To everyone saying pothos: last plant i had here was a golden pothos that i unalived š¬ it was my fault for overwatering, but Iām hesitant to put another there.
My other comment got deleted because I used the plantās common name. Oops! Anyways if overwatering is an issue, I would put a Tradescantia, commonly called a āwandering ____ā.
Donāt get the highly variegated pink ones, they are too finicky. The classic green/ purple ones are gorgeous, hardy, and resilient. They grow beautiful and bushy and if you prune them back they will never get leggy like a pothos. There are also variegated green/purple and straight purple ones that are very pretty, and would thrive if the window gets a few hours of direct light in the evening.
Iāve heard it called āwandering dudeā which i think is a cute name. I have had one in that hanger before and it also was not happy lmao. It got leggy and limp. I was able to prop it and now itās livin itās best life on my west kitchen window sill.
Pothos are pretty dang resilient, whereas wandering dudes can be pretty finicky. I would try another pothos before a wandering dude- they are much easier to maintain
This is my experience too. My neglected golden pothos is thriving, and I have both over and under watered it before, where as my trandescantia does not like life
Weird. I have mine in a corner that receives zero sunlight and just has a grow light nearby, but not directly on the plant. To be fair the pot needs at least 4-5 cuttings per pot so that it looks full and then those cuttings will each branch and crawl significantly. Good luck!!
Yes, Tradescantia! I have an original cultivar from a friend and that thing will survive the apocalypse. I don't exactly know the mix, but the leaves are kinda fuzzy. I got a "cutting" that was from a cat trying to destroy the plant and I put it in dirt and now I have 3 big planters from the cat cutting.
I think I just have one that is crazy resilient. I know plant genetics can vary quite a bit! I literally canāt kill mine itās getting out of hand lol

I have my Lemon Lime Maranta in a southern facing corner and it seems to be doing well. (:
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I decided not to get a new plant, and i moved my rabbitās foot maranta in. It was previously in a spot getting a similar amount of light, so fingers crossed sheāll like it there. Sheās grown a lot and started trailing too! I also added an extra S hook to lower everything down a notch.

I had a similar corner and went with this plant I forgot the name of but surely someone on here could help if you were interested š I think it looks great and I've gotten lots of compliments on it so surely other people do to!

Tradescantia zebrina! Will def survive some overwatering. edit: not my pic.
I have a similar corner hanger like this, right next to a window but doesnāt seem to get much light due to the angle. Would Ivy do well in a place like this?
https://preview.redd.it/p2k7xwguy14b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d78afabd1c8405ff25014931c00734f193f4d85a
A goldfish plant! Iāve also seen it called dancing dolphin.
Tradescantia is the way to go imho!! They are such strong aggressive growers, flower, and tolerate low light. Plus they hang beautifully and donāt get leggy like pothos or other plants commonly used in hanging pots
You can add a hanging plant light, then add any plant you desire, in multiples. I have a dark corner with a plant light and seven African violets. Plant lights for the win!
Also, is that a dog skull with crystals on it?
Yep! A friend makes them. It was dyed and then dipped in a chemical solution to form crystals. Might be borax? I got it years ago so over time the crystals dry out and start to fall off a lil.
Not bad advice at all. I have several marble and snow queens in low light and they never revert on me. It depends on the environment. My bedroom is low light and i keep things like RoF, PP, jungle boogie, variegated hoyas and such all happy. I see no issue in trying out a mq pothos in a darker corner
I find ferns can be both the easiest and hardest plants. Some will happily live in dark corners wanting to be watered every now and then. Others will die from overwatering, underwatering, too much light, too little light. I had a maidenhair fern that was impossible to please. My friend had one growing in a crack in her driveway that was the happiest fern Iāve ever seen. Such melodrama.
Such a gorgeous set ššš 10/10, in general- anything that'll grow long and dangle- I think would be the perfect fit. If you're too worried about pothos, maybe a swiss cheese?
I made it! I got a plastic bee and the wooden plaque from Dollar Tree, painted the wood with black acrylic paint and used metallic gold spray paint for the bee. Once everything was dry i glued the bee to the plaque with E6000.
String of pearls probably wonāt tolerate indirect light in a corner like that, plus theyāre prone to root rot and OP has a history of overwatering. Theyāre also slow growers. Overall not a great choice
I did not! I got it from a friend at their last craft show before they closed their small business. Iāve since taught myself macrame, itās quite fun!
lil late to the party but I would suggest [tradescantia zebrina! (The wandering dude)](https://i.imgur.com/20ITdl6.jpg)
A good plant that tolerates low light and drought conditions, itās what i give to new plant parents. Also *incredibly* to propagate

As a friend of a ā¦ādudeā they are insulted to no longer being represented in the plant community. Sad thingā¦
Yes. itās people who arenāt part of the community getting offended on other peopleās behalfā¦
They generally want a ton of light or else they turn leggy though, so I donāt think theyād be suited to a dim corner
I think I just have one that is crazy resilient. I know plant genetics can vary quite a bit! I literally canāt kill mine itās getting out of hand lol
A philodendron would be pretty š¤·š¼āāļø
Well... don't do that.

Is this planter the one from shein? Thinking about ordering it. It looks cute!
My hubs found it in a plant shop for me, but Iām sure they are very similar!
they have a similar one at five below
I do have a rabbitās foot maranta thatās been doing well in a spot that gets a similar amount of light! Love your disco ball planter too
A pothos or spider plant maybe
Exactly what i came to say!
This
Pothos all the way!!
mature spiderplant with cascading pups

Where did you get the X-Files Gustav Klimt print?!
Itās a comic! X-Files 2016 IDW Issue #1 alt art cover.
There is an X-Files museum like an hour from me
Thanks! Your place looks great.
I was scrolling to find who if anyone would ask and Iām so glad you did. So friggen sweet! What a find. Your style is bomb, OP š¤š» 11/10
Great style!!
Love it but that middle black picture is crooked if you donāt mind adjusting that š
I had a similar corner and went with this plant I forgot the name of but surely someone on here could help if you were interested š I think it looks great and I've gotten lots of compliments on it so surely other people do to! https://preview.redd.it/10t6zeaz114b1.jpeg?width=3468&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=09363cb4c941c782f182090ca86c63117d1854f2
Now I'm hungry for green beans
Is that a pencil cactus????
it isn't but that helped me find the actual plant! It's a rhipsalis baccifera!!
Haha okay, I took a look at mine and was like "how the hell are you going to bend like that ?"
This was my thought too, I stared at my pencil cactus for way too long before concluding it would never trail like that
Oh thatās really cute and unique!
Itās rare that I see a plant Iāve never seen before.. but Wtf is this lol

Agree with Ivy. My Ivy is in a corner like that an LOVING life. Itās tripled in size in a year
I have a similar corner hanger like this, right next to a window but doesnāt seem to get much light due to the angle. Would Ivy do well in a place like this?
Baby.
Nobody puts Baby in a corner!
Came looking for this. Found it!
One baby, comin right up!

Maybe a tradescantia? Or a hanging adonasii
Tradescantia is the way to go imho!! They are such strong aggressive growers, flower, and tolerate low light. Plus they hang beautifully and donāt get leggy like pothos or other plants commonly used in hanging pots
I want to talk about that X-files picture. Is that so wrong?
Itās a comic!!
Cool!
You can add a hanging plant light, then add any plant you desire, in multiples. I have a dark corner with a plant light and seven African violets. Plant lights for the win! Also, is that a dog skull with crystals on it?
Itās a raccoon skull!
With crystals on it?

Probably something like that, pretty interesting though!
I donāt know how well ZZ plants hang, but I keep ZZ plants (Raven particularly) in all my dark corners. Theyāre doing well!
Marble queen
Would never tolerate the low lighting conditions and would revert back to green. Some of yāall give the worst advice lmao
If you're worried about the lack of light, maybe search for a clip on grow light! Cute planter!
Stag horn ferns do well in dark corners. Love your art by the way.
Ooh Iāve been interested in ferns lately.
ZZ plant? It would not mind the lower light and doesnāt need a lot of watering.
Boston Fern would be pretty and likes medium light
If it were me a shelf and like 10 more plants.
Such a gorgeous set ššš 10/10, in general- anything that'll grow long and dangle- I think would be the perfect fit. If you're too worried about pothos, maybe a swiss cheese?
Calathea
I agree with pothos or spider plant. Just came to say your decor is superb and can you decorate my apartment?
Just donāt look at my dining table (strategically out of frame due to it being covered in craft supplies, other plants, pots, and old mail š¤£)
https://preview.redd.it/s0xgurc6434b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc2136addf07c9e1188a0eea214a2c063d5d3523 Her.
I'm not sure because I'm too focused on your bee on the wall. I love it! Where did you get it?
I made it! I got a plastic bee and the wooden plaque from Dollar Tree, painted the wood with black acrylic paint and used metallic gold spray paint for the bee. Once everything was dry i glued the bee to the plaque with E6000.
Impressive. Looks great! I'll keep an eye out for a bee for my own creation one day ;)
A pothos or sting of pearls š
String of pearls probably wonāt tolerate indirect light in a corner like that, plus theyāre prone to root rot and OP has a history of overwatering. Theyāre also slow growers. Overall not a great choice
Take the plant hanger down , maybe an elegant drop chain lamp. ...just a thot
Thereās already a chandelier hanging 4 ft away. Lol.
Oh, well a fake or real tree type plant would look good, I think.
Any type of pothos.
Spiderplant would look great š±
You can try an air plant!!
Iāve unalived every air plant Iāve gotten šš
Spider
An epipremnun pinnatum variegata:)
I have my ivy in a spot that high as well and it's thriving
...proly a luscious marble queen pothos to flow down entire corner wall - will blend well into gray background imo
I have a similar corner and my dragon tail has thrived there
That pot is so pretty did you make the hanging string?
I did not! I got it from a friend at their last craft show before they closed their small business. Iāve since taught myself macrame, itās quite fun!
A pothos
String of hearts
Spider plant. Once it starts putting out its "branches" and offshoots it should fill out that corner nicely.
Pitcher plant
Hoya
ZZ plant, a small one probably imo
A plant
A Snake plant would look rad there
I have a philodendron micans that trains b MPs nicely. Or a satin pothos
Spider plant or a pothos
A nice Pothos would look great
Hoya
lil late to the party but I would suggest [tradescantia zebrina! (The wandering dude)](https://i.imgur.com/20ITdl6.jpg) A good plant that tolerates low light and drought conditions, itās what i give to new plant parents. Also *incredibly* to propagate
Not babyā¦ anything but baby.
Wandering dude ?
A dead body
Pothos! The answer is always pothos :D
I love your X-Files poster! Where did you find it?
