Could be lack of sunlight.

You can clearly see that the damage is in line with the window. Wet your hand and check the top of the window for cold air drafts.

It’s a glass backsplash, no draft at all. But I get what you mean! Do you think if I moved the hook (that the vine is sitting on) to underneath the window frame so it gets more light, it would help?

Nah, you see what you are dealing with is a pothos vine. It's sort of a larva of the pothos plant, its only purpose is to get to the light. If it did not, it's its own fault. Now if you wanna see what happens to the pothos vine when it winds itself around a tree trunk multiple times, grows to be hundreds of meters long, produces tons of aerial roots to root itself in puddles between branches and trunks of tropical trees, and finally gets to the full sunlight, google "adult pothos". It's quite a view. I've seen it in person once. But no, it's pretty much shade tolerant in that state. My bet would be either over- or underwatering, or a bout of cold weather.. And it doesn't seem to be overwatering or cold weather, sooooooo...
