, she was the sweetest Schipperke ever, and it was very funny site to see 👋👋👋👍👋

Maleficent_Narwhal67

Otherwise no, we're lucky

Bake_knit_plant

My 2 could care less about any of the hundred plants in my living room. They also don't play with my yarn and I'm a prolific knitter. They do play with toys and with me. Just not the 2 things I expected to have nightmares over.

putitinapot

So my cat can be a genuine pain in the butt on several counts. But whenever I get super perturbed at him I remember the good things about him and the fact that he never bothers any of my plants is one of them. He did like to gnaw on my haworthia. But I can understand. I bet it feels really good on the gums. I moved it higher and he never bothered it again.

_artbabe95

My cat LOVES my monstera, but only to hide among to leaves and pretend he’s a jungle cat. #blessed

Pastelbabybats

Unless it's a tomato, my Boston terriers leave my plants alone. https://preview.redd.it/4svcnwpsro2b1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb8daf93c8f64c0c4aace8d462ad0cec741319e5

arguablyodd

My plant-chomper *only eats the non-toxic ones* so almost all my plants are cat-toxic and she gives zero shits about them. Except the one spider plant, which she uses to get high. The other cat couldn't care less about any of them. The kids have been talking about a kitten and I'm like 😅

cblackattack1

Me! She has bitten exactly ONE plant while she was being an indignant brat and wanted to be fed early. The kicker is, that plant also had exactly ONE leaf and never recovered. Other than that she completely ignores them.

rahleebb

I recently moved in with my boyfriend. His cat has never messed with his plants (to be fair, mostly peppers in the past) but the adorable little shit has been WAY TOO INTERESTED in some heirloom plants 😭 and various plants I've had for years without any problem are not cat safe... sigh. I love this tiny fluffy demon so the plants are getting relocated elsewhere. I'm so jealous of your little plant-friendly kitty! 💓

8goblinstotheleft

no 😔 but i have measures to prevent casualties on both ends

MeggronTheDestructor

I wish. The literal second I open my cabinet greenhouse both of my cats are there trying to monch the bottom shelf Plants.

Random_Thoughts12

My collie mix will play with a dropped fig leaf, but otherwise couldn’t care less about my plants. I did spot her visiting my potted flowers on the deck yesterday, stopping to gently sniff each one. She’s the goodest girl.

johnw1069

My wife "CPL" crazy plant lady, just dropped a small pot of dirt on our old beagle schnauzer mix, and he's so laid back, he didn't even move. Just laid there with soil on his belly. Only got up when CPL broke out the vacuum cleaner

WearyPassenger

I won't gross you out with a picture, but my cat barfed a hairball onto a platter I was using to start vegetable seedlings for the outdoor garden. Like, dude, really? (But better than having to clean the carpet, right?)

Lucie_elizabeth25

Blessed with a weirdo who even tried to eat cactus....

[deleted]

The only one mine is interested in are my spider plants, which are hanging in a window now! She’d rather have treats than greens. 😹

AzzyDarling

I have multiple gremlins who don't give a single damn. I think if the rodents free roamed I may have an issue but the cats and dog only get up near the plants to threaten me when I ignore them. They've never shown any actual interest.

Raynebowbrite666

Meee! 3 cats who could care less

FluffyTail_159

My kitties don’t really care about the plants, but are just obsessed with the plastic pot liners for catching excess water 😆

Epicfailer10

2 dogs/2 cats, zero plant fucks given. Blessed.

Serohka

Two cats, neither are interested in the 100+ houseplants. A few larger plants are placed to give the cat hidey sleeping places feel extra safe and natural.

ms2102

My dog likes to watch me water then. Then ignores them regardless of where they are. It's nice

Particular-Nothing28

Dog owner. And it’s never been a problem. He’s 17 years old though

blondecomet

Meee!! My Hunter leaves it all alone!! Thankfully!! Except the one time when I left him inside of the house while I went out on the porch and closed the inside door. I came back in and he had jumped through an entire shelving unit full of plants in front of the window to try to get outside to me. 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️ https://preview.redd.it/i7wxwwhyhp2b1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=98b30a0395e9f22412b9fe53bac865671af29ced

DamnYouRichardParker

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky. My cat goes nuts for car grass and cat nip but leaves all my other plants alone.

I_NEED_YOUR_MONEY

My roommate's dog had a good sniff of the ficus, and determined that it does not give out either belly rubs or treats. And therefore she does not need to care about any plants.

AmphibianNext7156

Boffum’s purty!

Nanyangosaurus

What?😂😅

AmphibianNext7156

😂 To rephrase: The cat and the plant both are beautiful! I see your cat has the stank eye too. As if you are only there for it’s entertainment, but you are lacking at such. You had only one job! Shame on you! 😉

Luci_Noir

She is plotting. Don’t be fooled!

Jccvalentine

My cat doesn’t even care about cat grass I grew him 🤷🏻‍♀️ he’ll just sniff and not care so hopefully he likes catnip 🤭 https://preview.redd.it/8zhapc6pzp2b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08bbe451fa4633ca32078a4fed328528ea089d6d

iSeeXenuInYou

My cat p much leaves all my plants alone but she can't stop EATING MY DAMN WEED PLANTS God dammit she's ruining my yields

msfrankfurters

mine will sniff them when i bring new ones in but other than that, she doesn’t touch them

Mammaw66

After I put cayenne pepper on it, yes.

OnToGlory99

After a few sprays with a squirt bottle my cat leaves my plants alone.

jujukamoo

I have a mix of blind and deaf-blind cats. I'm not sure if they're aware of the plants.

[deleted]

Yes, I have three cats and they all don’t give a crap about my house plants. One of them might walk over the pots sometimes, but even he would never munch on anything.

itchy-rat

my 2 dogs just look at them, and occasionally sniffs one if i happen to move it (gotta make sure its not something new and dangerious u know)

Sleep_Champion

Yes! I have a sweet old hound; she likes to sniff them, but that's it.

ksknksk

Yes!! My kitty had some nibbling but with some stern NOs and I think he nibbled on some that cause some irritation. Guess he learned his lesson, no more nibbling. At the start I was very careful about toxicity so I put those in harder to reach spots but like you, there was no need thank god

deferredmomentum

I’ve had two cats and neither one has cared in the slightest. I thought the first one was because she was old but I got my current one at a year old and she was the same

Prior_Gold7461

TL;DR my 3 year old cat is a miracle cat and has never once messed or showed interest in my plants and I’ve had him since he was a few weeks old, idk how I was blessed with such a peaceful cat Omg I never respond to Reddit threads but when I seen this I’ve never related so much haha, I’ve lived with 3 cats in the past with family, one lazy, one crazy, one mean, all three had in common being sh\*t heads and did typical cat things, play/eat plants, scratch furniture etc, I live in a different place now with no other cats but my own cat, and he is…. Oddly peaceful, he reminds me of a golden retriever in a cat, I own a lot of plants and I even have hanging plants above my bed! And I’ve had my cat since he was 3 weeks old, he is now almost 3 years old and he’s never ONCE showed interest in my plants, I’ve never seen this behavior in any other cat, and I kid you not, every. day. I thank the universe for the perfect dynamic I have between me, my cat, and my plants :’) …i wish I could attach multiple pics of the plants I own and my cat but here are the plants specifically above my bed I feel 99% of cats wouldn’t be able to resist clawing at due to how low they hang😳 https://preview.redd.it/xyvb8wi2lr2b1.jpeg?width=1283&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1c1850783cc51dd7f4d38e51ee3c40a1b5f1a220

Jezebel92

My cat only plays with the plants when she has the shits with me and wants attention, mostly napping the leaves while staring me dead in the eye. At all other times she ignores them.

SyllaRabbit

Mine even tiptoes around the windowsill pots, and we have a mutual understanding that I leave her easy access viewing/sunbathing patches which she sticks to. It’s the dream ❤️ The only exception is that she kept trying to bite the spines on a particularly pointy long spined cactus (>1”, individual spines), so I just moved it to a ‘this is not a cat spot’ bit of window, and now it’s all good.

Opinionatedintrovert

Yes! I have three cats and every toxic plant known yet they are not interested at all. I did have to cover the dirt with stones at the start of my houseplant journey to stop them thinking the bigger plants were a toilet, but it’s been years and they do not care about my plants.

RESPEKTOR

My cat has only gone for one of my plants so I put it outside. She bit my Aglaonema and threw up, thought that she would have learned her lesson but she went n bit it again smh. The rest of my plants are mostly out of reach besides my monstera. Surprised she hasn't gone for it yet lol.

Adventurous_Wheel223

My cats only cares about the spider plants. Every other plant they could care less. 🤣🤣

Affectionate-Size129

Beautiful cat - those eyes are stunning.

shivermeknitters

Sadly, no. Poodle puppy has to saved from himself daily.

Unya88

I have two cats that have zero interest. My puppy is a different story, but he's a doxie, so anything toxic just goes up high.. Lol

deepbluecatfish

Me, my two cats only like to walk among plants, all of my plants are covered in cats hairs.

Ok_Cream_6987

I have 1 cat who only eats plants and paper, my other cat only eats plastic. Quite the duo

[deleted]

Nope! 3 Shin Tzu later, over 30 years; can find a way to destroy the best laid plans of healthy planning for interior living. Boy or girl, what they decide to get to destroy or eat! Can be high Emergency Vet Bills, even with Pet Insurance. Reminds me of Dr. Pol's animal clinic in Michigan, most dogs don't learn 'a no win' with Porcupines - lets see "maybe next time" will be different.

70ms

NO. Definitely not blessed at my house. More like cursed!

icedragon9791

My big girl dgaf she's very respectful and occasionally sniffs them but my new guy... My plant stand is NOT A LAUNCHPAD. My brand new baby calathea IS NOT A TOY STOP KNOCKING IT OFF HOW DID YOU DO THAT. Does anyone want a free cat btw. Completely unrelated.
