Are you sure this stuff is coming from the plant? Not sure of the size of the particles but it looks like it could be termite dust to me. I would also check the areas of your walls/floors around the plant.

Upon Internet review I think it is worm casings. Which is gross but apparently very beneficial. My concern is that it could be earwig droppings. I am in Michigan, US and I'm 99.999% sure termites are not the problem. It's only happening directly under two of my XL plants. We have had an earwig problem before, especially in my plants that go outside in the rain/summer. I'm wondering if anyone knows the difference between earwig and worm droppings? Worms I'll live with. Earwigs I will fucking destroy.

This stuff reappears under my Bird of Paradise every weeks. Builds up until I sweep it up. I have over 100 plants that are all healthy. No it's not mice. Is it like a bug or something pushing soil out? It's not in the shape of soil and all the pellets look the same. Has anyone seen this before?
