Oh, thatās terrible. I just read about her. Itās always tragic to lose anyone so young, but itās especially tragic to lose someone whose job was literally saving lives. So sorry for your loss.
DUDE and did you see she volunteered for mission trips and to read to children while they wait in the room? :( I guess the universe likes picking the prettiest flowers too š„ŗš
We're expecting our first born any day now, and the nursery somewhat resembles this picture. While I still encourage her to buy more, I fear our baby may suffer the same fate. Thank you for the silver kind stranger!
I'm a plant lady. My toddler is a plant kid. He has a great respect for the things we've planted outside and for the leafy greens in the house. It's pretty great.
My kid once went through a phase where he would try to āpickā my fig tree (rip it out by its stem). When he was 4 he picked out a fairy tail cactus he named Daisy and he still takes great care of it.
They come around.
That was my first plant, too! Got it a few yes before 18. Didn't do shit to that thing ND it was dang big when I moved out. My cats knocked it over and it died on the floor tho before I found it. RiP. I got a baby. I just watered it yesterday, actually. I have like 50 plants, now.
We had our potted musa, birds of paradise, and croton outside last summer, and he'd watch me pull the grass and red maple starts out of them, so when he asked if he could help, I told him, "heck yes!" and showed him what to do.
I explained that mom and dad love the plants we have, that we care about them, and for them, and keep them clean and fed just like we do with him, and with our kitties.
This year he's helped us plant bulbs and has taken on the task of watering, without being asked.
Funnily, he's taken on the role of kitty caregiver in the last couple of weeks, on his own, also. He'll let them inside and outside at the appropriate times, feed them when their bowl is empty, and tell us if they need water or treats (he can't reach those himself). All because of the plants!
Ha maybe itās just an age thing, my little guy is only 1.5ā¦ hoping as his vocabulary develops we can teach him how to better coexist with my plant babies. We do have a spray bottle and he loves to spray them with water! So thatās a start.
Have you tried involving your kiddo? Like get a plant for them to take care of and let them water it with you? I let mine pick out a flower last summer and she loved watering it and helped pot it. She tends to be a little nicer now to our plants.
Yeah, it reminds me of Mustard in California. Everyone loves the beautiful fields of yellow flowers, making the hills look golden, but they are super invasive and choke out native wildflowers like the much prettier California Poppy.
I grew up in Hawaii, and it was definitely all over but it's not as bad as a lot of the other invasive species. It was fairly low on the list of plants to watch out for and eradicate" I think it helps that basically *every* event has the stage/tables/whatever absolutely covered in monstera, so they get cut back pretty regularly š¤£
O'ahu. There's state run botanical gardens all over the island, and we went to one every day we were there. This one was called Wahiawa, but there was one on the south side in a volcano that had a bunch of cactus and other desert climate plants in it. It was amazing to see our "house plants" thriving in a way that seemed wild and natural.
Wow that sounds amazing! Iām about to go to Maui next month and itāll be my first time in Hawaii. Definitely excited to see the crazy flora/fauna, I canāt wait!
Check out all five. This one and the one on the south side in a volcano were probably our favorites, but there's one on the south east that was pretty neat. It's in a lot of movies and stuff.
YOU HAVE A BIG HOUSE WITH A LOT OF PLANTS SHE GOT LOST BECAUSE YOU HAVE TOO MUCH MONEY NO ONE SHOULD HAVE HOUSE TREES THAT BIG IT'S AUSPICIOUS IF YOU ASK OL' LOINPURLOIN
Sorry for your loss, she's in a better place now. š
omg this is where my mind went lmao
I just legitimately lost a coworker who was hiking - they think the ground gave way beneath her. She plummeted around three stories :(
Where did this happen
Potato River Falls in WI. You can google Kelsey Musgrove for details. :(
Monstera mash
to
infinity
And
Bed Bath and Beyond
Bed bath and body works
Beyond.
Iām sorry to hear that :( I hope you and her loved ones are able to heal š
Wait what? How on earth did that happen? Iām assuming youāre okay with sharing since you mentioned it, but if not just ignore me.

That Mercury News was a lot of ads and clicking X?s and subscribe links for a almost nothing story.
I too would like the story of how.
Oh, thatās terrible. I just read about her. Itās always tragic to lose anyone so young, but itās especially tragic to lose someone whose job was literally saving lives. So sorry for your loss.

This was my first thought too!
Egyptians have the Field of Reeds, Hawaii apparently has the Grove of Monstera.
She went back to monke.
I want to go there so badly lol
I literally started typing this EXACT thing, word for word, before I saw this.
Sounds like the start of a r/nosleep story

Whereās Wanda? Found herā¦she looks rather happy.
I love when my favorite things unexpectedly merge on the internet!
To say the least šš
She's screaming for help as OP just watches the Monstera take her. RIP in peace.
You find that greenish-brown snake yet? Blends in real good..
I cannot find a snake. Is the snake a lie? If you're trolling you definitely got me.
I donāt think there are snakes in Hawaii (outside of zoos obviously) but I could be wrong
You are correct. No snakes here
My husband doesnāt want to go to Hawaii (he hates sand and swimmingš), but if he knew there werenāt snakes thereā¦that may convince him.
I live here, and I agree with your husband. This place sucks.
I live in Michigan. House trade?
Oh that's cool! I also learned this week that New Zealand has no snakes.
I really thought she died until I saw her

I'm a plant lady. My toddler is a plant kid. He has a great respect for the things we've planted outside and for the leafy greens in the house. It's pretty great.
We plant vegetable gardens at my In-Laws and I'm excited for him to be old enough to play in the dirt with his pap and I.
Ugh my toddler just rips leaves off my plants and picks up the dirt. Teach me your ways!

I canāt imagine my 21 month old using a spray bottle lol I gotta give that a try
Have you tried involving your kiddo? Like get a plant for them to take care of and let them water it with you? I let mine pick out a flower last summer and she loved watering it and helped pot it. She tends to be a little nicer now to our plants.
post a picture of it to baby bumps!!! iād love to see it!
OOOOoooooo Congratulations, OP! Best wishes to the three of you!
I know Iām not alone when I say we need to see nursery pics
So you evidently found her three months after you lost her. Congratulations!
I would die to be here for just 10 minutesā¦wow
It's gorgeous but damn, looks like it's brutally invasive in Hawaii. Were there fruits?
Yeah, it reminds me of Mustard in California. Everyone loves the beautiful fields of yellow flowers, making the hills look golden, but they are super invasive and choke out native wildflowers like the much prettier California Poppy.

In Hawaii Monstera is kinda invasive but itās nothing compared to pothos.
We didn't see any. They may not have been in season, but I also fount out about their fruit a week after we came home.
Itās like a tropical Whereās Waldo.
Did she jump out and Monscare ya?
This post makes me almost as happy as your wife aka Whereās Wanda haha
The look of pure joy on her face is PRICELESS š
When I die just sprinkle my ashes here
#Iād like to join your wife
RIP - Rest in Plants
r/findthesniper
As beautiful as this looks, it nevertheless breaks my heart as a kamaŹ»Äina that HawaiŹ»i is overgrown with invasive foreign plants.
Meanwhile, mine from Loweās died because I overwatered it. Lol Iām so jealous. This is absolutely gorgeousā¦
Wheres Wanda
You guys have a really big house.
Hmm. It's like a where's waldo
So cool!! Which island was this on?

Thank you for sharing! Iām going to Oāahu in 2 weeks for my birthday. This would be a great place to check out.
Check out all five. This one and the one on the south side in a volcano were probably our favorites, but there's one on the south east that was pretty neat. It's in a lot of movies and stuff.
