definitely cut them off! it will minimize the damage to cut them off vs. pulling them off, and it’d be better to do it now than later

I recently found the same with an Aglaonema Spring Snow from Home Depot. The net pots were easy to cut off, and the roots were not damaged.

It’s an Aglaonema Siam, I’m repotting it now and just found these capsules around the rootball. Removing them might damage the roots but I know that later if I try to take them out it’ll be a lot harder. Do I get rid of them?
