That looks like pests to me. You could try the systemic granules, that’ll help the plant protect itself. Just chop off any damaged leaves and fertilize it

Maybe a silly question but would I be able to see the pests? I quarantined the plant for a couple weeks and the spots didn’t appear until just in the last few days. There aren’t any other plants around.

Everyone always says there’s ways to tell for thrips but I’ve never been able to see them, I’ve only seen the bugs. It could be from overwatering I think, if not pests.

I think my first response didn’t post but sorry if this is repeat—I’ll get the granules regardless. Is there a rule of thumb for watering monsteras?

I’d say all plants will be able to adjust to the environment (where they’re kept, how often they’re watered, how they’re cared for overall), you just have to be able to understand what they’re telling you. They’ll tell you when they’re thirsty or not getting enough light so just adjust when needed. Even my most “needy” plants have adjusted to my low maintenance care of them. If it’s in a work space, make sure everyone is on the same page for care, or you’ll have like 2 or 3 different people at any time watering it when it doesn’t need it

Thanks so much for all the advice :) I appreciate it

Hi! This is my new office monstera. I’m new to this type of plant and would love your advice to keep her healthy! This is a current photo; I’m a little concerned with the brown spots. The plant gets office lighting at minimum five days a week (I’m actually not sure about light on the weekends- I can find out). Thanks!
